What animal will it be named after.
British tanks are never named after animals.
They seem to apply letters to certain vehicles. For example, all our MBT's start with 'c': Churchill, Cromwell, Challenger/Challenger II, Chieftain, etc.
British light tanks are all given names starting with 's', such as Scimitar, Scorpian, Spartan, Sultan, etc.
Edit:
I just realised that my cousin may end up in one of these. He's a Cavalry Officer and commands light tanks.

Valentine, Vickers LT, Tetrarch, Firefly, Matilda... :P
Nah you're right, since 1942 most British tanks names begin with C. Centurion, Comet, Conqueror etc.
Also, for a while, British SPG's were named after religious figures/objects. Sexton, Priest, Abbot, etc.
Its late/post war light armoured cars named after animals for whoever asked. Greyhound, Staghound, Ferret, Fox, Vixen, Pig, and in the modern day, Jackal, Panther, Husky, Mastiff, Ridgeback. Of course, their are exceptions, Saladin, Saracen, etc.

Crap. You're right.
But then again, they are cars, not tanks.

Did you read the OP sparky?
US defence firm General Dynamics has won a contract to build a new light tank for the British army.
I can think of some things we need more in the current conflict than a replacement for the Scimitar. We need more Chinooks and more Apaches. Even a replacement for the Warrior IFV would be more useful out there.
When I hear General Dynamics I think of this

I was only interested in the Space Shuttle on top of the Boeing jet.
Better than a fucking land-rover aye boys.
It's not going to change anything about how shit our unprotected Land Rovers are. It's a light tank.
