YES! I only played Witcher 3 for the first time a couple of months ago and It's hands down the best game I have played in last couple of years and exploration is fun and satisfying because the world feels so alive. Can't wait to play this, hope it's longer than HoS. Where will this take place on the map? I haven't played the first two so I didn't recognise their armours and that castle. Is this the Toussaint people keep talking about? If so why is it so significant to Geralt?
Toussaint is a duchy within Nilfgaard, and the castle matches the description of Beauclair, it's capital city. A big chunk of the fifth novel takes place here so Geralt and in particular Dandelion has some history with the place. Fringilla Vigo also played a part here, though I believe the game glossary only mentioned the romance.
Still playing Witcher 1 but its starting to become a drag
Still playing Witcher 1 but its starting to become a drag
Yeah I couldn't play Witcher 1 too long either, It hasn't aged that well and the whole stance mechanic was a bit annoying.

RPG wise it's interesting, but the gameplay was pretty lacking, even for it's time. I remember dropping it about half-way when I first played it since it felt incredibly tedious. Witcher 2 was a massive jump in quality.
the witcher 1 is a great game and youre terrible if you dont like it or havent played it. its also the game closest to the books in atmosphere and writing. the combat is fine. they tried something new, it wasn't as good as one might have hoped but i sure never mind it when i play?
Didn't mind witcher 1 thought was pretty good when bought at release but It takes long to get going as the first 3 acts are rather slow.
to be fair though you can download a mod that increases runspeed by 25 or 40% in the witcher 1, which is perfectly fine and frankly my largest complaint, that he runs a bit slow otherwise.
Still playing Witcher 1 but its starting to become a drag
The first two chapters drag a bit, but once your through that slog, your golden.
a lot but Witcher 3 respects every minute of your time
That's why I've barely touched the story and only done side quests. Unlike most other RPG's, every sidequest is actually a quest of it's own and not a painstaking chore. Each one is a story, unlike Fallout/Elder Scrolls where it's usually "Go here and kill this and come back oh ty heres a reward"

When fast is maxed out basically by the third combo or fourth the chances of any enemy surviving unless its magically shielded are zero, even on the hardest difficulty.
