-broken lol- [editline]24th January 2012[/editline]
I've handed my CV into over 60 places now and i haven't had a single call or anything from any of them. The worst part is that i know plenty of people who are also in the same situation
Might want to update your CV, that worked for me and helped me score a few interviews but persistence is the key to finding a job with job applications - eventually they'll notice you keep coming back and if they don't accept then they'll need to buy a bigger bin.
It's not as simple as that, and you know it. It was inevitable that debt would increase past £1 trillion. You have to pay interest on debt, and the sheer amount of interest we pay means we have to borrow more money to pay that interest. The part we need to be paying attention to is how much we borrow and whether it not it is increasing or decreasing. At the moment, it is decreasing: "The Government borrowed a total of £103.3 billion between April and December, which is £11.3 billion lower than the previous year." - according to your article. So, nice attempt at mis-leading people.
Yeah but no one is buying anything so the economy isn't going any where, we should have gone with labours plan.
Sure, I'm not to happy to see some of the people who use welfare and for what reasons - but getting a job isn't easy.
Yeah but no one is buying anything so the economy isn't going any where, we should have gone with labours plan.
So you've gone from trying to use scare tactics to talking about something completely unrelated... Alright, I'll bite. What exactly IS Labours plan?
Put the goddamn country name in the thread title next time. I realize this guy is retarded but I thought he was a USA retard and so got ready to launch another volley of insults at the White House.
yes of course why even go to work i say!! everyone would love to earn only £67.50 a week. that's an amazing lifestyle for absolutely nothing. and you get to go to all of those amazingly fun job search interviews and reviews. thanks david cameron, you totally aren't a shit-headed thatcherite moron.
So you've gone from trying to use scare tactics to talking about something completely unrelated... Alright, I'll bite. What exactly IS Labours plan?
They have some 5 point plan to 'kickstart the economy', which pretty much means doing what they usually do and giving out handouts including ridiculous tax cuts and building roads. They have no real plans for managing the budget and can barely work out their own finance.
Put the goddamn country name in the thread title next time. I realize this guy is retarded but I thought he was a USA retard and so got ready to launch another volley of insults at the White House.
Everybody knows Obama you should know David Cameron, I'm not cluttering up a title to excuse your ignorance.
Welfare is always abused somehow, which is why the public doesn't always approve of it. That doesn't make it any less needed by people that actually need it. It's better to go hunting for the system abusers instead of cutting down welfare in general.
I WILL SKIN HIM ALIVE AND WEAR THE SKIN TO FUCK HIS CHILD
Put the goddamn country name in the thread title next time. I realize this guy is retarded but I thought he was a USA retard and so got ready to launch another volley of insults at the White House.
Did you think we still had Tony Blair running the show or something?
is this abuse of the UK welfare system just as made up as the abuse of the US system? in the UK if you sit on your arse and don't the jobs they tell you to do, you get kicked off the program which means you are sometimes forced to do work for no pay at all. so it sounds like a load of bullshit.
How many of that 2.6million do you think is living in a council estate and has done all their life? It is a well established fact that unemployed people are content with their lives without jobs. They aren't looking for jobs.
Excuse me I am currently unemployed and I am not content and I am looking for a job. Please don't generalize.
Excuse me I am currently unemployed and I am not content and I am looking for a job. Please don't generalize.
no lambeth you don't understand it's a well established fact!
Excuse me I am currently unemployed and I am not content and I am looking for a job. Please don't generalize.
Well when the prime minister is taking action against it I think it carries some validity. Just saying.
Well when the prime minister is taking action against it I think it carries some validity. Just saying.
How does that make it any better
Well when the prime minister is taking action against it I think it carries some validity. Just saying.
no and he's not taking action, he's just opening his mouth before his PR person could lunge and close it for him.
2.62 million unemployed people Around 500,000 jobs currently How many of that 2.6million do you think is living in a council estate and has done all their life? It is a well established fact that unemployed people are content with their lives without jobs. They aren't looking for jobs. There's something like 2-3% of people claiming benefits longer than 6 months; it doesn't take 6 months to get a job. Plenty of jobs for people. Go get them. How is it stupid? Could you explain instead of throwing baseless insults?
You really have no clue, do you? It took me nearly 8 months to get the job I have right now. I applied for everything going because I would rather work flipping burgers, or picking up trash than be unemployed. And that was 4 years ago, when we were in a better situation, economically, than we are now. I don't really like my job, but I stick at it. Becase I know that if I were to quit, I would be unemployed for far, far longer than I was for those 8 months. Youth unemployment is at it's highest level for something like 17 years. How in the hell do you expect people to simply "go get them". There are dozens of people applying for every job out there. So for every one that gets a job, there are many more who continue to be unemployed. Christ, even using your figures, you can clearly see there is a HUGE shortage of jobs if only 20% of unemployed people could find work.
Cameron's Thatcher seems to be showing again. Easy for someone who gets paid exorbitant amounts of money to sit on his arse and flap his gums to tell everyone to just go and get a job
no and he's not taking action, he's just opening his mouth before his PR person could lunge and close it for him.
What are you even talking about? Do you have any idea what you're talking about? He has been pushing for these welfare reforms, which have been struck down by the house of lords 5 times, for nearly a year - Labour even (generally) supports the reforms. You must be trolling.
yes of course why even go to work i say!! everyone would love to earn only £67.50 a week. that's an amazing lifestyle for absolutely nothing. and you get to go to all of those amazingly fun job search interviews and reviews. thanks david cameron, you totally aren't a shit-headed thatcherite moron.
You are ignoring the fact that JSA isn't the only benefit people claim. [editline]25th January 2012[/editline]
Cameron's Thatcher seems to be showing again. Easy for someone who gets paid exorbitant amounts of money to sit on his arse and flap his gums to tell everyone to just go and get a job
Perhaps you should read the bit in the article where it mentions he is talking about people who live off benefits and have no intention of ever getting a job.
What are you even talking about? Do you have any idea what you're talking about? He has been pushing for these welfare reforms, which have been struck down by the house of lords 5 times, for nearly a year - Labour even (generally) supports the reforms. You must be trolling.
empty words that do nothing except make the conservative party look like the bunch of clueless morons that they are. he has been pushing for these welfare reforms while people need them more than ever and then has the fucking balls to make a statement about it. in the OP it says:
I don't understand how people can criticise David so much, he's entirely correct with everything he said. People need to get jobs.
but your fucking stupid solution to that is to say just get jobs and stop being lazy? you are just as clueless as the conservative party. every statement you've ever made about welfare on this website has been clueless and completely out of touch. we're not talking about numbers, these are actual people who are struggling to get by and all the government does is make a big joke out of it. if you have riots in your country, it's because you are fucking doing something wrong. don't blame the unemployed for not having jobs.
People should stop asking the country what it can do for them. And start asking what they can do for the country.
Yes, because countries need nothing more than the aid of unemployed people living off of welfare.
Perhaps you should read the bit in the article where it mentions he is talking about people who live off benefits and have no intention of ever getting a job.
there's no evidence for any of it.
there's no evidence for any of it.
Well of course there isn't, no one is going to admit to it but it does happen.
Well of course there isn't, no one is going to admit to it but it does happen.
prove it first then zealously accept it as fact. else it's just nonsense. for all the pointless bashing of religion as not based in fact we sure are quick to accept certain things as gospel, aren't we facepunch?
I'm actually genuinely amazed. Do you think that 500,000 jobs is a set figure that will once used never come back? Jobs are always opening and if these people decided to look for a job for the entire 6 months they had been on benefits they would have found plenty of jobs to apply for. It's silly and short sighted to say that just because there's a lower current amount of jobs than unemployment that they can't get any jobs - one of the top excuses for unemployed people.
because me and my mom LOVE being unemployed, let me tell you. its fun when you're panicking what you should sell in your house to make it by the end of the month and your parents are extremely depressed and fighting all the time. you're a jackass for thinking that most people just dont want to work and like the state they are in.
prove it first then zealously accept it as fact. else it's just nonsense. for all the pointless bashing of religion as not based in fact we sure are quick to accept certain things as gospel, aren't we facepunch?
You don't even live in the UK and you're trying to tell two British people about their country with uninformed socialist ramblings and cursing. I witness these people first hand nearly daily. I've provided figures already. There are more than enough articles exposing benefit fraud and abuse.
Hell half the shit you ever hear about with jobs is either you're over qualified, or you don't have enough experience. We are lucky that my father's health insurance is extremely cheap to cover us all, or we would be afraid of getting something as simple as the flu.
You don't even live in the UK and you're trying to tell two British people about their country with uninformed socialist ramblings and cursing.
well i was on JSA before the so-called crack on welfare and i already know how difficult it was. maybe it was a while ago but i'm stay in touch. my mum still lives in the UK in any case.
I witness these people first hand nearly daily. I've provided figures already. There are more than enough articles exposing benefit fraud.
articles by the dailymail aren't proof of anything and neither are the lies you come up with. and you post a fucking jeremy kyle video in response? hahaha. the line "uninformed socialist ramblings and cursing" sticks out as particularly thatcherite.
and you post a fucking jeremy kyle video in response?
Please direct me to where dailymail has been sourced in this thread thank you. Regardless, the daily mail is as credible as any other as far as figures go - it just has dumb bias and targets a stupid audience. Are you going to post properly now please?
