On the national level

On the state level (sorry for wikipedia, but its from the census)

California #1 for gun murders, and with some of the highest control measures
California is also #1 in population. More people = more murders.
Look at the gun murders per 100 people. California is way down in 13th place.
Also why the fuck are there so many murders in DC?
what does detachable magazine ban mean?
they name makes it sound like you can't put more ammo in your gun, its just welded shut now.
I find it fucking hilarious how a weapon would be banned for having a 2cm notch of steel under the barrel :v:
But you can attach knives to that! Clearly something must be done about all the bayonet drive-bys we have every day.

Still, 13 out of 50 is a bit high, don't you think? And DC, another area with high gun regulation, is high up on gun murders. Perhaps they have higher poverty levels?
Right, like Pablo with his Mexican-cartel, full auto AK47 will care about detachable magazines
Are you kidding? A small turbo 4-cylinder is illegal while giant Cummins diesels with smoke stacks, V8 header rat rods and illegal exhaust Harley bikes are readily go to smog up the place?
Well, to be fair, now a days diesel has been so villanized that it's become cleaner then gas in many cases cases, with things like DEF and such, and just because a harley is loud, doesn't mean its not clean, a muffler doesn't do anything for emissions, rat rods aren't clean at all though.
although you most definitely have a point, just you could find a better way to make it.
like how practically any modern car runs cleaner then your lawnmower

There are states with less gun regulation that are higher than California as well. The pathology of crime is more complex than whatever weapon criminals use.

Whenever you fire off a round in your AR-15 and it locks to the rear, you have to place another round directly into the chamber. This is going to work out super well.
The Supreme court doesn't protect that. In fact, following their decision, you could theoretically introduce a lot of gun legislation to whittle it down to protecting only a few guns.
At best, this can only protect the most commonly used firearms by a majority of the population.
At the same time though with United States v. Miller, this was one of the main points of the entire case "The Second Amendment protects only the ownership of military-type weapons appropriate for use in an organized militia."
It may be arguing semantics, but as of the moment the majority of these regulations are to stop, "military-style weapons" from being on the streets. That completely goes against the Supreme Courts ruling, and as such several of the recent Gun Control amendments[such as the 1986 Hughes Amendment], was also against the Supreme Court's ruling. The unofficial militia needs access to military types rifles in the same respects as the actual military. All though I mostly despise NFA 34, it's entire enactment was based on weapons not being in widespread use at the period of time with the US Military. Hence why Miller was charged for having a sawn-off shotgun.
On that note aswell,
Two of the justices involved in the decision had prior military experience, Justice Black as a Captain in the field artillery during WWI and Justice Frankfurter as a Major in the Army legal service; however, there is no way to know if they were personally aware of the use of shotguns by American troops. During WWI, between 30,000 and 40,000 short-barreled pump-action shotguns were purchased by the US Ordnance Department and saw service in the trenches and for guarding German prisoners.
Short-barreled shotguns were in widespread use with the US Military in the Trenches of WW1, so the charges against Miller were pretty horse-shit anyway.

It used to be you could get a special magazine release that could be operated by a bullet, which dropped the magazine free from the rifle. This was to circumvent the "proper" way to do it, which involved field-stripping.

That was actually the suggestion of Senator Yee. Weld a metal or plastic magazine to the gun's receiver, which is usually aluminum.

Most of those diesel trucks are classed as medium-duty and are therefore exempt from smog testing. They're doing no favors to the environment, and motorcycles release more harmful NOx emissions than cars do.
alcoholism is a crime?
alcoholism is a crime?
Not sure if it is in the states, but you can get fined for being drunk in public in Belgium, that I know for sure.
alcoholism is a crime?
Drunk and Disorderly in public is a crime in most states.
