At least they don't think Obama is a Muslim communist racist and defend a dying ideal.

And Grayson is... wrong?
It's because the people who pay the most taxes are the ones who already have private healthcare and are least likely to benefit from this. Why, apart from human compassion, should someone support and pay for a system that reaps no rewards? Ironically, the side who believes this is supposedly the more Christian and devout side.
Also, whilst private healthcare is shown to be better than public healthcare, any healthcare is better than none when tragedy strikes.
unless, of course, those 45,000 people that die a year are are conspiring against the right.
and the girl who was raped and it considered a pre-existing condition.

Of course he is.
Republicans could never say something like that about Liberals either.
Remember the whole "You lie!" incident? Imagine if he had said something as bold as what Mr. Grayson said.
i hate republicans
Worst country on the fucking planet. Why am I in it?
Okay go to Somalia or Ethiopia or Yemen or China or North Korea
please, go. we don't want you to be unhappy in our so terrible country.
Not really, Republicans are pretty god awfully horrid.
Boba Fett comes in, sings the theme music of the Republican party as it lays dying.
What about me...
Also, whilst private healthcare is shown to be better than public healthcare, any healthcare is better than none when tragedy strikes.
um not it really hasn't. i don't count people dying from preventable diseases and sicknesses because it isn't profitable to help them, as 'better'.
What about me...
No one cares about you

:smithicide:
Private healthcare buys all the best physicians while public healthcare gets what's left over. Indeed, the profit-centered mentality is a double-edged sword but if you do get onto the operating table, your chances are better with a private insurer.
You can still be a receiver of public healthcare when you've bought private.
also it's pretty obvious who has won the arguments itt if anyone wants to present a valid argument instead of posting like boba_fett, be my guest

impossible, America is the only free country on earth.
I hate it when people say the only alternative to America is third world countries

and what, it's not possible for public healthcare to offer the best staff more incentives to work for the public system?

Great in theory, but it would never get passed in an American Congress.
Great in theory, but it would never get passed in an American Congress.
public healthcare or offering more incentives?
Private healthcare buys all the best physicians while public healthcare gets what's left over. Indeed, the profit-centered mentality is a double-edged sword but if you do get onto the operating table, your chances are better with a private insurer.
you are entirely wrong
in a public only system, the doctors are all with the public system.
in a private only system, the doctors are all with the private system.
in a private with public option, the doctors are split across the two. the private healthcare may advertise that it has better more expensive doctors but thats not necessarily true and every doctor will be able to treat you.
and there is not a big problem with total public healthcare in waiting times, and in a big country like the USA yeah it might be an issue but if around half go public and half private, it will just be an inconvenience.
Great in theory, but it would never get passed in an American Congress.
That's how the NHS and other countries operate and they do far more better then the US
Great in theory, but it would never get passed in an American Congress.
yeah because both sides are too stubborn to compromise and realize whats best for the American people.
but public doctors would get incentives, like government benefits and about equal pay (reasonably)

You post a source from a far right website that shows a video about fox news
there is no such thing as a health care lottery in Canada.
Not a single Canadian I know has heard of a lottery system.
Wow, I thought you were stupid, but this pretty much confirms it.

The point is, their healthcare is sometimes limited. In a democratic society, shouldn't we be able to pursue what makes us happy? Perhaps we decided to spend our money ensuring that you have good healthcare and good doctors. Perhaps you don't.

what?
[editline]03:20AM[/editline]
I think being able to access health care without getting sacked with charges and denial of coverage would make me happy.
But should a unemployed, welfare living fatass get the same coverage as the rich hardworking businessman?
