I just want Company of Heroes scale and gameplay. Much larger army size, basic base building, lots of room for strategy and tactics, not one or the other, and the best cover system, not DoW1's almost non existent system, and not 2's where pretty much all cover is gone within a minute of the game starting.

I want to build armies once again, not little RPG squads.
Same here. It's pretty satisfying to build a base.
C O M E O N R E L I C
it's gotta be DoW3
if it's DLC, I swear to god I'm going to tweet angry words at Relic.
i will tweet "how could you do this to me" at them with such fury that people will be confused and bemused
I hope it's not full of nickel and dime microtransaction bullshit like CoH 2 is. That's my biggest concern.

tbh even in dow1 you had bullshit
remember when you had to buy a certain version to play certain races in multiplayer? If you wanted to play SM you needed the original game. If you wanted to play IG you needed Winter Assault. Even if you could play every race in singleplayer.
Of course there was a hack/trainer that unlocked every one but hey.

That's nothing compared to their shitty-ass commander system in CoH2 and the fact that they even broke up a piece of a paid campaign as separe DLC.
Half of the units in the game are locked behind small payments of 5 dollars that are released deliberately overpowered and nerfed a few months later, it's fucking despicable.
ok so initial thoughts
that's the most Giger depiction of Eldar wraithbone i've seen
looted Emperor
those are some thin Space Marines

Except it's not, unless you can tell me which paid commanders are OP. One of the most popular commanders for Wehrmacht in competitive is a free one and every faction has at least one high level viable commander
Nice
believe those were knights, but hell if I know
that they were, and the Eldar ones were Wraithknights, but they count as far as i care

wish there was gameplay though

Same here. Seems to imply three starting factions, tho, unless they're gonna announce Chaos later.
If there's knights, that probably means the game has a larger scale than normal.
Those space marines were far too thin though.

Eh I would bank on 4 at least.
DoW2 had SM, Eldar, Orkz and Nids.
Holy shit please don't be another squad based borderline-ARPG with linear maps.
Please.
Everything about the space marines seemed anemic.
Orks are tough, but not "casually disassemble space marine armor" tough.
Bolters were once again made puny and weak.
And of course their appearance and general lack of any sort of weight to their armor.
Also I'm pretty sure the space marines operate like the guard: officers have refractor fields to replace their head armor. They aren't simply exposed.

Not really
Dow1 had baneblades, bloodthirster, squiggoth, wraiths, etc
Yeah that trailer really wasn't that good since space Marines were btfo too easy but so long as the gameplay is good who cares

Even if you're arguing that paid commanders aren't OP(which they are, at least for a time), the main problem is that each army has a really basic unit composition that gets boring pretty fast unless you buy more commanders to spice things up.

Ah, the good ol' dodging the question. Confirmed you don't know shit.

Needlessly hostile. Dial it back.
With the amount of units on screen in that picture I'm assuming they're going back to the Dawn of War 1 style of base building?
I'm excited.

Read my first post again, i did say "deliberately overpowered and nerfed a few months later". The last patch had a bunch of nerfs to paid commanders, a few months after they were introduced. That's how they sell these things.
It's exploitative as fuck and it's the reason i can't convince any of my CoH veteran friends to play the game, i hope they don't pull that shit in DoW3.
