Even if it was bioshock + asscreed it would be fucking awesome. They're both great games and a mix of these two sounds awesome to me. In my books it's ok to copy/rip off as long as it's as good as the original, if not better.
Combinations are a way to go really
combine the good aspects of one game, as well as another, but also make something purely new out of it
Wow, the world's inspired by Viktor Antonov, thought it looked kind of HL2ish with the awesome angular carriages looking like APCs and the artystyle in general. I'm definitely considering this, Bethesda haven't really let me down, and I've bought most of their games since Morrowind.
Inspired by? It is designed by him. At least the last time I read about this it was.
Was expecting a new Fallout but this is interesting.
Holy fuck.

Yeah I've learned my lesson. That "simulation" stuff sounds cool but the execution will not be great more likely than not.
Yeah I've learned my lesson. It sounds cool but the execution will not be great.
How do you know this? have you got some kind of magical time travel device? Or is this just because Bethesda are involved? Because if it's the latter, they aren't developing the game, so you'd be wrong.
Yeah I've learned my lesson. That "simulation" stuff sounds cool but the execution will not be great more likely than not.
Even if it is a train wreck, which it very much likely won't be, theres still going to be a lot of good aspects from the game
Well its a new game so i'm happy, would prefer this then a reboot of a old series
Well its a new game so i'm happy, would prefer this then a reboot of a old series
To be fair, F4 would be amazing, but Dishonored is like, way better
Any News yet?

Oh, my bad, you're right.
The slow-time and the forward dash reminded me of that slow-time shout and wuul nah kest.
Slowing down time is old as hell. Skyrim far from invented it, nor did it make it popular. As for dashes, that has been around for ages too.
I don't like playing the same games over and over.

Not just that, Bioshock 2's character had a symbol on his hand too.
It's the art style and parkour elements that are similar.
Artstyle is not similar, and Ganondorf had the triforce on his hand in OoT too, obviously Bioshock 2 copied it.
also i have to say that is a really bad idea for a track vehicle, you need twice the amount of material to make the tracks now

I wonder if they'll go the extra mile for a sandbox type game and randomize what starts out at the beginning of the game. That way the game will seem a little different everytime and people won't know exactly when and where something will happen like a psychic.
Dishonored seems like Infamous, and even the name is similar. Is this a joke or am I just seeing things?
The names are quite similar for some reason, I can't explain why I think that though.
But the game doesn't seem anything like Infamous. They look quite different.

If their AI system does what they want it to do. They could technically spawn every NPC at the start of the game, assign them a generated personality and let them get on with their lives. Obviously making sure key NPCs generate how they are meant to.
Bethesda spelled the name of their major new game wrong, pff.
[sp]I'm just kidding, don't get your underwear in a twist.[/sp]
It has been more then 24 hours where is it?!?
Be realistic, please. Fallout 3 was a dissapointment. The idea behind Fallout was to explore the ethics of a post-nuclear world, not to make a better plasma gun.
Not sure why this guy is getting rated dumb because it's true
Fallout 3 may have been enjoyable but it was too focused on combat compared to the first two games
There's a reason you can fight your way through Fallout 1... with only your mouth
I just hope it does not turn out to be some linear half-assed game
meh
Yes, the theme is different but the idea is really similar. "A freerunner with supernatural powers fighting the evil controlling the city."
If you dig it so deep every game idea is similar as they are all environments that player interacts with in some way.

It was different from FO1 and 2 but it wasn't all that bad. Though NV was much better as they fixed and improved the mechanics a lot. FO3 was kinda weird because it had a big transition so it was left kinda raw.
A few things;
It's not Bethesda making it, it's Arkane Studios. They're using a "custom" version of the Unreal Engine.
I'd also like to ask, where / what you saw that made you think they'll be re-using Skyrim stuff?
It appears that people still get "Publisher" and "Developer" mixed up a lot.
To be honest, the fact that the studios themselves (both Softworks and Game Studios) often only refer to themselves as "Bethesda" does not help matters at all.
I sometimes mix them up even when they ARE explicit as to the Softworks/Game Studios, because they both have the "Bethesda" name in it. I honestly would be perfectly fine if Softworks renamed themselves to something that's not Bethesda, because honestly, I don't give a rat's ass about who publishes what - I care about the game for the game, and by extension, I care about those who develop the game.
When I say "X is a Bethesda game," I mean "X is a game developed by Bethesda," not "X is a game published by Bethesda." I mean, how many people here call the STALKER series a THQ game? None that I know of - it's a GSC Gameworld game, because it's developed by GSC Gameworld.
That's just my personal opinion on the Softworks & Game Studios thing, though.
Yeah, how many times have we heard that claim before? You remember the original AI plans for Oblivion? Radiant AI?
Oblivion did have Radiant AI though
Oh please, don't even try an argument like that. I find them incredibly similar without any digging!
I don't know how you are though.
Infamous - You are a normal, human, freerunner until suddenly POWERS! You now want to find out why the fuck you have them, who did it and turned the city to shit. And then use that power to rule over the muggles, or help the muggles from the baddies.
Dishourned - You were framed for the murder of your protectee. You are busted out of prison (I assume) and given magic of some form. You now go around trying to work out why someone would frame you. Who did it. And get revenge. (From what I can tell)
The only similarities really are that you are trying to work out who the fuck caused the problem, and you can hop around rooftops.

Yeah but you're like, both white in both of the games, and you kill people!
Also part of the game is an entity referred to as "The Outsider". The ambiguous being is described as part angel and part devil, and it is supposedly responsible for all magic in the world. Its motives and nature are shrouded in mystery, but the protagonist, Corvo, made some form of contact with the being, giving him mysterious powers.
(from wikipedia)
Has anyone else played The Last Story? This aspect of it sounds exactly the same, even the name of the magic-granting force/character.
What if its neither, isn't everyone setting there hopes a little high? I mean could be Brink 2.. God I hope its brink 2....

Thank fuck for a new IP i'm so sick of all these damn sequels
That Russian guy's level design of City 17 really shows in that gamespot interview video, and those guys on stilts are so fucking awesome looking.
Holy shit if the game is anything like the trailer this is going to be awesome.
