Do you know what the average IQ in the United States is? You're putting words in my mouth by claiming that I said I'm the smartest man alive, far from it, but I do recognize that very large portions of our respective societies are not that intelligent or as appreciative of excellent writing and design as they should be. I would agree with you if they hadn't built Fallout 3 on the base of Oblivion. And New Vegas had more roots in Fallout 1/2, it was the true sequel if you will.
You are just a ton of fun, Splendor.
Fallout 3 has a terrible story, plot and lore but it's fun to kill people with plasma guns. I don't see any problem here.
fixed
Please make it more like the old ones bethesda.
IQ doesn't mean shit if you're seriously using that as an argument then BOY are you dumb and desperate
How would you measure intelligence then? How is IQ faulty? Would you rather I talk of educational attainment?
people liked Fallout 3, get over yourself. I personally liked New Vegas a bit more because it had more content.
The Twilight Saga is a series of five fantasy films from Summit Entertainment based on the four Twilight series novels by the American author Stephenie Meyer. The films star Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner. The series has grossed over $2 billion in worldwide receipts and consists, to date, of four motion pictures.
games won't evolve if a game company keeps making the same game over and over again.
The games industry is trial and error. Fallout 3's style didn't work well, but when they went back to Fallout a nd 2's style with New Vegas, it was much better. Coincidence?
Brilliant. You really represent the lowest common denominator admirably. EDIT: Fallout 3 had a total of 15 voice actors, S.P.E.C.I.A.L. is broken, the writing is horrid, they turned the Brotherhood into some sort of sympathetic Robin Hood bullshit organization, V.A.T.S. is nothing like targeted shots and makes the game hilariously easy, your weapon skills make guns more powerful, all automobiles are packed with high explosives, uranium explodes when shot, super mutants, Enclave and the Brotherhood are all rehashed in a plot that reads like The Idiot's Guide to Fallout, Bethesda has zero understanding of dark humor, or any humor for that matter. And I'm not even going to touch on the engine faults.
yea im not gonna read all that because i liked fallout 3 thanks for your input [editline]16th April 2012[/editline]
Do you know what the average IQ in the United States is?
yea im not gonna read all that because i liked fallout 3 thanks for your input
"I'm gonna be ignorant because you made a point I can't counter"
doop doop doop i like fallout 3 bcuz it has p big explonsions n shyt
Wow, really. That's an engrossing tale, brother. You're like a caricature of the aforementioned Fallout 3 fans that thisispain makes every effort to defend and you're proving my point every time you make the effort to type.
Wow, really. That's an engrossing tale, brother.
haha dude that is so epic how did you edit my post?? thats so awesome lmao!!! also whats this stupid "engrossing tale, brother" why don't you just admit you're an awful 4channer that uses "cool story bro" and be done with it? yeah i read your little list of complaints and i didn't care about any of them because despite obvious flaws i still enjoyed the game and while it may not have been perfect by a longshot i still think it was a great game. what do you want me to say? "oh youre right sorry all that fun i had didn't count because there weren't enough voice actors youre right"

Coincidence?
Fallout 3's style worked just fine, i felt New Vegas had more content but the style was incredibly inconsistent and the atmosphere was hit and miss.
"The people" are known for their shitty taste and intellectual anemia.
haha what. What has people's opinions got anything to do with intellect?
No, I want you to realize that we're trying to discuss the flaws and virtues of the game objectively and noone gives a shit that you think "the game was flawed but i like it and i don't care what you say".
rofl you're not really discussing you're just going "lol game is shit end of story"
Fallout 3's style worked just fine, i felt New Vegas had more content but the style was incredibly inconsistent and the atmosphere was hit and miss.
the writing was way better than fallout 3 and it was refreshing to have an environment that wasn't entirely destroyed and gloomy but yeah, it was almost like the setting was too scenile and perfect, it wasn't as run down as a fallout game should be. i think fallout 3 was a little overkill with the overuse of green, and downtown DC was the worst thing in the history of games. traversing DC was so miserable i would just do side quests and ignore whatever quests wound up taking me to DC for a long time. hopefully in fallout 4 they find a good balance between fallout 3's gloomy apocalypse and the new vegas "rebuilt" feeling.
If it's FO4, it better be done by Obsidian. At least NV was a decent middleway between old FO style and a more modern style.
what the fuck is with the wild west theme of the starting town in NV anyways while really weird, it seemed fun even still

Because it's more than 200 years after the war.
rofl you're not really discussing you're just going "lol game is shit end of story"
I've offered a variety of arguments such as lackluster voice acting, writing, lack of originality, game design flaws and so on.
They better make Fallout 4 good. I thought the others were alright, a little over-hyped. TES is the main shit, of course.
I hope it isn't Fallout 4. Fallout 3 was terrible.
Someone's probably going to slaughter me now, but Bethesda's never made a game that's interested me. I've bought Skyrim, Oblivion and Fallout 3 and neither of them keep me playing for long. There's just something about the gameplay in all of them that puts me off.
"we're trying to discuss the flaws and virtues of the game objectively" "people liked fallout 3 because they have a low IQ"
Are you saying people of average or lower intelligence and/or education are not more likely to gloss over plot holes, dime a dozen characters, run of the mill writing and all the other points that I raised, if nothing else because they did not spot them in the first place?
while completely giving no pro's to it and calling people that liked it stupid
Fair enough, the open world is pretty well done, there's alot of content to explore, high level of replayability, despite being a first person shooter it still manages to feel like a Fallout game, etc.

They are pretty good games, though often buggy, but no where near the perfect RPGs the media paints them to be. That said I'm eager to see their next project.
Personally, I thought Fallout 3 had a stupid story, boring characters, terrible voice acting and an uninteresting setting. Though I give props to it's Art Design, that's all it had going for it. New Vegas on the other hand had a better story and some top notch voice work.
Get off of your high horse, opinions are different per person.
So, you're saying that Fallout 3 does not have plot holes, that the writing is good and so on?
So, you're saying that Fallout 3 does not have plot holes, that the writing is good and so on?
no i think he's just saying that despite all that it's still possible to enjoy the game
