EA Access does not represent the value that Sony customers have come to expect.
They should call Mojang. They could donate Sony the 2.12 billion, and then still have 380 million to live off HOLY SHIT why did Microsoft buy them for such a fucking shitload of money.
It was obviously hyperbole
The phone market isn't like what it was 5-10 years ago with a handful, if not dozen, carriers/manufacturers. It's alot more bipolar with Apple and Samsung being the big leagues, alot of other manufacturers have just fallen off the wagon due to lack of carrier support or simply not keeping up.
Thats a shame, the new Xperia Z3 series are really good phones. I'd definitely try the Xperia Z3 if I was to go on Android
Doesn't that happen every time they release a new console, then like what... after a year or two, they break even. I'm pretty sure they'll do better than any of their competitors
Why does it feels like they got the bar set too high?
The only smartphone I've ever had is a Sony Xperia Z1. The size and shape is nice but I'm not sure if it's just Android but it runs like shit now and multitasking like listening to music and browsing the internet sometimes crashes the music player.
There's a shitstorm on /v/ about this right now and from what I gathered, Sony has a crapload of divisions and some of them are poorly marketed or just facing extremely tough competition, like the mobile phone department. They have to compete with Samsung and iOS, which both already have extremely huge install bases, iOS on brand alone and Samsung being cheap using Android, which is developer friendly. I can't really think of what Sony phones have that can trump those aspects that the other phones have apart from hardware and maybe software accessibility. I've never used a Sony phone though so perhaps someone could educate me on that.
In recent years, Samsung has given developers the middle finger and made it harder to develop custom ROMS and other stuff on. Sony on the other hand has always been developer friendly for many years now allowing you to officially unlock your bootloader and providing a bunch of development tools for their Xperia devices.
Why does it feels like they got the bar set too high?
It´s fucking Japanese managers, they always set the bar so high it´s almost impossible for it to be accomplished.
Bye Sony! Byeee, it's been nice having you here.
Uh, pretty sure the PS4 is outselling the Xbone pretty much everywhere, no idea where you got the idea that the PS4 was a failure.
The PS4 development team was told that this was Sony's video game division's last chance to make some profit. Sony could drop Video games like a hat because, compared to other things they do, it's pretty damn minuscule. Doesn't matter if they are outselling the Xbone, the profit margin is negative because of a lot of factors that Sony sucks at handling in regards to gaming.
Bye Sony! Byeee, it's been nice having you here.
Sony won't ever go away, but it may leave the gaming market. Hopefully they leave before Bloodborne gets into final stages so that they release on PC
Although I'm not so certain of the Z3 since it's so very similar to it's predecessor. On the other hand, they can sell the Spider-Man film rights back to Marvel if they really need cash!
I don't understand the dumb, but if you wanted a source: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/127903-PS4-Isnt-Allowed-to-be-Another-Failure-Says-Sony-Exec They have much more profitable sectors of business, and PS4 even with all of its sales is not giving Sony the money they were wanting
2 Billions for Sony is not that much

I got the M2, which is supposedly worse in hardware, but it runs pretty well. Although it is new, and it seems that the music player got a bit slower after a few updates... Still, best phone I ever had. Size is perfect, shape of the thing is great (miles better than most samsung phones) and its loaded with useful stuff.
communist currency
Hah.
Uh, pretty sure the PS4 is outselling the Xbone pretty much everywhere, no idea where you got the idea that the PS4 was a failure.
True that, although with that in mind, it's kinda baffling that their smartphone side of things is negating the monetary gains of so many PS4s sold, to such an extent that they're expecting a loss of over 2 billion dollars. Have their smartphones really flopped THAT hard due to competition from Samsung and Chinese companies? Or are there other major factors that've yielded such a deficit besides phones?
I think the main problem here is lack of marketing, I've barely heard of Sony phones. I know they exist but I don't know what they run, what they've got in them or what they look like.
I didn't even know Sony phones exist.
2 Billions for Sony is not that much
not when they're near bankrupt
All these people bitching about nationalism/which console they like/what OS they use what the hell, I guess we should start arguing about what the best kind of sandwich is, it'd be just as relevant.
If sony sold playstation, I wounder who would buy it.
