Tbh, it is the same kind of thought that leads to sociopaths.
Okay before you pull a Lankist, I'm going to preemptively assume that you don't know what "sociopath" means;
Sociopathy is the result of social conditioning which leads to a lack of natural human values. It refers strictly to a social condition where a person knows, yet has been socially conditioned to disregard, the intrinsic human values which are believed to be universal.
Disrespecting a dead duck does not mean you've been conditioned to disregard human thought processes.
They probably were then cleaned and frozen, ready to be eaten.
just an average day at mcdonalds
Those animals should go re-kill themselves for being successfully hunted, worthless!
Tbh, it is the same kind of thought that leads to sociopaths. Hunters that don't seem to respect the animals they kill are usually pretty fucked in the head too.
so any predatory animal is socopathj nice logic
yeah why should you hurt animals by hunting when you can just buy meat from the supermarket where no animals are harmed
If they're killed to be eaten, then it's not that bad. Why aren't we eating these birds anyway? McWildPigeon Burger, mmhm that's good eating!
That is a fucking waste. I don't mind hunting when its for sport or survival, however that is doing way more then needed. There are more then a couple families in that pile.
Yeah it's not like you can freeze the meat and eat it until the next hunting season.
Gunning down helpless wildlife for no reason whatsoever, not even for the purpose of feeding your family. I'm sorry, but I see no reason to side with her at all. Just because the things she killed (for no reason) are not human doesn't many her any less of a piece of shit.
Especially after that photo. (I'm not entirely sure why people were rating funny in my first post about the photo)

There's nothing wrong with going out and getting your own meat sometimes. It's fresher, and you can't buy much of it in your average grocery store.
That's in poor taste but going from there to wanting her to die is a stretch

Ugh....just finished reading the comments section. I now feel sick to my stomach. First of all, yes she killed way more than she should have. If you are going to bother killing that much wildlife, at least use it for a purpose (such as feeding your family, research, or other useful things.) Don't kill just for sport or to show off, its a horrible way to live. Having said that, those people in the comments section are fucking scum. They look at themselves as compassionate and reasonable people, yet they are advocating the suicide and death of another human being who is just doing something to pass the time in her life. Honestly, there is no winner here....but there is no need to be such a colossal asshole to express your beliefs. You could simply say, "I don't like the idea of people killing animals for sport. Why can't they only kill to feed?" Not "Oh! She killed some poor defenseless animals, OFF WITH HER HEATHEN HEAD!" This is just disgusting.
I can identify with trophy hunting. The act of killing an animal does not seem overly cruel, it is only if there is pain that it is regrettable.
We should end all biological research then. After all, scientists are horrible disgusting murderers who breed animals just to kill them with vaccines. :downs:
I'd like to point out that "trophy hunting" doesn't mean you don't eat the animal. Take deer for example. If you shoot a large buck with a good rack, you might want to mount the head. That doesn't keep you from eating the meat. Did she kill a lot of birds? Yes. Obviously she didn't go over her limit, which is specifically meant to prevent overhunting. Just because she has a massive pile doesn't mean any of it is going to waste.

And hunting seasons solely exist for game population management.
no it's the fact that there's a large pile of dead things with a woman standing on top of it
no it's the fact that there's a large pile of dead things with a woman standing on top of it
I don't see whats so disturbing about it, she is showing what she shot, pretty much every hunting I know, myself included does it.
i'm a city slicker i'm not used to killing things and standing on top of them
i'm a city slicker i'm not used to killing things and standing on top of them
It's a matter of pride really. It isn't incredibly easy to shoot a bird as it flies.
yeah that's where we seem to have a disconnect. being proud about killing an animal is weird to me. i'm not in the pro-"hurl insults at olypmic athlete" category, but it's still odd and distasteful for me.

yeah but they are living things, and shooting them for skill is terrible.
yeah but they are living things, and shooting them for skill is terrible.
That is more or less a matter of opinion, and I'm inclined to disagree with you as I love bird hunting. But I can see where you stand in that matter.
yeah but they are living things, and shooting them for skill is terrible.
A bird is obviously on the same level as a human. It's not really terrible unless they let the meat go to waste.

they're just animals
they're just animals
The value some place on the life of an animal is often times equal to the value of a human life. Who's place is it to judge the value of a life, regardless of species?
oh god the first comment alone made me gag I'm not going any further
The value some place on the life of an animal is often times equal to the value of a human life. Who's place is it to judge the value of a life, regardless of species?
An animal that shows a basic inelligence(get food, reproduce, avoid danger, protect young, etc.) is hardly the same as a sentient animal with organized society.
