Hey what about the Argentina peso. Lots of people here. Blizz did it. Pls.
They put in Norwegian crowns, but not danish or swedish?
Bummer, I was hoping for PLN since our currency is so shit.
Same here.
Odd, whenever I buy a game, I pay for it using CAD but its always the exact same price in USD. A $4.99 game will be just that, only taking $4.99 from my bank.
Still no Swiss francs. :/
Not the end of the world though, swiss francs are valued pretty close to the american dollar currency so the conversion rate isn't that sharp
aww yiss, while new games were $80 here they were like $40 max on steam
It doesn't seem like as big of a deal now that we've got massive sales and daily deals, but back then getting half price on every purchase was so great. It was a real kick in the nuts when they introduced local currencies.
Was hoping for Argentinian Pesos since any purchases in dollars overseas come with a 35% tax (+3% if you live in the capital) but I'm probably one of a dozen people who actually buy games from steam here.
Will this make my pseudo-steam wallet card cheaper? (look spoilers for detail) [sp]In my country, there is a thing that we called it Unipin. Its available at nearly everywhere. You convert IDR to Unipin Credit in 1:1, then you go to their website and buy steam wallet. The problem is that $5 costs about 80k UC. Such a ripoff, but its the only way we could buy steam wallet without credit card. Hopefully this move will make internet cafes in my country sell steam wallet cards [/sp]
I'm glad I knew about Steam Wallet card redistributors here.
I have a pal in Vietnam, he says that about 21,000 of his currency equals one dollar. Here's hoping they add VND support in future.
I never knew New Zealand has it's own currency. I assumed it had the same as Australia.
Looks like we Norwegian people will be fucked over big time.

There's heaps of people here in Argentina, specifically Buenos Aires, that buy stuff on Steam. My brother, me and our 12-so combined argie Steam friends. Buy stuff mostly on sales though.

All these currency problems are the reason I purchase all my games in USD, while living in the EU. Websites as http://dlcompare.com and http://kinguin.net always provide cheaper keys and never had any problem with any of the games I bought there. Valve says that those keys are illegal to be bought there but I assume they say it so you purchase more in the Steam store. They can't see if the keys came from those websites, plus if Valve really has any real issues with those websites, they wouldn't be up as of now.
I wish they'd introduce shekels. My Israeli friends don't like paying more for games.
Otherwise known as NIS, by the way, but I can understand the appeal of the circlejerk. This is very good news for Steam users.

No love for PLN
Not the end of the world though, swiss francs are valued pretty close to the american dollar currency so the conversion rate isn't that sharp
But Steam makes us pay in Euro, not in USD.
Still no PLN, OH FUCKING WELL It's not like I mind paying two/three times as much as I otherwise would literally everywhere else
59.96 That's an amazing save of cash right here.
The developers set the prices for each currency so blame them :v:
Steam is probably the most expensive game platform out there, unless something is on sale. It's cheaper for me to buy physical copies, and register those to steam where possible.
After 11 years in development, hopefully it has been worth the weight.
Fixed
But I want to pay in glorious Złotówki!
Steam is probably the most expensive game platform out there, unless something is on sale. And Russia gets it cheaper than everyone else it seems.
SEK pls I am unbelieveably tired of having to pay extra because Steam just changes the currency sign next to the number in regards to € and $
59.96 That's an amazing save of cash right here.
After buying the game you can even post your 2 cents about it and be left with 1 cent to save for your retirement! ITS A STEAL
No Dong? I guess I'll take m millions of Dongs elsewhere.
After buying the game you can even post your 2 cents about it and be left with 1 cent to save for your retirement! ITS A STEAL
"My centiments"
After reading the title, I thought Valve was making their own new currencies, like gabucks or something.
