Guys wait, I'm sure there's a perfectly logical explanation for this. The Arabs didn't want their athletes to fight the Israelis because they wouldn't stop fighting each other until the heat death of the universe.
Also, you wouldn't want to prolong this Olympic shitshow any longer in Rio than it needs to be right? :v:
I do kinda feel for the athletes. I'm fairly certain it wouldn't have been their call and they'd have been ordered/told to stand down. After all of their preparation and effort they couldn't even compete.
Just look at the Egyptian who was getting a lot of abuse before the game for not withdrawing, looses and now is getting crap from all angles (some of it deservedly).
They should have just dropped out at the start if they were that anal about avoiding Israli athletes so they could at least avoid Zika virus too.
Israel is now the same as ISIS and Al-Qaeda. Cool.
The single most free state, for Jews and Muslims, in the entire Arab world is the same as literal theocracies who oppress women and minorities as a manner of law.
Please don't twist my analogy to be anti-semetic.
The way America views Al-Qaeda is comparable these people view Israel. That's what I'm saying.

You completely missed his point you dunce.
The arabs don't consider Israel to be a legitimate country and they dont want to do anything to validate it as one. This could be compared to a hypothetical situation where a middle eastern state is created by Al Queso or ISIS and the US refusing to play against them.
the olympics have a history of being affected by politics
I find it hard to take the olympics seriously at all due to the amount of political shit flinging that's always surrounded it.
That and the rampant corruption.

Sure, I mean, it's clear that many Arab nations, along with the people living in those nations, hate Israel and the Jews who live there. I haven't seen a single person disagree with that.
Their feelings toward Israel are not similar to something like the US's feelings toward ISIS because one is based on real horrific actions done by the other nation and the other is based on racial and religious hatred spurned forward by propaganda.

It's only comparable in the most technical and meaningless way. Even after a tiny bit of real consideration the similarity vanishes completely.
