You need xbox live gold premium $$$ edition to watch this.
What's funny is that it's true.
I'm saying its fine.
Theres nothing wrong with falling skies. Its nothing special, but its a damn sight better than a lot of TV series.
good lord Falling Skies is terrible
that show had possibly the absolute worst pilot in television history
Seeing the war against the covenant from a marine perspective would be interesting. Of course the character development would be hard to pull off seeing as how the covenant eats normal humans for breakfeast.
Or they could do spartans because, well spartans are badass.
odsts, the best of both worlds
imagine a tv series similar in mood and pacing to halo: odst
shit man
Well.....If it turns out shit, we know that master chief should have used lube.
rip.

I don't know how I could forget about them. ODST's are definately the best choice for something like that.

I'd kill for anything ODST. It still remains to be my favorite Halo game.
I see this becoming a cheap to make sitcom about the hilarious character building misadventures of John "Master" Chief, his wife Ethel, their daughter Hilda and their rambunctious son Kevin. The primary focus is the hilarity that ensues at Johns job at a noodle stand at the mall. The Covenant and Spartans make an appearance too: The Spartans are the beloved local badminton team and The Covenant(team leader Josh "Brute" Needler) are their rivals! And Hilda may happen to have a crush on Josh!
All this while Kevin and his Saint Bernard named Warthog cause wholesome mischief and headaches for the Chief's elderly neighbor(who for some reason is Walter White from Breaking Bad).
...........Sorry, as someone who isn't a fan of neither Halo or potentially "Ground Breaking" new Science Fiction shows, I had to do that.
No Spartans pls
I don't think it will be good, putting Spielberg in charge wont make it a hit from the word go, and it will likely be rushed to be placed alongside the new Xbox to help as promotional material, I'll stick with my usual TV shows thanks.

Spielberg isn't in charge, in all actuality this is probably just a paycheck for him.
If the main focus is on Marines/ODST, then Spartans/Master Chief being in it will kinda ruin it. Yes, make references in the story to them, maybe have them involved in a few scenes, but not majorly. The perspective of a regular human fighting in a war amongst these genetically enhanced super-soldiers and aliens with mad technology would be much more interesting. We already know enough about the merking capabilities of Spartans from having played as one in the games
It's stupid that they never came out with one movie. I don't even like Halo anymore. It's a shame seeing a decade old series go from being great to something pretty bad. I really wanted a Fall of Reach film at least.
I feel the same way; when I was younger I loved Halo for its unique story. It's now turned into this horrible mess and I just can't see myself getting sucked back into that universe. The sad thing is that it has nothing to do with nostalgia-goggles because I still find myself enjoying Half-Life and other Valve titles even though they've aged a bit.
Did anyone actually like the change in the direction 343i made with Halo 4?
I'll never forgive 343i (and to an extent Saber) for what they did with Halo CE Anniversary.
They basically did their best to make the ring look like Requeim, Completely ditching Bungie's art style for the forerunner stuff on the ring and putting their own shitty spin on everything; Making Installation 04 look pretty retarded for lack of a better term.
(Blue neon light strips covering EVERY square inch of everything, saturating almost everything in a bright, deep blue color, turning the ring into a super alien neon glowing hula hoop)
It's funny too considering that when you look at the firefight map Certain Affinity made for that game and then compare it to the same area the map is based off of which 343i worked on for the campaign, you can tell that Certain Affinity tried to stay faithful to the original style and managed to nail everything.
When it's like 343i just went off on a tangent with their rendition and just didn't give a fuck.
Shame Certain Affinity didn't work on the main game too.
The worst part of Anniversary was when they made the swamp in 343 guilty spark look like fucking Pandora from Avatar.
I would pay so much for a Fall of Reach movie adaption. The movie would probably make me cry too
wow
I never expected to see two of "steven spielberg" "halo" and "tv series" in the same sentence let alone all three
