We don't need people like that in this country, glad she's gone!
This is just unreal
Unreal to the point where I think we're missing about half the story
not every story has a missing half
just because it seems surreal doesn't mean it's falsified
What the hell is their history together?
Were they married once or what? I feel like i missed something completely
As a result of her lies, Mr Parnell was arrested four times, charged with common assault and wrongly spent a total of 30 hours in a police cell before police found evidence which backed up his denials.
Why would you even do this?
but has been banned from entering Greater Manchester

Well, they're not missing anything apart from hooliganism and knife crime.
The court was told Thomas and the victim used to be friends but had fallen out in June when she was arrested and cautioned for damaging plant pots outside Mr Parnell’s home.

It's in the article.

Last few times Daily Mail has had a story about some evil vindictive woman it was missing about half the story so
How soon we're all willing to trust that shithole of a publication when it's something that fits our narrative eh
" I will say he raped me"
I choked on my water
ahahahaha, what a pathetic excuse for a human being.
This bitch is probably psychotic enough to try and tunnel her way back into the county and continue. Why didn't they throw her in prison?
Honestly this woman should probably be institutionalized rather than just jailed, she sounds like she needs mental help, big time.

Oh and even more curious, going by searches on Google News for both David Parnell and Melissa Thomas, the Daily Mail is the only outlet reporting on this
They shes 21?
She looks like she is in her late 40's
Most Englishwomen do.

b-b-but Facepunch hates sensationalism! They say so all the time!

Daily Mail is unreliable until it's about a woman making false rape reports in which case it's basically Walter Cronkite
Hell, this whole thing might be 100% true and not sensationalized at all but anything being solely reported on by the Daily Mail deserves a huge portion of skepticism
She escaped jail because she had a 'tough childhood'? Lets have a look here;
She breached the restraining order, made a fake account on Facebook to pretend he was harassing her, caused him to be falsely arrested four times and spent time in jail, threatened to falsify a rape charge, assaulted his property, harassed him with false claims like he was abusing a dog to the RSPCA, sending large food deliveries to his house, telling the police he had illegal weapons in his home, told the police he murdered a man, threatened to kill a innocent disabled man, attempted murder with a knife while intoxicated, harassed him for roughly a year, falsely claimed that he had breached his bail conditions by contacting her, hurling abuse yards from his front door.
And why? Because he and her used to be friends until they had a falling out, this woman is mentally deranged and should of been locked up, but instead she's just been given a suspended sentence and banned from the county for 12 months. She is a morally bankrupt devious being. Her tough childhood has nothing to do with the things she had done to this man, it is merely a sympathetic excuse to be let off.
What does he end up getting? He is now suicidal, too traumatized to go outside, suffering panic attacks and is now paranoid about her claims she would come back to murder him when her ban is up.
I think all of those here who have suffered from abuse can empathize with him. Even if you get away and are safe, if an abuser is likely still finding new victims, then it's never over for you.
what a cunt

Lifelong courses of powerful anti psychotics were made for people like this. It's still not as good as prison, but even such a person is just a few missed doses away from being dangerous again, it's still something.
Well, those or progesterone for sex offenders (high doses work for women too)

Sometimes you even get a halfhearted, admitting no wrong doing, apology out of the blue a year later.

You may have a point. I would at least like to see a secondary source.
Maybe she secretly likes him.
Just to play devil's abracadabra, is it possible this is enough of a local issue that it wouldn't be widely reported? I am unfamiliar with how quickly stories spread over there so please correct me if i'm wrong.
The Daily Mail is still, however, a pathetic excuse for a rag and I wouldn't use it to wipe my ass.
They look like brother and sister. Same face characteristics.

Not really local enough to be ignored.

Atleast the judge apparently has some sense?
Her lawyer Martin Callery said: 'Melissa Thomas in her formative years endured a very tough time and it is very much to her credit that she managed to obtain a place at university.'
But Judge Robert Atherton said: 'This behaviour is not going to be tolerated whatever your background. Other people are entitled to lead their lives. This man no longer sleeps at night.'

bitch looks pretty downsy herself
Man, people are Assholes

It was briefly mentioned that they used to be friends and they had a falling out when she damaged his potted plants
"Sounds like something that would happen in manc- oh.."
