People who use tripcodes ("tripfags") are among the worst posters on the site actually.
“If choose to gain a sense of identity in your posting, it most likely means that you are an attention grubbing whore who has their heart on being a board celebrity rather than actually contributing anything worthwhile„ - Anonymous
/sci/ is a pretty good board. Occasionally someone will post some question which stumps almost everyone, then like three people will eventually turn up and solve it with similar, yet different methods, get pretty much the same answer (out very slightly) and everything goes to hell when they're revealed to be an engineer, a physicist, and a mathematician. You can pretty much imagine what happens from there.
There is a similar article about this in Vanity Fair. I don't read it, my mom does, but she had it open to the article and I noticed. For all the shit that is 4Chan, I don't see why they(Vanity Fair) would have an article on him.
No, we dug the hole, but we forgot to fill it back in.
And then we installed a ladder in the hole and put a nice archway at the top
I tried visiting 4chan once, their page broke my browser (Internet Explorer 5 at the time), never went back.
This guy reminds me of John Carmack.
/v/ is the best general discussion board on the internet
:20bux: there is going to be a flamewar in this thread between /v/aginas and /b/rothas within the next 5 pages. [editline]14th March 2011[/editline]
This guy reminds me of John Carmack.
Says the person with the DOOM avatar.
/b/ is hilarious. I don't know why you guys are all hating on it.
Says the person with the DOOM avatar.
:saddowns:
They're both right in a way.
Does anyone here actually care about what moot does?
Does anyone here actually care about what moot does?
Yes.
4chan is a special place. Everything is out there in the open, from there porn habits and what speed there hand is moving to there deepest beliefs and moments. Its definitely a strange place thats for sure.
Woah, a guy this smart is responsible for creating 4chan?
Woah, a guy this smart is responsible for creating 4chan?
I'm sure some smart guys created nerve gas, nuclear bombs, and incendiary weapons.
itt: People unaware that 4Chan is more than /b/
itt: People unaware that 4Chan is more than /b/
It's like judging Facepunch based on the OIFY.
It's like judging Facepunch based on the OIFY.
Except Oify isn't really the the most visible part of Facepunch.
/sci/ apparently is pretty cool. My friend really likes it, he browses there often.
Same it gets me thinking from time to time and /a/ either makes me feel good about myself or bad when I realize I can relate.
Except Oify isn't really the the most visible part of Facepunch.
Like all metaphors it falls down under some degree of scrutiny, but you get my point.
Its a mixed bag really, just like any other website.
Like Facepunch :v:
I still love 4chan, even though I don't frequent it as much as I used to. I still find it a nice place to find raw unfiltered opinions and advice on all of lives troubles, and I still find some of the sections to be good resources when I'm in a fapping mood. I used to love /b/ too, but these days I rarely get that much enjoyment out of it anymore. It is said that /b/ was never good and I'd agree, but a wise man once said "I wouldn't say that things are worse now, but things were one hell of a lot better before".
This inspired me to write a page long rant about the importance of anonymity and how one mans lack of can affect anothers.
I like moot 'cause he's proof that a normal, bright guy with a good idea can literally change the world. How different would the internet be today without the likes of Anonymous?
Although 4Chan can be a shit-hole at times, Chris here has a good stance on this. Well TBH I don't like the 18+ boards. I enjoy /v/ and /co/
I like moot 'cause he's proof that a normal, bright guy with a good idea can literally change the world. How different would the internet be today without the likes of Anonymous?
Much less shitty memes.
I like moot 'cause he's proof that a normal, bright guy with a good idea can literally change the world. How different would the internet be today without the likes of Anonymous?
Anonymous is a fraction of what 4Chan is actually about.
Anonymous is a fraction of what 4Chan is actually about.
Obviously. Anonymous is still the brain child of his brain child.
Obviously. Anonymous is still the brain child of his brain child.
I honestly think too much credit is distributed to anonymous.
