i dont think its because it's sony, it's because their security has been an easy target over the past month or so, it would of happened to anyone else if their security was this bad
All things considered I'm still impressed with Sony. I've had to reset my PSN sign-in because it's for an old, expired e-mail and when I e-mailed support they were very quick to respond and the response wasn't a generic robot response.
Their security might suck, but that doesn't make the PSP/PS3 any worse. And the NGP will still be great. Let this be a lesson to big companies that internet security is a priority though.

Whatever man Power Rangers will always be kick ass
that werent properly protected by sony
Why would Sony have to give their protection to their internet service provider? It's a completely different company.
At first I thought it kind of funny to see Sony's ass getting kicked. Now I'm starting to feel bad for them.
I can't say they didn't bring it on to themselves. They really did fuck up.
I just hope other companies learn from Sony's mistake and don't pull the same shit.
the method of intrusion differed from that of the PSN hack
What, you mean that that method would still work and hasn't been patched on their other systems?
You do realise that hackers have more than one way of getting into shit, right?
Also, use fucking Captcha. Please.
I said before that I'm never buying another Sony product with internet connection. Fuck that, I'm never buying any Sony product ever again at all.
What's pretty funny is, I almost bought stuff on PSN today. But their store was closed.
man Sony has no good luck at all.
It's not necessarily a hack, it was a program that would guess passwords.
