Well it allows people to do some pretty crazy stuff but its more about controlling the body, nothing to do with god or magic.

Meditation is about controlling the mind, not the body
Lenin isn't decomposing for more than 70 years already.
Soviet Guru >> Any other guru.
Well he does get mouldy quite frequently, which is why they have to bathe him in formaldehyde and various other chemicals so often :c
Unless replaced with a special glucose solvent, the fluids in his body will freeze into sharp-spiked ice-crystals which rupture cell-membranes and cause irreparable tissue damage.
This isn't nearly as crazy as the shit that sometimes happens in my country in the more backward areas.

No it's not? And the mind is also part of your body..??
But anyway, ever heard of those crazy fishermen who, without any diving equipment, stay underwater for so long and reduce their heart-rate down to about once per 10 seconds through meditation?
Must have been some Australian aboriginal or something like that, but it was pretty convincing that meditation is for the ultimate badasses.

Uh mate think you got the wrong country there, last time I checked it's pretty much desert over here :V
Punjabi people have some really weird beliefs, I can tell you that.
Like, this sihk friend of mine told me their own personal jesus was a war general, and has reincarnated like 9 times, always as a great punjabi general, waging war and freeing punjab from india over and over again till the end of times. His first reincarnation was this badass old man with curly white beard, white turban and a white eagle on his shoulder. He's got him as a keychain for his car keys lol.
Their war for independence and secession is also the reason why they got that sabers and sword as their symbol, or so he told me
