The world ends tomorrow because I said so.
cant wait till the massive riots on the 20/12/12
It might be entertaining (or not) to see all the people who actually believe in this... on one hand, there'll be hundreds, if not thousands of people going about their own ways of preparing for the apocalypse. On the other hand, there might be people committing suicide, whether in groups (think of cults) or on their own, and people might be going all anti-social and committing crimes like there's no tomorrow since, you know... [editline]26th November 2011[/editline]
It doesn't even say the world is going to end, it says an era is going to end, that like me grabbing a calendar and saying that the year is going to end on the 31st of December and someone assuming that means the end of the world. No, and era ends and another begins, just like our years.
A new era, like the Singularity?
I want to make a brick to leave for civilizations in the far future that has a random date on it and cause confusion and doomsday prophecies
This whole ridiculous thing is still built on the assumption that primitive people from thousands of years ago were somehow more informed about the world than we are.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. There is only one true end-of-world scenario:
390 days to party I guess
Well, Who wants to party on the 22nd of December, 2012.
Look at the bright side: On the day before, there's either going to be riots or the bombest parties since greek Dionysian orgies. Get excited.
Why do we care more about an ancient people's flawed imaginary system than modern science.
I just carved into a stone tablet that says we will die from a meteor in the year 2015, makes it true, right?
People are so fucking retarded. Its a brick. Calendars run out AND FUCKING ANCIENT PEOPLE WERE SUPERSTITIOUS AS FUCK. Get over it.
And the brick doesn't even say that the world's going to end. Nor does the calendar. The original calendar prophecy just states that a "great change" shall take place. That's as vague as fucking Nostradamus. But your average humans are not renowned for their intelligence. They are, however, for their ability to believe in stupendously ridiculous things.
Am I the only one who actually wants world to end It will be the coolest event in my life! :v: :suicide:
Yeah, that way when I go out, I'll be taking all you assholes with me.
I want to join the end of the world riots. Not because I believe in this, but because I get to have fun by wreaking havoc and get away with it
I want to join the end of the world riots. Not because I believe in this, but because I get to have fun by wreaking havoc and get away with it
And that's the real problem about these end of the world prophesies. Not the possibility (0%) of the world ending, but rather how people will react. When you've got less than 24 hours to life people will do whatever they want. Rob, loot, riot, kill. Heck during the last "end of the world" some woman slit her daughters' throats for fear they would suffer in the impending nonexistent apocalypse.
Credibility boost? More like more bullshit.
If our world ends when mayan calendar ends, does it mean our world didn't exist before mayans had a calendar?
Can someone remind me what god the mayans worshiped?
Why in the fucking fuck are people willing to give the Mayans so much credibility? http://www.abhota.info/end1.htm
Everyone is going to spend the day like it's their last and suicides will be in the masses. I think about half the people I meet believe in this 2012 shit.
At least our gene pool will improve vastly.
guys how can the world end in 2012 if my jello expires in 7047?
because APPARENTLY, they are linked to aliens which are mind controlling high-lords that suck the blood of humans and built us for slavery and labor purposes, but it ended up that somehow they flew away and are scouting our skies now because of the UFO's in the sky, they know because they watched ancient aliens. Mark my words: Once we're in Jan 1, 2013, somebody will pick up a new alarmist apocalypse myth... Norse Ragnarök. ZOMG THE WORLD WILL END IN 2054, THE WORLD WILL BE COVERED IN SNOW OMG OMG OMG!!! :derp:
How is the world going to end if my uranium's half-life still has 2 million years left?

Meanwhile in the UK, on the date where the world is "going" to end, nobody will act any different. Because we're not idiots.
Well I mean, the end of their world kind of came with the spread of smallpox so I think they were a little cocky to think they would last until 2012!

Also, they sacrificed newborns by tearing out their hearts to celebrate a new king's rule. Are you really going to trust what they say about the end of the world?
