Iraqi soldiers found several ISIS-related mobile phones, one in the dead body of a prominent leader, carrying messages from Turkish intelligence agencies
Interview of Karim Al-Nouri by RT; Al-Nouri is an Iraqi army spokesman who claims that Iraqi forces have recovered evidence confirming Turkish national agencies' involvement in the IS turmoil. Quick transcript for those who can't watch the video at once:
“We've found several mobile phones recently. They contained messages with coordinates of the movement of fighters. The problem of ISIS didn't just appear out of the blue; someone is allowing them to freely cross borders. They use airports and hospitals. Where did they get treatment? In Turkish hospitals. ISIS fighters come from Chechnya and Uzbekistan via Turkey. We have plenty of documents proving that Turkey is providing logistic support for them. The terrorists are even going back to their home country via Turkey. Those fighters who come to Turkey wouldn't be able to orientate themselves without local guides. They are taking the militants to the border: they are working in coordination with the Turkish intelligence services; this is crystal clear to us now. Turkey and the gulf countries have been supporting these terrorists in Syria to get rid of Assad. Those forces have also moved to Iraq and continue to be supported”
source: Russia Today - Wiretapped calls reveal communication between Turkish officers and ISIS – report https://www.rt.com/news/327024-wiretapped-calls-turkish-officers/
the plot thickens
Turkey labeled as state sponsor of terrorism when?
Whoops, missed the text article on the way there. I'll add that to the OP.
While Turkey are scumbags, I don't trust anything said by RT about a NATO nation, let alone anything uttered by RT about Turkey.
This is just slander without any good details this also gives me the idea that maybe Iraqi officials support Isis this is like saying they found information linked back to the US or UK
Give us a source other than RT. Until then, this is nothing more than Russian bullshit as part of an attempt to fracture our glorious Alliance.
I wouldn't be surprised if this is true
I wouldn't at all be surprised if this is true, but this is Russia Today reporting this. Their about as reputable as the North Korean state news agencies.
any non-RT source on this? i'm pretty skeptical of a news agency that has been saying turkey was defending terrorism by shooting down russia's jets
Even though i don't trust Russia Today as a source, i fully believe and have for a while that Turkey is supporting ISIS by either turning a blind eye, or possibly more than that, such as logistic support as RT accuses. As far as i'm concerned, Turkey is a piece of absolute shit. Their "bombing campaign" against ISIS has been 90%+ targeting Kurdish fighters in Syria.
Oh man if Turkey gets caught supporting ISIS, grabbing the popcorn...
Looks like someone won't be getting into the EU anytime soon.
sucks if true if true
Looks like someone won't be getting into the EU anytime soon.
They are never getting in regardless. Refusal to acknowledge the Armenia genocide, increasingly authoritarian rule, and invasion of a European state and the subsequent propping up of an unrecognized breakaway nation.
Those Kurdish fighters are also terrorist like many other groups in Syria and Iraq and some of them are with Isis
Yeah man, it's a much better idea to bomb the guys fighting the extremist terrorist group instead of the terrorists themselves. Much better just to buy all their oil for massive profit while making a few token airstrikes now and again. [editline]25th December 2015[/editline] Kurds aren't terrorists and if you think they are the problem, then you are the problem.

Who would have thought :downs:
At this point NATO should not only kick Turkey, but wage war with them as well. This is outrageous.
At this point NATO should not only kick Turkey, but wage war with them as well. This is outrageous.
Turkey has no business being in NATO in the first place. as per the whole basis of NATO's existence. It's mean to be "an exclusive freezing people's military gentlemen's country-club." They are not freezing and most of the time, they aren't being gentlemen.
Declare war on Turkey when? No seriously. If we're at war with ISIS, we're at war with Turkey. And this has been so obvious for so long anyway, and because it's RT everybody including western governments will still be sceptical. Ugh
Seems like a counter piece as CNN says Russia shares intelligence with the Taliban. (can't check the dates on who posted first)
We all know what Turkey is doing.... It's not relevant to the CNN report either. Fuck the Taliban right now too, they hate ISIS and it's lmao that CNN calls out Russia for supporting the Taliban. Hypocrite of the fucking year award goes to? Russia is doing us all a favour and saying to us "look, Turkey is fucking you over behind your back and you can't see it" N: You must present us proof R: *Presents satellite imaging of oil smuggling routes* N: Actually, you're Russian so we don't trust you R: *Presents wiretapped evidence* N: I already told you we hate communism! Now go away we can't hear you LALALALALA It's Turkey who shot Russians down, do we really hate Russia so much that we would stand with Turkey during this and allow Erdogan to continue supporting the slaughter of our people?
Russia lies all day every day. Look at the entire deal with Ukraine. The US has trouble lying so much because we are little more than a corporate conglomerate at this point. They can't get together and get their story straight. Russia, however, has old school propaganda going on with RT. Basically nothing they say can be trusted.
Wait for a better source. It could be extremely biased.
Cypher are you a troll because you seem oblivious to the fact that its not just turkey but other NATO members who partake in operations behind the curtain...you just don't get it do you
look who leads Turkey, an absolute piece of shit who if he could, would wind the clock back to the fucking middle ages
Finally people are realizing who turkey is.
Why don't you go over there and see if they don't cut off your head not only that but the attacks on their own population for human shields along actions and networks in turkey and other nations in europe [editline]25th December 2015[/editline] I've been on here for a while to know that you think that Kurdish militant groups are good because you see a picture of a pretty girl with ak47 who's about to die
Nah mate, I believe in not uselessly repressing a people and denying them their own right to self determination because of some stupid fucking racist shit that your government won't fucking quit. For fucks sake, you imprisoned a Kurdish politician for giving a message of fucking PEACE in Kurdish. [editline]26th December 2015[/editline] Also pretty funny that you assume that the YPG would cut my head off while they've got foreign fighters working with them against ISIS. Nice one though. If you can find me any single shred of evidence i'd be glad to hear it.
Kurds aren't terrorists and if you think they are the problem, then you are the problem.
You're blind to think everything is black and white in the world. Some Kurds are terrorists. Most are not terrorists. They are not a homogeneous group, just like every other people, nation or culture on this planet.
