stone is the dumbest shit ever why do they teach kids this retardedness.
It's like Internet Explorer 6. It's still used widely even if it is obsolete.
Why haven't we switched over to Metric in the UK?
You've gotten farther than we have. We're still using pounds, feet, and miles. :downs:
Haha, google you've done it again.
That's a good reason to lose weight. I bet if he never saw the picture he wouldn't have done anything
I find it funny how more than half of this thread is discussing measurement systems instead of the topic.
What is stone anyway? I know pounds are US Imperial and Kilos are Metric but what is stone considered, UK Imperial measures?
nothing is US imperial, anything imperial is UK imperial, or just imperial
I hate you.
I love everybody :buddy:
I find it funny how more than half of this thread is discussing measurement systems instead of the topic.
Not much else to discuss. Man realizes he's fat, man loses weight. Should we start up a philosophical discussion about physical beauty?
I love everybody :buddy:
Love you :3:
3/16ths of an inch 0.47625 cm [editline]17th November 2010[/editline] You're a fucking idiot not everything is a round number in the metric system.
He means that it's smarter to use a system that has a base of 10 instead of having some nonsense system.
Oh US, we're such rebels for rejecting a convenient measurement system, that'd really show Europe who's boss.
Oh US, we're such rebels for rejecting a convenient measurement system, that'd really show Europe who's boss.
And thats how we won WW2
If were talking about units of measurement, I can not stand people talking about amounts of liquid in quarts and pints, it makes absolutly no sense to me, I try to tell them, 1 Liter, 750ml, and their like "sooooooooooo, 7 pints?" >:(
I was brought up metrically (except stones :/), but it's kind of annoying because other people here weren't. Someone will say "oh he's 5 foot 11" or whatever and I'm like, oh, okay, uh. I've got slightly better over the years, I know 6 foot is a big-ass dude and 4-foot is a small-ass dude. But that's about it.
Stones is good because everyone's parents use it. Over here in the UK we're taught to use kilograms and meters, but myself and most of my school friends use yards, feet and inches, aswell as stones anyway because it's what our parents use.
no one I know under 40 uses feet and inches do you know why? because imperial is shit
his legs look normal
Oh US, we're such rebels for rejecting a convenient measurement system, that'd really show Europe who's boss.
despite the fact that the US uses it widely oh wait its not official so it's not in use at all, just like the officiality of the english language in US (hint: there is no official language) american here: i weigh 55kg and drive 130kmh on the highway quit being tools, it's used where it matters and they teach it in schools
Damn. I don't even go out enough for a Google Street View car to ever capture me. Mayby I should work on my mobile setup.
He lost about 100 pounds (to save you a google search)
Yay, let's convert from a stupid unit into another stupid unit.
We should do everything in metric Well, everything but measuring penises, that should be in inches.
no one I know under 40 uses feet and inches do you know why? because imperial is shit
dude imperial is the best system. it's not that hard to understand.
You Europeans made up the imperial system, we broke away from your country but kept the imperial system so it wasn't a complete middle finger
It's way easier to measure something in centrimetres than inches. 0.02 cms 0.00787401575 inches
0.02 inches 0.0508000001 centimeters Although I agree with your point, the way you proved it was flawed.
i hate the us way because they dont convert equally 1kg = 1000 grams 1 stone = 14 pounds wtf is that shit or 3280feet = 39370 inches
i hate the us way because they dont convert equally 1kg = 1000 grams 1 stone = 14 pounds wtf is that shit or 3280feet = 39370 inches
the US doesn't use stone
the US doesn't use stone
ok but still
i thought it meant kidney stone until i saw the measurement seven kidney stones sounds painful
Gabe Newell? Is that you? What has Google done to you?
uugh why don't you ugly, rotton-teethed, tea-sipping britfags just use pounds instead. waaay easier
It's a stone Luigi.
It depends what you've been grown up with, If someone says "he's 5 foot tall", I don't have a clue until I google it. "He's 1 meter 80" makes more sense to me since I never used imperial.
