Saw the trailer. Other than looking a bit like a shitty FTP FPS art style wise, I'm really excited and have high hopes for this.
How come the 360 is being left out again?
Because Microsoft.

Are you sure you were watching the right video? Because most shitty FTP FPS games don't have anywhere near the visual quality of CS: GO. Or a decent looking interface too.
But the viewmodels do need a lot of work from what I saw, still, they have enough time to re-work the worst of them.
I find it amazing that every single thread about two platforms, genres or series turns into a massive nerd fight in this forum. There is not exception.
That's every forum ever. Criticism of FP is stupid.

I hope they make this "l33t" terrorist from 1.5 as look-a-like as possible in the new, enhanced CS:GO.
Am I the only one that felt this game looked a little "Free-To-Play" like? I'm not trying to make a price prediction (but that would be awesome).
It's probably that the only FPSes I've seen without iron-sights since the last Counter-Strike have been F2P games.
But I don't mean it to be criticizm.
Am I the only one who thinks that this is going to come out for the Playstation Vita?
Valve has been saying that the Playstation Vita is the best looking portable in a long time, the title is abbreviated to "GO", and even though all interviewers have been saying "Global Offensive", Gabe keeps responding with "GO" as it's pronounced, 'go'. Maybe the acronym is suggesting that it's a portable game, eh? Another thing is the fact that Sony and Valve have been getting along quite well recently, and Valve said they had plans for the Vita, as well as mobile development in general.
Anybody else thinking this might be a possible route?

That's mainly due to them trying to ride of the popularity of CS. And because it is a shit ton easier to get your code monkeys to spew out a arcade shooter with minimal functions like CS has.

When you put it like that, it does seem like a possibility. And the Vita is more than capable of running the game with decent visuals. Making it a bit more attractive for Valve to develop I'd say.

Also, cross-platform gaming is quite rare, I'm glad Valve took this decision, it might be fun after all. If Microsoft won't allow Steamworks, well, whatever, we have PS3.
Because Microsoft.

Yeah, I was.

It looks nice, but doesn't seem anything like CS:S and it seems to have adopted the cartoonish FTP FPS look.
Still, very excited.
i don't know even know what this means yet and i'm supposedly educated.
you move your hand slowly, the cursor/aim moves slowly, move it quickly it moves faster
move your finger slowly, the cursor/aim moves slowly, and vice-versa.
want to change speed? push the stick! it's not a difficult concept yet for some reason it's too much of a daunting task
NO!
Look, you're not listening. The analog stick does not move as fast as you move, it has to speed up first. Play halo2 right now or something and you'll understand what I mean.
Sony + Valve = Steamstation? "PS4"
How are PS3 players going to surf oh God
How are PS3 players going to surf oh God
Plug in a kbm?
How are PS3 players going to surf oh God
Highly doubt there would be mods for PS3/360. Unless Valve is even more awesome and allows mods cross-platform.
I forsee PC players acting like elitist dicks to anyone playing on a PS3.
If theres one thing the PC gaming community hates its anyone who isn't part of the glorious 'takes videogames seriously' market.
Highly doubt there would be mods for PS3/360. Unless Valve is even more awesome and allows mods cross-platform.
Actually yeah nvm consoles can only do 5v5 matchmaking LOL
KBM is supported on PS3, I even used a keyboard to type in some stuff when making a PSN account, plug and play. Just don't expect elaborate software drivers, just whatever your peripherals have preloaded.
[editline]26th August 2011[/editline]
IT'S NOT HARD GUYS PS3 GETS MATCHMAKING AND WITH THE PC YOU EITHER PLAY MATCHMAKING OR JUST STANDARD CS:S STYLE SERVER BROWSER.
/caps.

Don't act like it's one sided, PS3 fanboys will also be elitists.
The grenade viewmodel.
That's all I have to say about this so far.
Did you even read the thread? Or look at the OP ratings? Or anything?
Also thisispain, you are trying too hard, I don't know why you come here when you despise FP and everything about it, and have the opposite of everyone's else opinions on purpose, but seriously, stop being such a post whore. I usually try to avoid being a complete ass like this, but jesus just stop.
So people can't have different opinions?
Hope it will have auto-platform balancing (detect platforms and balance between CT and T so that there won't be all-PC players on T or CT)
Like PS3 users are going to all do that.
Have you played UT3 on PS3? I hear A LOT of people use the Mouse and keyboard on the PS3 version.
[editline]28th August 2011[/editline]
Also, how the hell will I be able to use my headset if I am using a mouse and keyboard? Damn I wish there was a back USB like the Xbox atleast.
So people can't have different opinions?
Opinions which conflict with the will of the party are thought crime and shall not go unpunished.

get a hub???
Guys:
You can use mouse and keyboard on the PS3 version.
Do they think that solves the problem completely? I don't think I should have to play with different controls just to have a fair fight in a game.

What else do you want then? Aim assist?
Fuck that, there's a name for that in PC gaming, its called an aimbot.
I know Facepunch is about as PC-biased as it gets, but trust me when I say that many console gamers are just as good, if not better than their PC counterparts.
Though for the record a mouse will always be better than an analog stick.
Sharpening my CS:S skills now.
[editline]28th August 2011[/editline]
Wait I have like a year
It's still gonna be no contest, the diehards who have been playing for years will absolutely dominate the even best PS3 players no matter the peripherals.
Also I don't see how you expect to support a claim like that considering how different the controls handle on each system.
