I hope this doesn't cause that 1 USD = 1 Euro bullshit to happen to some of the countries
1 $ = 1 NOK YES PLEASE
11 dollars for Cod10.
Whoo, NZD!
Now I'll be able to be ripped off in my own currency
Well the good news is that I talked to a dev to had access to setting prices, for 19.99 USD the converted rate is 23.99 NZD, which is more or less the correct exchange rate but that also means it's less than paying in USD since we'd pay the conversion fee if it was USD before. So we're not getting ripped off.
For anyone asking about other currencies, I don't know at this time since I only asked about NZD
I guess I'm fortunate not to have ever had to deal with this.

Publishers decide what the prices should be, so it won't be exactly like that for every game out there.

I'm aware of that, but it's the default conversation rate that matters since hopefully most devs/pubs won't increase the price.
A-a-and the poor side of Europe is still getting shafted with the prices. Cheers, Valve.
What about Swedish Krona (SEK)? :c
Norwegians are worth more then us lowly swedes.
At least their currency is.
Isn't it more that sweden is part of the EU, so converting to EUR ads no cost to you? It certainly doesn't cost me anything to buy in eur with my czk account.
Bummer, I was hoping for PLN since our currency is so shit.
when are they going to fix the 1 eur:1 dollar problem though
That's completely up to the publishers, Valve don't decide on the prices of games, they just take their cut from whatever price the publisher sets it at. Some games on Steam currently use the 1$ = 1€ exchange rate, some are fairly priced, some are actually cheaper in EU prices and then you even have some games that cost like 10$/20€ for some inexplicable reason.

Check the top ripoffs and top savings categories, shit just doesn't make sense.
And still British prices are the best
what about Zimbabwean dollars???
Icelandic Krona pls
At least it's quite good for the japanese for being able to pay in Yens, right?
Woo, Norwegian Kroner! Now I can pay 1.6 times of what I usually pay on steam!
Will this make my pseudo-steam wallet card cheaper? (look spoilers for detail)
[sp]In my country, there is a thing that we called it Unipin. Its available at nearly everywhere. You convert IDR to Unipin Credit in 1:1, then you go to their website and buy steam wallet. The problem is that $5 costs about 80k UC. Such a ripoff, but its the only way we could buy steam wallet without credit card. Hopefully this move will make internet cafes in my country sell steam wallet cards [/sp]
I hope this has at least some change to Australian prices. There's games on Steam (IIRC one of the old CoD games, MW1 maybe?) that is $20 USD in America, and priced at $80 USD in Australia, which at some times the conversion can knock that up to near $100
cool, cant wait to pay 10% more
I remember back in the good old days when USD was the only Steam currency. The conversion rate at the time was two dollars to the pound so every game was constantly on the cheap for us Brits.
I just remember when Valve converted to Euros and everyone was like "1EURO IS NOT EQUAL 1 US DOLLAR YOU FUCKWADS GG VALVE".
I wish they'd introduce shekels. My Israeli friends don't like paying more for games.
Woah, didn't expect PHP to be up there
You introduce Norwegian money but not Swedish money? wtf steam not cool.
Valve still thinks we use the euro I bet.
Australian Dollar (AUD) – Expected to release mid-September
Yay! Wait, I forgot about the "Australian Tax", so much for 20 dollar games.

There is a reason though, taxes. We pay more for games but we get more shit from the union, governments and shit, I prefer it this way tbh.
Same for the PS4/XBone price, where 1$ = 1€

The EU and the Eurozone are two different things, if a country is in the Eurozone it'll use Euros, while in the EU it can use whatever it wants as a currency.

aww yiss, while new games were $80 here they were like $40 max on steam
Finally Canadian Dollars !
