Or you realize the AA-12 is nothing more than practically a Saiga 12 that's really really heavy and shitty
That and shotguns have little practical use in modern combat beyond breaching or room clearing.
...Breaching and room clearing. Welcome to precisely what we've been doing for the past half a decade.
25mm? That wouldn't be on the same power level as a 25mm from a Bradley would it.. I guess not, even 40mm HE's fired from a M203 look weak as shit whereas a Bradley's 25mm just.. fucking downs buildings
You do know its how the charge is made right?
We kinda do have exosuits.
Do we have THESE exo-suits?

If not I'm not interested.
itt people who complain about "wasting taxpayer's money" when the government spends any money on anything jerking off over this new weapon
Didn't the military consider doing the same thing with the same weapon in the 90s?
I wonder when this gun appears in a modern warfare game
Dlc.
More useless devices to kill other humans in pointless wars
oh joy...

You do know that those are just armored suits with hydraulics exoskeletons on them right?
What is this stupid Sci-Fi obsession with Exo-Suits?
What is this stupid Sci-Fi obsession with Exo-Suits?
war fetishization
usa even has money to spend?
lol isn't their debt going to be past their GDP by the end of this decade?
It looks like a lot more weight to carry around compared to an m203
Surprisingly, this does have many applications for urban warfare, and may not actually be a complete waste of money. Its excellent for taking out snipers or enemy personnel in windows and rooms, common in urban combat.
Need this for Modern Warfare 3
We already have the legs and autotargeting guns, it's just a matter of supergluing them on top of each other.
They kinda have exoskeletons.
That's a bomb suit
Looks like an exaust pipe of a car attached to a gun.
Awesome.
It looks like a lot more weight to carry around compared to an m203
yeah but this kills far more BPPM (brown-people-per-minute) so it's overall superior to the m203
Why is it so clunky in large? Does it have to look stupid like that?
Do you think your average insurgent pickup truck or sedan will be able to withstand more than 1 40mm grenade? I don't think so.
Besides, I'm more comparing this new launcher with the MGL. I think the MGL could do the same job, but for much cheaper.
by your logic we might as well use pistols instead of rifles because they can do the same job.
Why is it so clunky in large? Does it have to look stupid like that?
It has to hold a bunch of 25mm grenades and have a mechanism to fire said grenades, it also has to hold the computer, obviously it's gonna be big.
I don't think arguing over which killing device is better is in anyway productive.
So fun! Can't wait for Army surplus!
New year 2012 is gonna be hella more fun :v:
I think this grenade launcher is very different because it has a timed fuse for its shells
If they know the distance of a house they shoot the grenade into the window and the fuse is set just right so it explodes at a range that puts it inside the house.
Or if they need to shoot around a corner 100m away they can set the grenade to go off at about 100m and it will explode in midair and throw the shrapnel and all that good junk at them.

neither is ur trolling lmao
I just wish it shot chainsaws :frown:
neither is ur trolling lmao
oh dear, you're right. Protesting the use of tax money to build weapons that kill people is totally a crazy idea and must be trolling
you're an absolute idiot.
sup OICW - Assault rifle
It has to hold a bunch of 25mm grenades and have a mechanism to fire said grenades, it also has to hold the computer, obviously it's gonna be big.
Yeah but why does it have to look like a Starship Troopers gun? They're trying too hard.

Four is 'a bunch'
...Breaching and room clearing. Welcome to precisely what we've been doing for the past half a decade.
It still doesn't hold much advantage beyond a rifle at that in room clearing either. Not to mention they're more versatile in range; you can blow the lock or hinges off with a compact shotgun loaded with breaching cartridges, sling it away, then use a carbine for room clearing and then use it for wiping out targets 300 meters away.

...Do you even have a clue how fucking jaw-dropping amazing and innovative they are? Not necessarily for military applications, but for every day utilitarian use or helping the crippled.

hurr durr interest in military technology = war fetishism
"fetishization" isn't a word by the way
