Sorry if we only approve of ideas that aren't total shit.

Move to Scandinavia.

Jeez I already gave up. it'd be nice if the rest of the guns would stop firing at me. I'm quite dead I assure you.
Ugh, those thieving fat cats are slowly killing us. If only one could pop them and release the money for everyone, like in that Disturbed music video with The Guy and the mob.
But no, they don't pop so easily; protected and powerful as they are...

Come to Norway, it's the coldest paradise on earth.

In an extremely fucked up way, the way Facepunch argues would fix the economy is exactly how this sounds.
People are getting fed up with Republicans. In fact the majority of my friends and there families are all republican yet they to are seriously pissed off at the ones in office. Same can be said for many others across America. If something serious doesn't happen to fix this shit then it's only a matter of time before country wide riots start pouring onto the streets. Because how it is now is an American is either proud that they live here, or completely hates it. And both wont stand for this for much longer.
It is no longer Republicans VS Democrats, it's the Rich VS Democrats and everyone else. And one side has a huge advantage over the other that it just doesn't realize it has yet.

I don't mind cold and I love winters, so that's fine by me.
But I don't think I can learn a 4th language.

Heavily Tax the wealthy and corporate, They will create jobs (in their respective companies.) to offset the decrease in monetary gain.
SIMPLE.
[editline]22nd October 2011[/editline]
In short. USA is fucked up.
IMO this is a two sided edge: yes, there is a huge problem with people having inordinate amounts of money. BUT, they don't just magically *poof* the money, they did something right somewhere along the line, and that got them where they are now. I do think they should have more taxes (And unavoidable ones at that), but the people that are all like "THE RICH ARE RICH SO GIMME THEIR MONEY" are just ridiculous. if we did things the way some people wanted to, we would be essentially thiefs.
I guess I'm lucky that my father has a job that can support the house and family. I'm just worried about what'll happen when I move out if nothing changes. This country is slowly getting worse.
Its been like this for a long time just about everywhere.
However, these numbers give it a different touch. What the hell are you doing America?

But... jobs cost money.

Are you a CEO of a multimillion company by any chance?
But... jobs cost money.
Giving the extremely rich more money isn't going to change shit. They already have more money than they can use. Giving it to the people who use every penny of their salary means the demands rise, and therefore more people get jobs.
Are you a CEO of a multimillion company by any chance?
No, but that doesn't remove the fact that you can't just "make jobs" to get more money. If that were the case, we wouldn't be having this issue. Jobs cost money because the workers have to be paid. THats... basic economics. Hell, thats common sense.

Okay, thats called socialism. I'm not saying give the rich money either. I was stating that jobs cost money, and thats ALL I was stating.
But, side comment, how the hell does "getting more money" equate to "hey, I think I want a job now" *poof job appears* "hey look, a job for me"
How much shit is the American middle/lower class supposed to take before people start getting angry at the right people?
And, after that, how angry do they have to get to extract some real change?

And the rich have been earning more and more while the rest is suffering deeply.
See the imbalance? let's fix that by plugging the loopholes the wealthy use to avoid paying taxes and similar, and in general give the whole system a much needed overhaul.
Worst case scenario is going Robin Hood style, though HOPEFULLY the rich will co-operate before that'll be necessary.

The american middle/lower class is taking too much shit as it stands, hence the nationwide protests.

Yes, exactly. I agree completely.
The worst case scenario seems... vague. But still, not all of the rich got there by stealing it from the poor. Some did, I completely agree. But just because you are rich doesn't mean you are bad.

Sure, but I know so many people who give barely any credit to the protestors, and it's infuriating. Hell, half the people I know are Republicans who think Obama is incompetent and that everything is the fault of the Democrats, and that if you don't a job you're just lazy, regardless of the situation.
IT'S INFURIATING

Incredibly infuriating. Job hunting sucks, and if you don't have the right connections, its damn near impossible. If it weren't for a good friend of mine, i wouldn't be employed with my little call center job as I am right now.

Then they wouldn't mind giving some money so things can be set right for once.
And also be a good example, thus putting the worse people and companies in a bad light.
Don't worry, guys! The Republicans'll save us...
...by shooting down job-creating legislation, banning abortion, and making sure that mean ol' Communist Obama is a one-term president! IT MAKES PERFECT SENSE!!!

Holy fucking shit, nobody is saying "GIVE THE MONEY TO ME!!11!!!"! We're saying that they have to pay their fair share just like everybody else.
Will people like you stop saying that stupid crap please!

Are Americans like you allergic to Socialism or something? Guess what, now this may boggle your tiny mind, but your country has many socialistic programs and you guys are better off for having them.
