BTW article is still bullshit. Maybe you should research the guy and the information before you blindly support something on the internet. I can dress up a shit in a labcoat and glasses but it is still shit
Mmm, okay, maybe you should be the one doing the "research" to support your vague and unsubstantiated claims that this scientist is some kind of charlatan?
No, you do it instead because you are the one trying to convince everybody that your opinion is right, aren't you?

oh lookie there, you called the argument done with no proof and now i'm supposed to believe you

wow, did you just describe yourself?
So you think that putting up fans will make the sun go away?
So you think that putting up fans will make the sun go away?
good fucking god
no where in the report does it say anything about the sun going away. What it says is that energy from the sun that reaches us will be lessened. Why is that? Expansive use of wind farms changes wind patterns and adds in huge amounts of friction, friction, a key player of thermodynamics, changes the global entropy. The cloud cover helps keep sunlight out. The change in air pressure changes entropy.
fuck sakes. you could try reading, or you could try giving your own argument you fuck.
[editline]9th April 2011[/editline]
give me one reason to believe you, give me one drop of evidence you know what you're talking about more than this guy. because, from where i'm standing, your hand is half way up your ass scrambling to grab onto something, so keep flinging shit bud, it's all you've done so far.
here it is
Although the winds will not die, sucking that much energy out of the atmosphere in Kleidon's model changed precipitation, turbulence and the amount of solar radiation reaching the Earth's surface.
explain how he has any evidence that an increase in global entropy will make more clouds

You could try not believing everything on the internet

right, because I believe this because it's on the internet, not for any reasons otherwise.
and the amount of solar radiation reaching the Earth's surface
yeah, do you really not know what that means?
[editline]9th April 2011[/editline]
why the fuck am I arguing with you? you're more than likely a troll or just the worst poster of the year
You can't change the fact that windmills don't blow away photons
You can't change the fact that windmills don't blow away photons
wow you must be a troll because no one can be this fucking stupid
Stop being so overzealous and learn to have doubts because the article has no scientific base. Like the free energy equation on the other page proved it is bullshit.
sucking that much energy out of the atmosphere

the amount of solar radiation reaching the Earth's surface.
You do realize that solar radiation hitting the Earth's surface does not mean just shining light straight down on us, right? It diffuses through the atmosphere.
Stop being so overzealous and learn to have doubts because the article has no scientific base. Like the free energy equation on the other page proved it is bullshit.
Yeah, no. That didn't prove it was bullshit at all.
[editline]9th April 2011[/editline]
And the Gibbs free energy equation only works when the system is closed, which it isn't (the Earth's receiving radiation from the Sun).
That's Helmholtz free energy.

Protip: In the future, don't PM mods telling them you are trolling.
Build more nuclear reactors in geologically stable locations. I'll live next to one if no one else will, fuck you guys. They're the safest non-polluting energy technology of all time.
It is a theory, there is no denying that, even gravity is a theory.
Next time you find yourself spraying an aerosol can, try spraying it until it gets freezing cold in your hand.
Physical proof that if you take energy out of a system there's less for the system to use.
Nuclear Power prevails, as usual.

I'm pretty sure that has to do with expansion of gases.
So you think that putting up fans will make the sun go away?
Wow, can you even read.
The sun creates a constant amount of energy which makes the wind blow. The sun isn't going to give us more energy if we fuck up the wind we have.
Sorry but we do have infinite amount of wind and water, we could use those to make power but though the power that it produces is not enough. I recommend nuclear power plants so that we can get more electricity produced and fortified them with anti-disasters from 8.0 earthquakes to prevent another japan incident in our country. Sorry is this upset the green peace and/or the environmentalist, but we need the power, your methods are not really helping the whole of America, especially at this time when we have hardly no money.
This guy is stupid, I mean look at this
It was moderately believable until this point, but then I read that. Are you fucking joking?
You are literally retarded.
What the fuck do you think sunlight is, infact what the fuck do you think light is?
[editline]10th April 2011[/editline]
I read the article and I still see no reason that fans can make the earth receive less energy.
The earth recieves the same amount of energy, so sayeth the article too, but the free energy that arrives in the earths boundaries is reduced, and altered.
Put a wall in front of a jetstream, watch havoc unfold across the earth, same idea with weaker winds if done on a large enough scale, the mills will effectively act as dams, leeching energy off the wind to spin the blades making the winds weaker as they travel, meaning at some point the winds die off early.

An increase in entropy means an increase in disorder (in a chemical sense)
MEANING
More water vapour, which means more clouds.
OHHHHHHHH!!! WATCHA GON DO NOW HOMES!?!?!
Your dam analogy was good.
He gon stay banned, holmes.
Nuclear power makes the most sense. We learnt to exploit Earth's resources through combustion, no point stepping backwards and exploiting wave and wind and light, that's just dumb. We need to ramp it up, we need rip our resources apart then squish them back together again.
I'm pretty sure that has to do with expansion of gases.
Yeah. As the gases expand, work is being done on the system. To compensate for this work the gases need to take energy from somewhere, and they get it from the thermal energy stored in the metal of the canister.
And just as you said right here,
Wow, can you even read.
The sun creates a constant amount of energy which makes the wind blow. The sun isn't going to give us more energy if we fuck up the wind we have.
This is absolutely right. We can put up as many wind farms as we want. The wind won't stop and the sun will still continue to aid in producing winds. But we'll be consuming most of that wind energy which we're trying to produce. Soon, we'll hit a threshold where we're consuming more than we can make just like with fossil fuels.
Nuclear power + Fusion = Future power.
Wasn't there an article about some guys in Italy achieving (cold) fusion a while back?
Actually.. it might as well be renewable.
Hell I mean, we don't necessarily have to clutter up our planet with big ass windmills, but to control.. it.. all.
Waves are caused by the Moon's gravitational well. We cant run out of gravity.
Waves are caused by the Moon's gravitational well. We cant run out of gravity.
That's the tides. Try again.
That's the tides. Try again.
No because the tide goes in and the tide goes out and we can't explain it
Waves are caused by the Moon's gravitational well. We cant run out of gravity.
It isn't a matter of we'll run out of what's causing it. It's a matter of using so much we can't harness any more of it.
Build more nuclear reactors in geologically stable locations. I'll live next to one if no one else will, fuck you guys. They're the safest non-polluting energy technology of all time.
worst argument

agreed; what the fuck is this "thermodynamics" shit, anyway, never heard of it before
this once again proves that scientists horribly fail at common sense (i mean just look at motherfucking quantum mechanics, total bullshit) and instead try and confuse the common man into funding their research and jobs
