i still haven't gotten an exact quote where i'm defending people who don't vaccinate
Can you read?
yeah
what i'm seeing are posts where i'm attacking your dumbass views that people who don't vaccinate their kids should be put in concentration camps
I have spent the better of 20 minutes trying to formulate my opinion into words,
but the amount of bigotry here is leaving me speechless.

If calling people out on their bullshit masquerading behind religion and personal beliefs, I guess I'm quite proud to be one.

Oh look, reposting found me the original "stick in a camp" quote.
come on man all i want is an exact quote where i'm defending people who don't vaccinate
why is it so hard for you to find one, if you're so entrenched in your view that i'm defending them?

Can't see how you're not, considering all the effort you've put in posting on this thread. I'd certainly say you're defending their right to do it (or not do it).
fyi there's a difference between attacking a viewpoint and defending the opposing viewpoint
fyi there's a difference between attacking a viewpoint and defending the opposing viewpoint
Well you were defending it.
oh cool, do you have an exact quote this time?

Reading between the lines, you heavily were.
Even a idiot couldn't miss it.
So at best you're bad at formulating yourself, and at worst backpedalling at the speed of sound.
was i? because i'm pretty sure i was attacking daniel's bullshit
the only one of my posts there that i could easily read as defending is "a sick kid isn't the end of the world" and that's because i was imagining the flu or some shit, but then he whipped out the polio card

Just quit while you're behind man.
way to handwave my entire post
Good. Prevents children that are refused vaccination by their dumb parents from giving others the flu or anything else
But how would they give the flu to someone that's vaccinated?
But how would they give the flu to someone that's vaccinated?
They'll still get sick, they'll just be able to fight it easily. They'll also still carry the disease so they'll help further spread it.
Not sure if this is in topic but as humankind starts to use more and more vaccinations and antibiotics or whatnot, we just start to get more and more (naturally) prone to diseases. Then after a while we will NEED vaccinations and antibiotics to simply live.

Antibiotics yes, vaccines no. Vaccination kills out diseases, it's a very good thing.
Antibiotics yes, vaccines no. Vaccination kills out diseases, it's a very good thing.
Vaccinations don't kill diseases. They simply introduce an inert strain of the disease so your body becomes aware of how to fight it.

They make you immune to the disease so the disease cannot spread in your body. If the disease can't spread in anyone anymore, it goes extinct.
They make you immune to the disease so the disease cannot spread in your body. If the disease can't spread in anyone anymore, it goes extinct.
But they don't make you immune.
They make your immune system aware of the potential threat so that it can be fought off before it becomes a legitimate threat to your health.
And since it allows your body to fight it off before it becomes anything major it wont be able to spread.
So both of us are correct, just in different ways.
-snip- wrong thread hahaha.
But to add to this thread now I am here:
People have forgotten what it was like before we had vaccines. How horrible the diseases that we have pretty much now wiped out were at the time they existed and how futile it was to try and help people with them. The notion that we will be susceptible to more diseases or vaccines are too great a risk for creating disorders like autism etc. is misguided. Even if vaccines caused autism and made us susceptible, they are still highly valuable because the alternative to not having them is like a horrible dystopian alternate history.

The disease dies off because it can no longer easily spread. Vaccines kill off diseases.
The disease dies off because it can no longer easily spread. Vaccines kill off diseases.
Yes. But the vaccine itself doesn't kill the disease, your body does.
The vaccine just allows for your body to be prepared for the chance of infection.
