Wonder if they can eventually learn how to steal files like pics/music/etc... Imagine the shit tons of self-taken pics of girls being slutty.

Lol. I love annoying people at bus stops with the BlueTooth on my PDA phone. Default 0000 password is fun .
Aw fuck, I just got service for my N900 :derp:
All they'll get is calls to my mum asking her to pick me up from work or an after school club [editline]1st January 2011[/editline] :smithicide:
GSM never had any actual proper security, it's all just security through obscurity and shitty encryption.
I don't have a cell phone.
How is this funny? Some people just don't want mobile phones.
How is this funny? Some people just don't want mobile phones.
Statistically, he's lying.
I thought GSM was cracked a while ago? Even so, I don't think the recent development has much to do with UMTS, as it's built upon GSM, but is more secure. Anyway, CDMA(1) and CDMA2000 isn't any more secure than GSM.
Wait what?
Chaos Computer Club Congress (CCC)
Shouldn't it be four 'C's?
The likelihood of someone doing this to you is slim to none. It's proof of concept.
Nope, because they released/plan to release everything they used for it and the devices for this do not cost $5000 anymore but $15. Every script-kiddy can afford this now. The "attacks" will sooner or later grow until it will be a threat to the GSM standard so GSM vanishes.
Was really disappointed that I got a CDMA phone after Telus upgraded to GSM. No so disappointed anymore.

Thank God for Verizon and their CDMA phones.
Was really disappointed that I got a CDMA phone after Telus upgraded to GSM. No so disappointed anymore.
GSM is a lot better than CDMA other than the security though. And it's not like anyone's going to actually do this to you or care about your mundane life.
Lol, my phone has been off for a month.
I thought GSM was cracked a while ago?
yes, but not with a $15 phone.
