I hope it plays more like mechwarrior 3 where the arms moved separately from the torso.
I hope it's not as much of a grindfest as World of Tanks. In that game, you have to pay for premium just to be able to break even with some of the more expensive vehicles.
CATAPULTS FUCK YEAR

I played mechwarrior 4. Fucking hell it's complicated to learn. Is there a training course in the game at all?
I played mechwarrior 4. Fucking hell it's complicated to learn. Is there a training course in the game at all?
its the same style as the dwarf fortress tutorial
I played mechwarrior 4. Fucking hell it's complicated to learn. Is there a training course in the game at all?
Yeah, there's a tutorial.
I want starsiege tribes to have a reboot.
I hope they're launching this to show publishers how the community isn't dead, and then use the interest generated from it to launch a proper single-player game. Although one of the best things about the MechWarrior games is the online play, I still enjoyed the single-player campaigns. (Except BlackKnight, that shit was impossible.)
I played mechwarrior 4. Fucking hell it's complicated to learn. Is there a training course in the game at all?
Go into "Instant Action", and under "Mission Type" or something along those lines you should find "Training".
I played mechwarrior 4. Fucking hell it's complicated to learn. Is there a training course in the game at all?
I don't mean to sound condescending, but you found it complicated? It plays pretty much like an FPS, albeit with a different movement system. Earlier Mechwarrior games were significantly more complicated. I'm hoping they play up the sim aspect from those games, since we already have plenty of shooters and Hawken is looking to fill the simple arcade-y mech niche.
i reserved my pilot's name.
I gotta get me a decent joystick. Heard the Force Feedback 2 was good, but it costs way too damn much. How long does it typically take for one to get good at the Mechwarrior controls?
How long does it typically take for one to get good at the Mechwarrior controls?
Pretty simple, so not long. I'd recommend a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro, it has a built in throttle, stick twist, and 8-direction hat plus a whole bunch of buttons, so it's pretty much everything you need in a joystick for a very modest price.
I want starsiege tribes to have a reboot.
It... is? http://tribesascend.com/
