It's amazing. For the last 100 years, US conservatives have successfully blocked all attempts at healthcare reform by calling it socialist. Seriously, what the fuck? Anyway, I won't be happy until we have free (AKA funded by massive taxes) government-controlled public healthcare in America.
If it's better than what the Republican can propose, or if it's 'free', it's Socialist.
get with the times america you fucking idiots
Obama will get what he wants, even if he has to terrorist fist jab everyone in Congress.
I don't know about you, but I pay enough taxes as it is. I guess when you're 15 and not paying any taxes you have a different angle on it.
Well I guess when you're 16 and have no morals or ethics you have a different angle on it.
I'd rather not have the government decide whats good for me and I don't want to pay for other peoples darn healthcare.
get with the times america you fucking idiots
 You're to funny. No seriously YOU are a hilarious person.
I'd rather not have the government decide whats good for me and I don't want to pay for other peoples stupid care. You're to funny.
What if you get very ill? Boo hoo you die.
Well I guess when you're 16 and have no morals or ethics you have a different angle on it.
If I want to pay for someone else's healthcare, I'll volunteer to do it. I don't want somebody else forcing me to do it.
What if you get very ill? Boo hoo you die.
:lol::lol: Let me just post this here.
don't give them healthcare then they will all die of fat and then there will be world piece.
Can someone please explain why people are so opposed to a National Health Service in the USA?
Can someone please explain why people are so opposed to a National Health Service in the USA?
*points to the place north of the American border...* Anymore questions?
Welcome to 1950.
I'd rather not have the government decide whats good for me and I don't want to pay for other peoples darn healthcare.
You're already paying for people's healthcare. The US spends more on healthcare per capita than most countries with some type of universal healthcare system. [editline]11:24AM[/editline]
*points to the place north of the American border...* Anymore questions?
Yes, I'm pretty sure we still all have the same questions. Canada has a better healthcare system than the United States does. The stories about wait times are propaganda by the health insurance company's lobbyists.
But we can't do that because if we have universal healthcare we'll become socialist and hitler will come back from the dead riding a communist t-rex and force pregnant women to get abortions we can't let this happen

I've met people FROM Canada who've come down to the US because they're delayed into oblivion and got tired of WAITING in the Canadian system and came down to the US to get it DONE so they can carry on with their lives without the hassle of their injuries. My older brother met a guy on his flight from the UK to here, this guy left the UK to get treatment for a knee surgery he had in the UK that went completely wrong. Got tired of waiting. That's the disaster with a Nationalized Health Care system. You get absolutely obscene delays and waiting periods for treatments you can get snippity snap here.

Congratz. And the Canadian I met had a broken arm and came here because she was on waiting periods of up to 3 to 4 months back in Canada and just got sick of waiting. And just for the record, my older brother is one of those liberal types. Like you. But not stupid.
He's just saying all you're providing is anecdotal evidence. You're not providing hard proof, just a story from personal experience and asking us to take your word that they're true. He didn't really "distort and misread" your post at all.

Here the government even pays like half of your treatment if you go to a private doctor and get it done there.

It does not matter if you met a Canadian with a broken arm, it doesn't matter if your brother is a liberal. I can spew shit too! I shattered my foot on a paving slab one day, and I didn't have to wait one day. And it didn't cost me an arm and a leg to pay for, because it was on the NHS.

[editline]11:13AM[/editline] Anyone who doesn't believe NHS is a good idea, you should look up why professional sports athletes in America only have a life expectancy of 56 years. Namely, most athletes only last a couple years before retiring, and upon retiring, their insurance goes away. And violent sports will really fuck a guy up, and most insurers will not cover these guys because they all have previous conditions of head trauma, torn ACLs, all sorts of stuff. They gotta pay outta their own pocket, and the retired players that don't get endorsement deals (like 98% of them) end up going bankrupt.

My Dad saw that, took me to the Doc he looked at it 4 days later he numbed up my feet and cut out the ingrown nail. 2 weeks later I no longer had that fucking infection in my toe which was caused by the ingrown nail. TL;DR in my case it got solved in 2 weeks and 4 days vs a 1 year and a bit.
US population: 304,059,724 Polish population: 38,482,919 Larger population, larger margin for error?
That doesn't make any sense at all Do you know what a margin for error is?
did your dad tell you how much that cost?
$270. To get that fixed and get on moving vs waiting a fucking year. I'd pay that.
$270. To get that fixed and get on moving vs waiting a fucking year. I'd pay that.
Right. So it cost you $270 to fix a problem with your toe. Say you'd shattered your foot like I had. Now, how much do you reckon that would cost.

Besides, if you had asked for them to cut the toenail, they probably would've done it. [editline]05:24PM[/editline]
$270.
