Thousands gather around capital to oppose healthcare bill

People are fucking retarded, chances are, they don't even know what the details of the bill are and this "labeling" presidents as Nazis bullshit is getting old.
Obama's a nazi because he doesn't want people to die from preventable diseases.
Obama is Irl-trollin' some conservatives. I like it :buddy:
This goddamnit. These people need to stop holding us back.

Right now healthcare is a business. And the goal of a business is to make money, even if that means you get ripped off. Then you have to choose, your health, or your wealth.
Nobody should have to choose that.
90% of the people shitting bricks about health care didn't know ANYTHING about it before Obama decided to use it as his spear head to get him elected.
Want to know another fact? A company or person is MUCH more likely to do their job properly if money is involved, just look at all of the systems ran by the government , like the welfare system, do you REALLY want your health care ran by THAT?
The reason health care works in other countries is because the other countries are smaller and their governments are more efficient, U.S government is only getting bigger and even harder to manage, which is the LAST thing we need when you consider how they can't do anything right as it stands.
I mean, look, we are giving out stimulus money to make turtle tunnels and study the sex habits of college freshmen instead of putting that money into realistic business and jobs.
No, Obama isn't the anti-christ like Glen-Beck or Rush will be more than happy to tell you, but he is at best incompetent. At worst, he got elected because it was just a huge popularity contest where everyone was too busy trying to get the first black man in office instead of looking at which candidate would do better as president.
I might add that is a totally fucking stupid thing to do, "Hey here is a good idea, lets vote a political virgin into office when our country is in the middle of a really bad recession because he is "hip" and has a cool two-tone campaign poster! :downs:"
Obama is Irl-trollin' some conservatives. I like it :buddy:
stupid
but that's not true. Many people with radical ideologies have been massively successful in the past.
The founding fathers, for example. And The republican party when it was first formed (Lincoln's republican party, not the tyrannical medusa it is today), and MLK
w/ founding fathers: revolution doesn't really apply, because they created a new institution for the new govt. (there was also a war)
w/ the republican party: tbh I don't remember many radical ideologies with the beginning of the republicans, I just remember that they wanted to free the slaves. Don't remember what else they wanted (there was also a war about a few years after their party formed)
w/ MLK yeah you're correct (but Malcom X was considerably more radical and his campaign was largely unsuccessful)
the only thing I can really think of to counter this is that they were completely socially revolutionary, and were much larger issues than the ones we face today. They appear to be outliers, and there are outliers for everything
you're accusing extremism as unproductive, but then you say 'fuck the bourgeoisie'
not that i disagree, but i'm sure many people would consider you extremist
I don't mean fuck the bourgeoisie as in they all need to die I mean fuck the bourgeoisie in that they're not the focus of American society, that they don't need to be helped and can afford to help others. Except a large amount of the upper middle class separate themselves from lower middle class and the working class and actually see them as lesser beings
zero dollars
because that's a loony idea that loony conservatives like to daydream about
aahah
So they're actually voting on it?
So if it goes through is that it or does it still have to go through the Senate or something? I'm ignorant of US political inner-workings.
And anyway of telling if it'll go through or not? Like a poll of how many of the Reps support it?

government do not need to make a profit in their healthcare system. do you want the police force to be run by a private company? how about national defense, sewer systems, infrastructural programs, and everything else run by the government to be turned into a business looking to make a profit?
i didnt think so
Thousands? More like A thousand...
funded by conservative activist groups.

The police force, sewer systems, and other every day branches that you mentioned are ran on a state level, not by the federal government.
And where do you think the money comes from to pay for health care buddy? Tax payer dollars, there is no incentive to do well because the tax payers can't stop paying their taxes and switch to a different provider if the entire system is poorly conceived and completely inefficient.
Everyone has the right to have their own opinion no matter how stupid and idiotic it is.
And I have the right to have the opinion that they should fuck off.
Then you and republicans have a lot in common.

Not really, Republicans are pretty god awfully horrid.
Boba Fett comes in, sings the theme music of the Republican party as it lays dying.
sorry that you are human filth
actually i'm not sorry
Notice how there isn't one black guy in that crowd.
Bunch of old white ass republican fucks.

they are run by the government.
there is an incentive to do well are you dense - the people will vote and elect new people to control the government if they are unhappy with the job they are doing.
they can switch to a different provider, the private companies are not going anywhere, if anything it just adds some more competition into the market which is good for the market.
[editline]06:25PM[/editline]
you have public schools, and private schools
public mailing, and fedex/UPS
government competition into the healthcare market will be a good thing for the healthcare consumer.

great post
they are run by the government.
Yea, state government.
State government is not equal to federal government.

Look at all the other piss-poor managed programs ran by federal government, if it starts out poorly done, chances are it is going to stay that way for a LONG time.
You are still going to pay the taxes to pay for the health care you aren't using.
you have public schools, and private schools
That would explain why our education system sucks dick and public students are struggling to stay in the middle area in comparison to other countries.
public mailing, and fedex/UPS
Fed ex and UPS are private companies, and public mailing is slow.
That would explain why our education system sucks dick and public students are struggling to stay in the middle area in comparison to other countries.
wait wait wait
so, public schooling is terrible because our public schools cannot keep up to the public schools of other countries?
what kind of logic is that?
wait wait wait

You reap what you sow, you don't think our education system is struggling because teachers aren't paid enough do you?
And you might be misunderstanding me, I'm saying compared to other students of the same grade from other countries, ours get pounded in pretty much every area.
I really don't want to hear anything more about the tea party movement. How the hell can you liken Obama to Hitler?
Also, no one had ever taken the time to consider the benefits of socialized 'anything'.
Yea, state government.
State government is not equal to federal government.
its still the government. what about the military? homeland security and border patrol? the FBI, CIA, NSA?

the federal government does the jobs that no one else wants to do. if you can make a profit out of it, or it was easy, someone would already be doing it. to trash the federal government for trying to make programs that are beneficial to the populace is ignorant and unfair.
You are still going to pay the taxes to pay for the health care you aren't using.
you pay taxes for a lot of things you dont use, that are necessary for the good of the populace. taxes subsidize corn which i don't believe is good and taxes pay for nuclear weapons which i don't believe in but you still pay taxes.
That would explain why our education system sucks dick and public students are struggling to stay in the middle area in comparison to other countries.
uhhh the socialist countries have the best education system in the world, their government runs everything
Fed ex and UPS are private companies, and public mailing is slow.
public mailing deals with pretty much 80% of the mail and I know that fed ex and ups are private companies thats why i mentioned them in the first place

I'm going to keep my on this thread to see if this gets any better.
Holy shit, people need to get it through their fat heads that there is nothing wrong with Universal Healthcare.
I mean shit, some of the best health care in the world (Most European countries like Germany, France, and the Baltic Countries) use an universal system.
there ARE cons to universal healthcare, but we aren't proposing universal healthcare, we're just proposing a public option.
also its a universal system not an for future reference
sorry that you are human filth
actually i'm not sorry
That wasn't a nice thing to call Trotsky.
So you're justifying the wasteful spending of my money on those who have nothing better to do then get drunk?
you're not even old enough to pay taxes
And you have Allen Greyson, Nancy Pelosi, Hilary Clinton, and Micheal Moore.
so?
At least they don't think Obama is a Muslim communist racist and defend a dying ideal.
Let me quote H.P Lovecraft
As for the Republicans—how can one regard seriously a frightened, greedy, nostalgic huddle of tradesmen and lucky idlers who shut their eyes to history and science, steel their emotions against decent human sympathy, cling to sordid and provincial ideals exalting sheer acquisitiveness and condoning artificial hardship for the non-materially-shrewd, dwell smugly and sentimentally in a distorted dream-cosmos of outmoded phrases and principles and attitudes based on the bygone agricultural-handicraft world, and revel in (consciously or unconsciously) mendacious assumptions (such as the notion that real liberty is synonymous with the single detail of unrestricted economic license or that a rational planning of resource-distribution would contravene some vague and mystical ‘American heritage’…) utterly contrary to fact and without the slightest foundation in human experience? Intellectually, the Republican idea deserves the tolerance and respect one gives to the dead.
Letter to C.L. Moore, August 1936 quoted in “H.P. Lovecraft, a Life” by S.T. Joshi, p. 574

Private healthcare is just fucking disgusting. Paying money to save your own life?
Well technically you pay money all the time to get saved some other time.
But it's a HUGE difference between paying some Wallstreet private company some money so that they MIGHT give you something when you need it, or giving it to a company run by the government that only exists to help.
I mean basically you pay other peoples medical bills but that's not the point, they pay for YOU if you need it.
The police force, sewer systems, and other every day branches that you mentioned are ran on a state level, not by the federal government.
State GOVERNMENT
perhaps you forget you pay state taxes too.
And where do you think the money comes from to pay for health care buddy? Tax payer dollars, there is no incentive to do well because the tax payers can't stop paying their taxes and switch to a different provider if the entire system is poorly conceived and completely inefficient.
Like it's easy to switch healthcare plans.
Worst country on the fucking planet. Why am I in it?
