Facepunchers are a lot of things, but we aren't paedophiles.
With the exception of a few.
She was almost certainly pregnant when she was fifteen, so that's rape.
[editline]15th January 2012[/editline]
And prior to that it would have been solicitation of a minor.
Neither of which are kidnapping or abduction.

Ah, right. Sorry.
Sorry if asking this is a bit weird, but how exactly does a female rape another female? Doesn't rape need to involve sexual intercourse? I don't know much about this stuff
Admit it, you want to add it to your wank bank.
let's make light of rape guys

There are plenty of jokes about various tragedies and bad things that people tell each other all the time without giving it a second thought, why is the subject of rape so different?
I know jokes about specific incidents of rape are tasteless, but if you sort through all the countless jokes about murder, death, ect. rape is always the no-go area for some reason

You already said it, it's ones referring to specific cases, especially ones involving 11 year-olds.

It's difficult to deal with when you're talking about the rape of a child. If she was an adult, it still would've been tragic, and she probably would've needed help to get through it emotionally, but she'd still probably be able to get through it reasonably well, with little or maybe even no long term issues.
But with a child? It's much less likely. It's extremely probable that it'll cause long term emotional problems that won't go away. It's one of the most horrible things you can do, and to be honest, it seems to me like she should've gotten much more than four years.

-sorry I misread your reply ignore this-
I know, I was just talking about rape as a joke subject in general, not the incident this thread is about
judging by the fact that you would even think to joke about something like rape, I'm assuming that you're a privileged white male who hasn't had to deal with anything other than first-world problems
rape isn't funny. it never will be. don't joke about it
that's all you need to know

I've never made a joke about rape, i'm just thinking about why subjects like death and murder are ok in relation to comedy (well obviously not in all cases) while rape is considered the biggest taboo and is always a no-go area
my point is that waiting until whatever arbitrary age to teach children sex ed so you can feel good about yourself is harmful
children should be taught sex ed long before they start going through puberty
I'm in the 11th grade and have never been taught about condoms or sex, just about how people get a boner and how sex is bad and the risk of stds and abstinence

murder victims don't live to suffer the emotional and physical trauma
murder victims don't live to suffer the emotional and physical trauma
There are people who survive failed murder attempts. As well, the family and friends of the victim.
There are people who survive failed murder attempts. As well, the family and friends of the victim.
wow that's completely besides the point
and it's not as if murder is a thing you should joke about either
murder victims don't live to suffer the emotional and physical trauma
But the people around them, their friends and family are affected, so why is that so different from rape? Murder was just an example anyway, you hear jokes about other controversial subjects like war and poverty all the time
you can joke about anything
you can't joke with anyone
i love dark jokes, and rape jokes can be super fun, really
as long as you're not mocking someone in particular, it's ok, i wouldn't throw a rape joke to a rape victim, unless the person brings it first (some people do like to laugh about their own problems, must be super rare with rape but that's not the point)
Judging from how she would share the sexual videos between her and the man mentioned in the article with her 11-year-old daughter, I wouldn't be surprised if she shared the sexual videos between her and her daughter with the man.
Your profile picture made your post pretty weird.
when rape isn't full of sexual politics, wasn't so insanely fucking common and we live in a utopian society that isn't incredibly sexist, then you can joke about rape like you can natural disasters and murder
judging by the fact that you would even think to joke about something like rape, I'm assuming that you're a privileged white male who hasn't had to deal with anything other than first-world problems

I have to disagree, even though rape may not make for funny jokes for the most part, why should it be an exception? There are jokes about the holocaust which was far worse in reality than rape and there are jokes about other major tragedies which are worse than rape. I don't mean to offend rape victims because rape is horrible but I do not see why rape should be an exception. Comedy is comedy, as long as you get a laugh from even a single person, it qualifies as comedy.
the holocaust ended and society isn't as anti-semitic as it was
if there were ads for investment companies with
"I'm a Jew, so you know I'm good with money"
then it might be a bit different

I was referring to the holocaust itself, not jokes against Jewish people but I do agree with you since I personally cannot stand how upset Americans get over 9/11 whenever it is mentioned, not necessarily joked about. Also, when I was saying that rape jokes should not be an exception, I meant that rape as a whole, should not be an exception. Obviously you should not make a joke about a specific rape case just like you should not joke about other specific cases in crime.
Either you're allowed to joke about any given controversial topic or you're not allowed to joke about any controversial topic. These arbitrary lines of what is okay and what isn't is ridiculous. Not really defending the guy who made a joke about it, that's kind of a low blow but I have to admit I did chuckle a bit because it was very dark shock humor.

Jokes about rape can be funny, but jokes about a person in specific that was raped is wrong.
Does anyone know the link to this video? c:

I hate amateurish kinetic typography. I mean it's bad enough that they usually make it for something that doesn't lend itself to it at all, but can't they at least do something more interesting than the words spinning around and resizing?
If a photo of your kid in bath is considered CP, how do we know what rape means for kids?
