Wow, I never thought I'd see a headline like this Man poor Monty, I loved seeing his animation in Red Vs. Blue and the bit of RWBY i watched. He was very talented. May he rest in piece
It hurts even more when you read Meg's journal entry:
Wow that's so damn touching

Already posted this in the RT thread, but might as well put it here too; I just want to say that even though he has passed, Monty will live on in the hearts and minds of those he has inspired, myself included. Were it not for him, there's a pretty good chance I would not have gotten back into writing and drawing, or met some of the people I now know. While I never got to know him personally, he always seemed like a great man, one of whom I saw as a hero, and now, a legend. Rest in Peace and Godspeed Monty Oum, you magnificent bastard, the man who gave Red Riding Hood a way to defend herself from the wolf, gave a lotus warrior a voice, and had damn awesome dance moves. May you impress even God in Heaven with your skills and efficiency.
May he find peace beyond this world. I am very sad about this and my condolences go to his family, friends and fans of his works. While I only vaguely recognize his name from youtube, it is always sad to hear of a loved person that dies. Makes me think of those I have lost, and I am going to lose, and those who are going to lose me. Death is such a strange and scary thing. :(
I feel like a dick for only finding out about this after AH hasn't uploaded anything for a while. His ambition was incredible.

Hearing Burnie and the crew nearly tearing up was heart wrenching.
Tough time for everybody involved at RT. Just hearing their voices is difficult, and I've absolutely never met the man.
