Holy hell the debate in the House is getting heated as hell. I feel like I'm watching a House of Commons debate.
Go Obammy, whoo! :patriot:
Except for the last two years when they didn't control congress.
I know right? And they STILL got shit done.
Threaten to go to the media.
Yes give the military ultimatums that is a brilliant idea. threaten the army.
Go health care
As a juvenile Diabetic I really hope this goes through.
As a juvenile Diabetic I really hope this goes through.
No free handouts, SOCIALIST!
No free handouts, SOCIALIST!
:ohdear:
No free handouts, SOCIALIST!
Calm down.
Obamas biggest mistake was trying to be the nice guy, trying to compromise. Shoulda went in guns a blazing with a big fuck you to the GOP, get shit done while you can. That's what the GOP has done the entire time the past 8 years.
"Basically the last 8 years, I feel, the Republicans stood around farting...and the Democrats went 'Ohh let me smell'" Lewis Black So yeah pretty much
Yes because Obama should do exactly what made the last administration so shitty because you happen to agree with him this time.
I kinda wonder who is representing Pres. Obama here, its either a normal member playing it out, or someone working for white house press :v:
I kinda wonder who is representing Pres. Obama here, its either a normal member playing it out, or someone working for white house press :v:
uhh president obama doesn't have a vote in fuckong congress dude.
Yes because Obama should do exactly what made the last administration so shitty because you happen to agree with him this time.
Well yeah pretty much :smug: But really...Obama promised change and he wants to change things and the Republicans bitch about there being no change while blocking the change And yeah the Democrats have been kinda wussing out on alot of stuff
That's kinda why we have more than one party. They're supposed to oppose one another.
The abortion funding controversy pisses me off. We already have to pay taxes to fund a war we don't believe in. [editline]03:04PM[/editline]
That's kinda why we have more than one party. They're supposed to oppose one another.
Are they supposed to gridlock everything though? Nothings getting done this way. Also what really was terrible about the previous administration wasn't the way it got stuff done, rather the content. In an age of globalization they favored a nationalist individual approach towards things, which really turned the world against us.
Is the OP an actual Obama representative? :downs:
Are they supposed to gridlock everything though?
Yes.
Nothings getting done this way.
Things do get done, just not very quickly. That is the entire point. Think of it as natural selection.
I hope this bill doesn't pass. We have the best health care system in the world and he wants to screw it all up.
Yes. Things do get done, just not very quickly. That is the entire point. Think of it as natural selection.
No, if nothing is done in an instant no reform will happen. You seriously underestimate the power of the lobbies of the health insurance industry.
My god did they just get another 30 minutes of discussion time? What the fuck are they gonna finish today or next month?
Are they supposed to gridlock everything though? Nothings getting done this way. The opposing parties filter this shit out. It takes a while for anything to get through but it leads to compromise and laws that are more acceptable.
No, if nothing is done in an instant no reform will happen.
There are no words to describe how wrong you are. [editline]04:10PM[/editline]
My god did they just get another 30 minutes of discussion time? What the fuck are they gonna finish today or next month?
See this is the problem. People bitch and moan about how proper legislation takes up to a goddamn decade, but then whenever shit is passed FAST FAST FAST we get bullshit like the old 55 speed limit.
I think this law should pass because republicans are STUPID STINKY BUTTS
Of course none of you remember the goddamn two decades we spent with a national speed limit of 55 due to hysteria and populism in legislation.
Pleasepasspleasepasspleasepasspleasepass...

How can we "compromise" with profit industries that only care about making as much money as possible? Capitalism's greatest flaw is greed. I get that not every law can be forced through, but when it's something as important as healthcare reform, you cannot take it slow, simply because the companies will take advantage of this to destroy any momentum. The public was totally for reform. Now that time has dragged on, the public has turned, just because of retarded media advertising. The public has no clue what is really going on. The longer things go, the less likely any change is to happen.
Oh you're one of those people
