i dont know how you could be surprised that fat people hate being treated badly, seems kind of obvious to me no matter how much you justify it [editline]17th October 2013[/editline]
I can't keep up with all of these terms. What does Heteronormative mean? Wikipedia says it's about denying homosexuality, so what does that have to do with fat women?
that person is co-opting LGBT terms [editline]17th October 2013[/editline]
Going by my (remedial at best) understanding of Latin word roots, she was probably trying to say "heterosexually normal" or "standard heterosexual" in a single fancy word, and gloriously fucked it up. Nuttin' like usin' dem big, fancy Latin words to sound edumacated.
latin roots??? hetero and homo are greek words, and normative means pertaining to an established order. she was trying to conflate heteronormativity with the lack of acceptance for i guess fat people
i dont know how you could be surprised that fat people hate being treated badly, seems kind of obvious to me no matter how much you justify it
The problem is when they co-opt LGBT terms at the expense of LGBT people who's oppressions result from their identities rather than their afflictions. I do make the distinction between identifying as LGBT and identifying as fat because one is important and the other is utterly contrived
The fact that 'fatshaming' is even a real term does nothing to improve my opinion of SJWs. I have no issue with people who have a legitimate, medically recognized health problem that makes them overweight. But if youare a morbidly obese slob through your own gluttony and general lack of self control, then I have no pity for you and being obese by choice should in no way be encouraged. 'Fat acceptance' is little more than a shallow attempt at absolving oneself from personal responsibility. "I'm fat because I gorge myself on shitty food, but no one is allowed to criticize me for it because it hurts my feelings :("
lmfao
I'm clinically underweight and I flinch when I open something that's fucking loud. Because it's loud.
The sad thing is, there is some weird fucking fat shaming going on, and in probably the worst possible way. I'm a fat bastard, and that's my fault. I'm also trying my best to lose weight, and I'm not doing too bad. But what really, really pisses me off, is that if I go for a run, people laugh and take the piss out of me. I try and and ignore the idiots, but it's a fucking downer.Being overweight, I can understand why people mock you for it, to a degree. But a fat person trying to loose weight - fuck them, they're taking away our fun! That's the only way I can see it, anyway. If I see anyone overweight out and about jogging, or running, or cycling or whatever, I give them a nod of the head of acknowledgement, I don't try and make it fucking harder for them...
my opinions on this issue are all kind of up in the air, but if there's one thing I can agree on it's that people who shame fat people for going outside and doing exercise deserve to be punched in the throat
If they all take to the streets in protest, wouldn't they all lose weight? Or would they simply remain in their comfy adobes typing away furiously.
Why do you think all these people are on tumblr.
I can challenge you to a duel.
I doubt he's scared out you coming over and playing Yugioh with him.
I hope you live within driving distance, so I can challenge you to a duel.
Oh my god
also, the whole blog smells of jealousness
this thread is great, thanks facepunch
Oh my god
Get your Yu-Gi-Oh! deck ready.

"6. WE repudiate the mystified “science” which falsely claims that we are unfit. It has both caused and upheld discrimination against us, in collusion with the financial interests of insurance companies, the fashion and garment industries, reducing industries, the food and drug industries, and the medical and psychiatric establishment." So these people are actually in denial of the scientific method? They willingly deny hundreds of peer reviewed studies which illustrate the adverse health effects of being overweight? These people aren't just stupid, they're outright dangerous for preaching anti-intellectual bullshit.
What are you gonna do, crush him?
No, despite my preference in women, I am not overweight, I am in good shape, and fairly active. And aspen would get to choose the weapons: I have pistols and knives. Also, yugioh is fucking stupid. [editline]17th October 2013[/editline]
Heh, I may not have it saved, but I DO remember seeing that pic of you and another FP user hanging out in front of a diner or something in real life. I think I remember it pretty well, but if someone could repost that, I'd appreciate it. If my memory of that pic serves me well (note: I have terrible memory unless it involves random shit), you're not exactly svelte, pal. Mind you I'm nothing special either, but I think it's worth pointing out that you're a bit silly, acting like a pudgy girl met on the internet is a bad thing when you're a bit round yourself. There's also the fact that you're needlessly being a shit toward a guy who found himself some love. Fat, thin, otherwise weird, who gives a shit as long as the dude's happy. I can see that you're probably lonely, hence your random nastiness, but don't worry. Maybe if you put an ad up on Craigslist, a thin chick who likes pudgy guys will scoop you up. Sorry to derail the thread at all, please resume rightfully complaining about bitchy fat people who stupidly think they're oppressed.
thin privilege is not being afraid to buy super cute tights because the “one size fits most” might not fit you
Oh god please tell me this tumblr is satirical because this shit is hilarious.

Obesity is unhealthy people, no two ways about it.
Welp, I think I have to loose weight now, these people are making want to loose weight more than anything now, they are fucking stupid. Really "fat pride?" the fuck is wrong with you? I've been to lazy, but now I have a reason to do it, to piss of these people, and I love pissing off people!
Have fun with diabetes and heart attacks.
What? Um, the fuck you on about, I said I am loosing weight now, hell I was doing anyways, just this bitch just put me in overdrive.
now i'll be the first to admit that i'm a lazy fatass but that's my own damn fault. there is no 'thin privilege'.
What? Um, the fuck you on about, I said I am loosing weight now, hell I was doing anyways, just this bitch just put me in overdrive.
I'm sorry I mis-read your post, thought you were being sarcastic. Keep up the good work!

Isn't being obese still considered extremely unhealthy? If fat people are so sensitive about being fat, then maybe they should consider their health is at risk and do something about it.
Isn't being obese still considered extremely unhealthy? If fat people are so sensitive about being fat, then maybe they should consider their health is at risk and do something about it.
of course it is but unfortunately the "fat liberation" asshats have convinced themselves it's the "diet industry" buying out doctors to say that
To be fair, women have to put up with a lot more shit in the name of looking good, there's a reason that there are 7 million women with eating disorder while there are "only" 1 million guys (in the US). Instead of fat shaming, we should try and help people find a middle ground between anorexia and obesity
What I am gathering from this post is that eating disorder support groups are a good place to pick up chicks.
BDA I think we're onto something here.
5'9 & 235. I'm just big-boned! Fat revolution 2013!
"Its just genetics my friend eats just as much and the same food as i do and he/she is skinny" has never been true ever
