That's where it lives, though. According to urban legend.
Picture looks like a halloween prop thrown in the air.
mulder its obvious this is some kind of fabrication. the jersey devil is just a myth!
Funnily enough the X-files did tackle the Jersey Devil.
It turned out to be a prehistoric human and his mate and child.
You call that a New Jersey devil? The NJ devil is supposed to be the spookiest fucking thing, not some goat with wings.

I like its portrayal in SMT Soul Hackers.
you think thats spooky?
Indian mythology beats the crap out of our spooky stories.
Goddamn skinwalkers.
I was just joking about with some friends how we should go out and hunt the NJ devil.

Sign me up, lets go. If we end up napalming the state that won't affect anything, more of an improvement really.

I always thought the Mothman was the weirdest urban legend

that floppy baby goat followed by a slightly bothered exhale is some of the best raw footage of a cryptoid harassing a local yokel I've seen in years. This has me spooked more than the legend of the spiderdog

both of them are up there.
Windego is creepy as shit, mothman is creepy as shit - jersey devil is a goat with the head of jersey's dead horse flag
not creepy as shit
Man, I love this state.

The pineys are massive, that'd be a lot of napalm. But yeah nobody would mind :v:

The movie for that freaked me out when I was younger but I have no idea what it was even about. It caused a bridge to collapse and called the guy at the end?
Just a common winged goat, nothing else. Get them all the time here. Can't believe this is news.
Correct me if I'm wrong, over there they're called Welshmen, right?

Sounds like the Mothman Prophecies which is based on a book which in turn is based on the real life collapse of the bridge depicted in the film. IIRC the Mothman in the film (and by extention real life) began appearing to people in the town and kinda gave cryptic information that the bridge would collapse killing a specific number of people (IRL it just appeared to people). It's more of a supernatural mystery / thriller than a horror as it does not actually do anything other than killing some animals maybe for food.
Whether the Mothman causes the Bridge to collapse or merely warns about the pending disaster is up for interpretation, both in the film and real life.

Oh scully, still persistent to not believe because mulder didn't get you a desk
I drove through New Jersey a few times, but the first was the most suitable.
The air started to smell and I had to put air recycle on. A sign on the highway said "Welcome to New Jersey"
The smell keeps wafting over into Philly. There's a reason we have trees that release nuts that when crushed smell like hell. They smell better than Jersey.

Oh? We're doing Urban Legends and conspiracy theories? Yay.
Mothman, the Greys are weird/horrifying if they weren't so overdone, Wendigo, Skunk Ape.
In Pennsylvania we have, The Creeper which is this bald, smooth skinned and horrifically grinning looking thing that appears on hunting cams from time to time behind certain kinds of prey in Pennsyltucky.
Sometimes it leaves a carcass as the story goes. The Creeper is very much like the rake except you don't hear it coming, it doesn't talk to you and its always behind you. Its a more recent cryptid, there's no real urban legend but the fucker keeps popping up in cam photos whether faked or not.

It's probably some inbred moonshiner like most of Pennsylvania.
