You can get a big sandwich for 50 cents? Whoa amazing, tells us so much about their economy.
Don't know if trolling or actually serious but yeah, you can get a lot for your American Dollar
They're only doing it because of PR. And probably doubling their lawsuits to make up for their moment of weakness.
$290 a month? God damn, no wonder everybody gets China to build their shit. That's fucking ridiculous. About fucking time they get a pay raise of some sort though.
Eh the wage difference amounts to something like a ten dollar difference on the peripheral. The bigger draw is the fact that the entire industry is crammed in one place. Everything is there so you don't need to ship stuff around much.
Fucking bullshit I say they get paid just like american workers. So now the corporations would have no where to find cheap labor and we can finally live in harmony. I was high

For example here in latvia most food items and basic need items cost less than in US or Europe but stuff like gas, electronics and everything else imported costs like 2 to 3 times more than it would in america. And yet out average pay a month is a bit more than $500 (this is for majority of jobs, not high standing ones that require corruption to get into). Hell having an iphone is a status sign as being richer than quite a lot of people. Most cars are bought used cause that's much cheaper and seeing a car newer than 2000 is again a status symbol. So yeah, while food is cheaper here, everything else costs more and yet our economy is so much worse. And our gas price is $7.4 per gallon. Yay for being a first world country with third world economy.
They doubled their pay

has raised wages of its Chinese workers by 16-25 percent from this month

It's not perfect but it's an easy way to roughly determine if a country's currency is overvalued or undervalued
Okay then, my bad. Though I still think it's a terrible way to base money value on a single item.
It's still a nazi corporation.
It's still a nazi corporation.
Sure, so are all the other ones that use foxconn (aka most of your computer parts)
I think its nice of apple to give them a pay raise. I remember stories of foxconn factory workers committing suicide.
