If only someone from the fat liberation front or whatever they were called would read this thread, hilarity ensured.

Privileges would be checked.

Link them this thread.
From the Thin Privilege tumblr's FAQ:
The website sources this horseshit from the ACJN which says:
That's BMI, not body fat - wait, what does the tumblr have to say about BMI?
if the first one was true, i wouldn't be the only fat one in my family
:(

Do it.
Only women get fat right?
Therefore only women can be shamed for being fat.
Makes sense.
Her tweets are referring to "Fat Shaming Week", which is something that Mens' Rights Activists decided would be a good idea to start
Not that MRAs actually care about men but it helps to know the context
chubby chaser
No shit Sherlock.

So both ends of the spectrum are fucking retarded. Who knew?
Fuckin lol we're gonna end up getting facepunch branded as fatpunch.
If they all did that at once I would be afraid of changes in Earth's orbit around the sun
It's funny, 'cause they got a lot of mass which might offset the spin of the earth!
Let's be real(ly hypocritical, in my case), being an ass to fat people isn't gonna help anyone, and while these 'this is fat privilege' posts are admittedly hilarious and getting mad at people for being fit is fucking stupid; weight isn't a reason to treat anyone like shit. Really. Be fuckin' nice to people. Chances are, fat people have enough problems on their own already without you giving them shit, too. Depression is a crappy motivator for improving or losing weight. I don't have much love for the 'fat and proud' crowd who act like fat people's 'rights' is the next big social issue once we're done with gay rights, but regular, sane folk who just happen to be fat for whatever reason, they don't need no hate. It's stupid, and it's dickish.

I think most of the posts in this thread here are just silly banter and not supposed to be taken seriously.
Fuckin lol we're gonna end up getting facepunch branded as fatpunch.
Or thinpunch, considering all the, uh, 'fat-shaming' we're posting ITT
also

holy shit yes
I think most of the posts in this thread here are just silly banter and not supposed to be taken seriously.
I dunno, I know too many people who actually, genuinely do have the 'gross' reaction to fat people. Which helps absolutely no one. If you don't love fat people, that's cool, I guess. Can't agree with everyone. But at least have a fuckin' live-and-let-live attitude, will ya?
I agree that fat shaming is bad and people who feel the need to constantly rag on overweight people are assholes. I disagree however with the argument that unhealthy choices should be free of ridicule. Yeah if you load up on junk food the cashier is going to make certain judgements, but the same is true of any unhealthy habit.
Also this picture really is not bad, it seems to be more encouragement than shaming. "If I can do it so can you"

That post wasn't directed at you, Stents. Just noticed it looked like it was. The 'you' in my post there is a hypothetical 'you' for a person who hates fat people.
Holy shit. I am 6'5" and 150lb and I am imploring you to eat something man.
You're rather underweight yourself.
MY AUTOMERGE, NOO!
...God damn it.

Keep an eye on the ticker.

To be fair, women have to put up with a lot more shit in the name of looking good, there's a reason that there are 7 million women with eating disorder while there are "only" 1 million guys (in the US). Instead of fat shaming, we should try and help people find a middle ground between anorexia and obesity

How do women have to put up with it more? Nobody's forcing them to read those terrible magazines that ridicule even the slightest of fat people or take offence to a thin person in an ad.
Here is what the person in the photo had to say about it...
Every woman is different and my intention was not to ask, “What’s your Excuse for not looking like me?” My intention was to imply, “What’s your Excuse for not exercising?” However you interpret the message is dependent on your emotional state when you read the caption.
I definitely agree that my results are not normal. At the same time, being ‘fit’ is no longer normal in society. 1/3 of Americans are obese and over half are overweight. So of course it’s not realistic for the ‘average’ person to be fit after pregnancy because usually they are not fit before pregnancy. If you take care of yourself, exercise and eat the correct foods, then my results can be normal for you too! There’s nothing wrong with being fit. It’s good for you, your family and your wallet towards the end of your life.
That picture is pretty shitty, but only because without context it outright implies that there's no excuse for being fat after having three kids
It isn't fat-shaming but there was a bit of brainlessness that went into making it
Women are sexually objectified a lot more than men. There is greater pressure on them to look or act a certain way to be seen as sexually attractive.

Society has standards and expectations still. Even if you don't personally care, other people will, and prolly will comment; to a higher degree if female than male.
I don't have a problem with fat people. I have a problem with fat people blaming their weight on other people/reasons. If you can't accept that you're fat simply because you lack the will to lose the weight, you shouldn't expect sympathy.
This is coming from someone who lost 60~ pounds since February.

I've lost over 100 and the difference between us is that I don't use it as an excuse to feel superior to other people
