TPing/Egging/paintballing/whatever is never a prank. If you do dumb shit like this, be prepared for anything because stuff like what happened to this girl will eventually happen, and much more likely if you live in a seedy area.
Maybe we should do something about the gun nuts who can't wait to shoot something.
Police arent always enough. Police cant always be where they are needed, when they are needed
"As they were leaving, a man came out of the house and opened fire." him shooting them did nothing to stop the current vandalism there is no fucking way any of you should be justifying this
"As they were leaving, a man came out of the house and opened fire." him shooting them did nothing to stop the current vandalism there is no fucking way any of you should be justifying this
Thats why i didnt try to defend it, nor did i state my opinion on the article itself
You have any idea how hard it is to get streams of paper out of trees and shrubs? especially if the stuff gets wet, you aren't ever getting it out, it's going to be up there for months. TPing/Egging/paintballing/whatever is never a prank. If you do dumb shit like this, be prepared for anything because stuff like what happened to this girl will eventually happen, and much more likely if you live in a seedy area. If you want to scare a group of hooligans off with a gun (not that I recommend it), make sure the damn thing isn't loaded when you're waving it around. And if you must fire it, make sure it only has blanks and fire it at the ground or in the air where it isn't pointed at anyone christ. Don't point a gun at anything you aren't willing to destroy.
Or use some common sense and learn to not go and fucking bring out a gun when some dumb kids throw eggs and toilet paper at a car
Fuck no not even a warning shot. You fire it straight up in the air and it might come back down and kill a person who wasn't even remotely involved..
I'm fairly certain that when a bullet comes back down it's no longer lethal. But I'm no professional gun owner.
let it be a lesson, bit of overreacting of course, if guy gets sent to jail, I hope those dumb teenagers also get charged with vandalism at least.
hell fucking no shooting someone is not an acceptable response to being tp'd they were already leaving, so it wasn't with intent to scare off
I never said it was acceptable, I just said prepare for anything, because anything can happen. The consequences for doing dumb things isn't always going to be a slap on the wrist.
Maybe we should do something about the gun nuts who can't wait to shoot something.
You can't solely place the blame on the guy that came out of his house and shot at them. The situation would have never happened if the teenagers weren't doing something so stupid in the first place. It's not like the guy was actively going around the neighborhood and hunting them down. While gun safety was a big issue here, so was bad parenting that people let their kids do and get away with stuff like this.
Or use some common sense and learn to not go and fucking bring out a gun when some dumb kids throw eggs and toilet paper at a car
Raw eggs can do thousands of dollars in damage to a car. Your average person is going to be pretty pissed off when some punks cause thousands in damage to their property, you never know exactly how someone will react to that
I'm fairly certain that when a bullet comes back down it's no longer lethal. But I'm no professional gun owner.
only if shot exactly straight up if shot at anything exactly straight up, it'll keep a ballistic trajectory and do some damage
let it be a lesson, bit of overreacting of course, if guy gets sent to jail, I hope those dumb teenagers also get charged with vandalism at least.
I think they've suffered enough. What would charging them with vandalism do now?
It was stupid of them to cause property damage like they did. It was even dumber of the man to open fire on the children. My question is: What will the surviving children be charged with?
Nothing, because they're now the surviving intended victims of a homicide. It would be cruel and unusual punishment to charge them with anything considering the severe mental damage this man has done to them.
only if shot exactly straight up if shot at anything exactly straight up, it'll keep a ballistic trajectory and do some damage
Yeah, that makes sense. But I still think a warning shot would have been at least better.
I think they've suffered enough. What would charging them with vandalism do now?
Perhaps that the law affects everybody? no matter which side has done/broken law more, it doesn't take off responsibility of the other side too.
so wait you've just said that you literally have to be prepared for getting fuckin shot in the head and killed if you mess up someone's shrubberies in a mildly more annoying way than usual and your first thought upon making this realization was to go off on a tangent about how freaking annoying eggshells are to clean up off your drive way top fuckin notch
People get stabbed and shot over disagreements over trivial things every day and you're criticizing me for saying be prepared for anything when vandalizing someone else's property? Instant genius.
i love how fp always hates victim blaming but when it involves "meh gun rights" the gun owner is always in the right
I find it quite ironic how out of touch with the world you are.
Nothing, because they're now the surviving intended victims of a homicide. It would be cruel and unusual punishment to charge them with anything considering the severe mental damage this man has done to them.
So if I rob a house and the owner decides to shoot at me or kills my robber buddy from down the street I should just get a get-out-of-jail free card?
People get stabbed and shot over disagreements over trivial things every day and you're criticizing me for saying be prepared for anything when vandalizing someone else's property?
so wait you've just said that you literally have to be prepared for getting fuckin shot in the head and killed if you mess up someone's shrubberies in a mildly more annoying way than usual and your first thought upon making this realization was to go off on a tangent about how freaking annoying eggshells are to clean up off your drive way top fuckin notch [editline]18th February[/editline] this is a place where there is reasonable doubt that throwing egg shells at someone's house won't result in you being shot and killed. seriously consider this.
eggs fuck up car paint, car paint is cheap, car painting job is fucking expensive. And yeah if you do stupid shit, you must be ready/expect stupid response from somebody. Obviously when you do something retarded - somebody wont like it, and you can never know their mental condition, it could be either ignoring and going along with it or maybe it was last drop and just snapping going and turning into serial killer, I mean shit happens.
might i fucking remind you he made the conscious decision after the teenagers were running going "he he" to open fire at their backs
And people make the conscious decision to stab someone else because they're in disagreement. It doesn't have to make sense.
ok so he went outside after those kids now guess what, if you cleaned off the eggs instead of shooting people in the back, you wouldn't have to worry about repainting the car!
we don't know the backstory of all this, maybe that guys car/house was egged for past few months, and this time he just snapped. Anyways I hope this case makes parents talk to their retarded children who do shit like this.
Wow. Kids are throwing toilet paper at my trees. Better headshot 'em.
Egging is vandalism, and so is putting mayonnaise on a car. Both of them can eat the paint of a car away. In some states you can defend your property with lethal force if it's a certain type of crime. In Arkansas it's Arson and Burglary I believe, but not vandalism, and only within your home or its premises
They were already fleeing though, they ceased being a danger.
Which shows they know what they were about to do can lead them to danger. Which I don't think can be excused as "teenagers being teenagers" or "kids being kids"

If you shit all over a man's property that took hard work and sweat to take care of, he's going to go ballistic, and this just happens to be one of those moments that turned deadly. The damn parents definitely did not do their job in teaching them respect and responsibility of their actions.
