which is stupid, electronic cigarettes are less dangerous because it's vapour and not smoke, not to mention there are far fewer chemicals.
why would you treat them the same?
Because you're still smoking nicotine based products in a public environment.
Cigarette smoke is nauseating for me.
It also lingers on the person who smoked, and in the room where the person smoked in. It's super fucking disgusting, and I have no idea why kids keep starting with it.
I really wish everyone would just stop, but I know that's never going to happen
Sucks to be so susceptible to the smell of it

This is completely true. I manage finances for someone who eats out every single meal. Never goes to buy groceries and is the cheapest person I know. It's not that he isn't able to cook, because he can cook. He can't even pay his mortgage, he's a farmer and makes $1.2K a week, because every cent of that $1.2k goes to eating out at restaurants and fast food.
Please do this so I can start smuggling cigarettes from Estonia to make some money while bolstering the inevitable black market.
Duke University actually compiled a study that showed that smoking tobacco in small amounts can help people with learning and focus disabilities. It also is a natural anti-depressant, can help people which suffer from epilepsy in the frontal lobe, aids people with certain mental disorders by easing their nerves.
Saying a substance that's highly addictive has no benefits what-so-ever would be to deny why the substance is addictive in the first place.
That's interesting. I know a few people (non smokers so no tolerance) who used nicotine lozenges and gum to focus for long study sessions. Not sure if it actually helped or not but they didn't get addicted despite using every day for a whole term or two of uni. I tried a few times and found it comparable to the stimulation acquired through coffee usage.

Why not make the cigars extremely toxic and vile instead and anyone insane enough to smoke gets all kinds of bad shit.

That's the stupidest fucking thing anyone could do. "Yeah lets make our tobacco even more poisonous so even more people die".
So dumb.

guess whats happening
the only way they'd be more toxic if a midget with a gun popped out and said "Ok lets hurry it up" and shot you in the head
I have a bold new concept... It's called let people do whatever drug they want. Their own body, their own decisions, is that such a radical idea? Banning something for sale that can be grown and consumed is a stupid idea. You're never going to stop people from smoking cigs, or anything else for that matter. Just leave smokers alone, let them choose their own fate.
how is this a good thing
facepunch is all like oh man we should legalize drugs so there isnt a black market for them then an article says something about the banning of tobacco and you guys go apeshit with winners
hypocritical
what are you implying with this? the carcinogens are what's detrimental to health
unless you're suggesting that consuming nicotine publicly should be some kind of taboo
