Why don't we just kill 25 IW employees then nuke the place?
I sense how most of the people didn't get the joke.
Considering you can actually skip the level shows how little care IW have for a "storyline"
I sense how most of the people didn't get the joke.
Killing employees would delay games :downs:
I seen the thread, I laughed, and now I shall move on.
some country always has something to bawww about in every war game that gets released. Suck it up and play the game. It's not real life so it really shouldn't fucking matter :jerkbag:
qft
I don't see why they have to ban it. They don't have to buy the game, if they find the content objectionable they can simply pass on it, and those who aren't bothered can still play it.
Why are they bitching, you're given the option to skip the fucking level. The fuck.
What's the good in that? You can also skip all the levels by not buying the game.
Boy, MW 2 is having a lot of problems. First everyone flips the fuck out because of "killing innocent people", the entire game is leaked, online won't work for shit, pings nationwide suck ass, Activision is going to make people pay for Online, and now this. Still laughing like hell at people who bought it.
um i bought it, enjoyed it, and have no problems how about you quit whining about a game you don't want and let people who want to play it enjoy it?
they should just make the game "no american"
Ok be honest. Who DIDN'T see this coming?
See, now all the russians are whining because infinity ward is portraying russia as bad baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw man up, I didn't complain when we were at the whole "middle-eastern war" fad.
Aren't Russians like the biggest pirates around :v: [editline]07:14AM[/editline]
See, now all the russians are whining because infinity ward is portraying russia as bad baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw man up, I didn't complain when we were at the whole "middle-eastern war" fad.
But Russia's actually kinda strong. I'm not sure the whole world is afraid of Iraq or Iran or any of those "nations." If they all united and formed one country, possibly.
I'm not sure the whole world is afraid of Iraq or Iran or any of those "nations." If they all united and formed one country, possibly.
Right, also we aren't afraid of [sp]YOU[/sp]
Killing employees would delay games :downs:
Ugh, you didn't get the joke. In MW2 when you get a 25 kills streak you get a nuke. :downs: to you, my friend.
The russian government just doesnt want the people to know about their plans :tinfoil:
But Russia's actually kinda strong. I'm not sure the whole world is afraid of Iraq or Iran or any of those "nations." If they all united and formed one country, possibly.
What's that have to do with my point?
why do you hate us
why do you hate us
:bandwagon:
I can definitely see what IW was doing, but they made a mistake. They saw the "Hot Coffee" controversy and said "Let's do this and see what comes of it." Brian, the manager at a GameStop near me, was warning everyone who purchased the game and even told them to completely skip the level. This shit's crazy. I completely agree with the fact that IW is catering to the U.S.A but they do that with complete disrespect to Russia. Plus, the airport scene had no leverage in the game whatsoever besies starting the war. They could have done that in a number of ways. :cop:
Has japan banned Medal of honor games yet?
I saw the airport level on youtube (I dont have the game) and it was the most disturbing thing i've ever seen in a game, keep in mind i've played postal 2, GTA, soldier of fortune 2 etc. none of those games show a realistic terrorist attack, they are just mindless killing and can't take it serious. I agree with a comment I saw that if the game let you play a school shooting in an american high school or college it would be banned in the USA most likely.
Maybe Russia should have played the game to find out that [sp] Shepard, an American, is the real bad guy in the game[/sp]
Russia is still portraied as the short sighted nation that wages global warfare as soon as it gets any reason to do so.
It was banned by MVD (МВД) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_Ministry_of_Internal_Affairs. See that? Kudos to gavnomamonta, from Habrahabr.Ru (Russian Slashdot, sort of)
It still was a pretty dick move of Infinity ward to portray Russia like that.
There's lots of films and other media portaying russia "like that". People just need to realise that not all russians are commies butthurt anout the fall of the USSR.
Well that was to be expected.
So that means there won't be a 20$ russian "1C" release in Estonia? :smithicide: Not really, though. Rather spend my money on L4D2.
Well let's see why they could have possibly banned this game, shall we? 1: The game is centered around a Russian Airport getting shot up, Not to mention the failure of the Russian security to handle 4 men. 2: You don't get to play as the Russians and you spend most of your time killing Russians. 3: The Russian troops are stupid in this game, And it always appears that 2-6 men can take down an entire Russian base with relative ease. 4: It portrays the Russian military as ruthless barbarians that just kill civilians, They even say how the "Americans don't kill civilians, We aren't savages" while they also point out that Russia is killing "A thousand Americans for every dead Russian in that airport" I would have found the game better if you were able to play as a Russian troop invading America, but no that would make America mad since it would probably portray the Americans as savages :downs:
You're right. Call of duty used to be all about points of view. Back in the good old days of call of duty 1 and 2, you had mission all over the place, some in which you played as the bad guys. Nowadays you're always a good guy. [editline]04:36PM[/editline] A mission as a Russian would have been good gameplay-wise. Parachuting in to a hostile warzone, would have been great, especially when [sp] the Russians take over the whitehouse[/sp]
This is pretty stupid. It should be up to the individual to decide.
Now we need to rid the russian mic spammers on team fortress 2 and i will be happy
