the people stood and watch as he cut her head off? they're as bad as him
If I saw someone's head getting cut off, I would be too shocked to do anything. This isn't something you see everyday after all.
This is stuff you'd only think existed in the movies.

This isn't something you see everyday after all.
Plus attacking a guy with a knife in somebodies neck is a bad enough idea, even if you do pin him down you can't just pull the knife out and the bleeding magically stops, assuming the artery got cut she would have bled out pretty quickly, if it hadn't been cut yet wiggling a knife around inside her neck isn't a good method of preventing it
Haha oh god, I'm going there in a month. If you don't hear from me after after then, I demand you find my head and attach it to my body backwards to fuck up everyone at the burial.
I know that mall. My mom is about that age AND she's in Los Cristianos at the moment... Dunno what else to say. [editline]13th May 2011[/editline] She just said they were there and she saw the covered head.
Isn't it like, really difficult to cut off a head? And if so, how did he do it without anyone stopping him?
If it's serrated it isn't that hard. I've seen it been done with a pen knife before.
Isn't it like, really difficult to cut off a head? And if so, how did he do it without anyone stopping him?
would you be willing to go up and try and disarm him?
the people stood and watch as he cut her head off? they're as bad as him
Call me a wuss, but I would be a little hesitant to attack a guy who is in the middle of cutting someone's head off for absolutely no reason.
British woman killed by a Bulgarian man in Chineese market in Spain. :psyduck:
You can't make this shit up.
the people stood and watch as he cut her head off? they're as bad as him
There's a video of this girls ex boyfriend stabbing her in the middle of the street and everyone just watches. A few people try to get him off her but he thrashes at them. Eventually he's dragged off her and she recovers, but it took a while. Point is, it takes serious balls to attack someone wielding a knife and not many people have those balls.
It's so rife with strife in Tenerife
I've seen decapitations, and it's not like you can cut through the spine with a single stroke of a butcher knife. Either this guy was juicing, or nobody thought to do anything. Can't blame them, I'd probably be too stunned to think of grabbing another knife. Damn, no studies on this. Looks like I've got some research to fund when I get the dosh
"I meant a head of LETTUCE dammit!" or "Clean up on aisle five" I'm not sure which to go with here
"I meant a head of LETTUCE dammit!" or "Clean up on aisle five" I'm not sure which to go with here
You should go with "Get the fuck out"

This is scary considering I am going on holiday there soon :(
my 60 year old driving instructor went to tenerife a few days ago...damn I hope she isn't dead
Isn't it like, really difficult to cut off a head? And if so, how did he do it without anyone stopping him?
The man was cutting someone's head off. Would you risk it?
Oh noes, someone was able to acquire a legally-ownable knife and kill someone with it. Let's ban all knives, they have no practical value except for killing people.
Isn't it like, really difficult to cut off a head? And if so, how did he do it without anyone stopping him?
Unless it was a friggin' lightsaber, yes, it takes a bit of effort to behead someone with ordinary store cutlery. People seem to be really indifferent these days, the whole "Not happening to me, not my problem" mindset that plagues this and recent generations. I think it has something to do with the moral decline and loose living since then.
Spanish media reported that witnesses saw the man enter a Chinese supermarket at the Valdes Shopping Centre and, without saying a word, attacked the woman with a knife, cutting her head off.
whaaaattttt how? what was the time table? just what the fuck is going on here
I won't beheading to Tenerife any time soon.
I was telling my sister about this earlier today, and I couldn't but giggle, then I felt really bad.
Oh now that we know she's British it's not funny anymore.

It's horrible but I guess you can cut someone's head off pretty quickly. The first instinct is to be confused, and then flee. I would like to think I would have at least gone back and started throwing things at the guy to try to get him to stop, but by then it would probably have been too late. I would be too scared to get close enough to wrestle with him, but you can probably knock someone out with a large tin of ham. I've seen a lot of sick shit on the internet, but that was probably the most terrible thing I have ever seen in my life. I don't think I'll ever be able to forget the sounds he made while they were hacking his head off.
The woman has been named: http://uk.news.yahoo.com/british-woman-decapitated-tenerife-034518045.html
Jennifer Mills-Westley who was stabbed and decapitated in Tenerife was "generous of heart" and "would do anything for anyone", her family have said. The 60-year-old Briton was attacked in a supermarket in the town of Los Cristianos on the island on Friday. Her daughter Sarah said in a statement that the family were devastated. "Mum retired a number of years ago and was fully enjoying her retirement travelling between Tenerife and France where she spent time visiting her daughter and grandchildren, and her other daughter in Norfolk," she said. "She was full of life, generous of heart, would do anything for anyone. "We now have to find a way of living without her love and light and we would ask at this difficult time for some privacy as we try to come to terms with our loss." Bulgarian Deyan Valentinov was arrested by Spanish police on suspicion of Ms Mills-Westley's murder. The 28-year-old is reportedly homeless and has a history of mental health issues as well as a police record. According to local newspaper La Opinion, Valentinov had received treatment at the psychiatric unit of a local hospital in February after being involved in previous violent incidents. British Foreign Office officials have offered their condolences to Ms Mills-Westley's family. Spanish media reported that witnesses saw the man enter a Chinese supermarket at the Valdes Shopping Centre and without saying a word, attacked Ms Mills-Westley with a knife and then cut off her head. A regional government spokeswoman said the killer is understood to have obtained a knife from inside the store to launch his attack. Colin Kirby, of tenerifemagazine.com witnessed the event. He told Sky News: "It was all a bit surreal. I was heading past the commercial centre and saw a group of people by the entrance and a medical guy going in form the health centre. "I assumed someone had fainted, walked on, and then I could hear screaming and shouting. "I glanced behind me and a guy was ambling down the street holding what I assumed to be a joke head, by the hair." Mr Kirby said security guards chased the man, eventually managing to bring him down and restrain him. "The guy did not seem completely right to me - he was a bit dishevelled, not particularly smart and as he was walking with the head he was muttering. It was a bizarre scene." Manuel Reveron, a councillor for citizen security, said: "Apparently, this gentleman, without any motive or any reason, entered the shop and then cut this woman's neck and took the head in his hand outside up to the sidewalk. "Then the security guard was able to throw him on the ground and we covered the macabre (sight)." Los Cristianos is a bustling tourist town on the southern tip of the island and is home to many British ex-pats. It mainly attracts older visitors with its artificial beaches and fishing harbour where pleasure cruises and diving excursions depart.
It gets worse: http://beta.uk.news.yahoo.com/british-woman-decapitated-tenerife-034518045.html Decapitated Woman 'Had Made Plea For Help'
Jennifer Mills-Westley who was stabbed and decapitated in a supermarket in Tenerife had earlier sought refuge from her killer, it has been claimed. The 60-year-old Briton reportedly pleaded for help shortly before she was murdered in the town of Los Cristianos on Friday. The Tenerife and Canary Islands website newsinthesun.com reported eyewitnesses as saying that a tearful Ms Mills-Westley feared she was being stalked. It was claimed she entered an employment centre not far from the shopping centre and a security guard sent the man away. Minutes later she was killed. Ms Mills-Westley's family said they were devastated by the news of her death. Her daughter Sarah said in a statement: "Mum retired a number of years ago and was fully enjoying her retirement travelling between Tenerife and France where she spent time visiting her daughter and grandchildren, and her other daughter in Norfolk. "She was full of life, generous of heart, would do anything for anyone. "We now have to find a way of living without her love and light and we would ask at this difficult time for some privacy as we try to come to terms with our loss." Ms Mills-Westley, who was originally from Norwich, Norfolk, had two daughters and five grandchildren. After retiring from her job as a road safety officer with Norfolk County Council, she left Britain. Norfolk County Council issued a statement praising her warm character. "Jenny was a popular and well respected member of staff, who during her time with Norfolk County Council worked as a road safety officer working with many schools and children to teach cycling safety training and make Norfolk's roads safer," it said. Bulgarian national Deyan Valentinov D - with Spanish police only providing the first initial of his surname - has been detained on suspicion of killing Ms Mills-Westley. The 28-year-old is reportedly homeless, has a history of mental health issues and a police record. According to local newspaper La Opinion, the suspect had received treatment at the psychiatric unit of a local hospital in February after being involved in previous violent incidents. Spanish media reported that witnesses saw a man enter a Chinese supermarket at the Valdes Shopping Centre and without saying a word, attacked Ms Mills-Westley with a knife and then cut off her head. He was then said to have carried Ms Mills-Westley's head out of the shop, allegedly saying "God is on earth". A regional government spokeswoman said the killer is understood to have obtained a knife from inside the store to launch his attack. Colin Kirby, of tenerifemagazine.com, witnessed the event. It was a bizarre scene." Christina Perez, a legal representative at a nearby court, said a group of lawyers saw the man sprinting out of the store, carrying the head. "They saw the man running out of the supermarket with the head in his hands," she said. "A security man from the complex ran after him and jumped on to him so he fell, and then he threw the head on to the road." Ms Perez, 38, said her shocked and frightened colleagues ran indoors for safety and locked themselves in. A UK Foreign Office spokesman said Ms Mills-Westley's relatives were being helped by consular staff who were also liaising with the Tenerife authorities. Police are investigating the man's movements leading up to the killing and studying CCTV and witness statements to establish what happened.
