If EA is leaving Steam, I'm not buying any games (other than Mass Effect 3) from them
How does this make more money, explain.
Steam don't get a cut of the sales.
I may sound like evil shit head, but now I honestly hope Lulzsec strikes EA with saying: Move back to steam or go down.
I don't. Seems pretty over the top really.
enjoy being retarded while I play BF3
:what:
I seriously can't believe that the gaming community is this dumb. Remember the days before steam? When you had to find game exe's on your hard drive or have shortcuts plastered on your desktop? Oh wait everyone here is 12 so the answer is no.
Using Origin is not a big deal, fucking get over it. Or buy a retail copy.
oh boy you're a big boy now because you played games before digital distribution
i guess im just a 12 year old since i prefer a list of games rather than navigating to the executable
Having both is unnecessary.
It's more convenient if they're all on one list.
ok well... I'm not gonna boycott good games and get mad just because of a slight inconvenience
"ooh fuck oh fuck i have to open another program to run this game!!!"
can steam and origin users still join the same servers?
Can we just say no for the fun of it
please ?
Can we just say no for the fun of it
please ?
well i don't have a fucking clue, i don't play games
So can you still play it on Steam?
it's like they want people to pirate it

Again, I'm not against Origin but starting a game without Steam was never really the immense struggle you're making it out to be.
ok well... I'm not gonna boycott good games and get mad just because of a slight inconvenience

nothing wrong with people voting with their wallets
they don't want to deal with EA's shit, they don't buy an EA game
if you want to let EA push you around, go ahead and buy it
Wasn't EADM a tryout for something along the lines of Steam that never worked?
Yea keep getting mad. ITS JUST A FUCKING DOWNLOADER. Once you install the game you can DELETE IT. Then you can add BF3 to your games list in STEAM.

add the game to your steam list then???
Just to be clear, I'll bring my point once again. You're acting just like you did when steam came out, acting like it's going to not let you play the games (And this was true for a long time for steam, since it would crash a LOT when you were downloading or trying to launch Half-Life 2), but now you're all using it without problems. Even though you need to have it running (Even if it has to be in offline mode which requires you to have logged on at least once), unlike Origin.
The difference is that Steam actually progressed into something useful, Origins is only going to progress into a future of neglect by their developers.

I didn't say I prefer it. All I am saying is that using two services for games is not a big deal.

this, barnhouse couldn't have said it better
you guys are getting worked up over the tiniest thing
Not buying BF3 if forced to use Origin.
Same here. Same applies to The old Republic.
Yea keep getting mad. ITS JUST A FUCKING DOWNLOADER. Once you install the game you can DELETE IT. Then you can add BF3 to your games list in STEAM.
help someone help i'm fucking retarded and i didn't even read up on what i'm talking about
Well I already canceled my pre-order because of the Back to Karkand Day 1 DLC bullshit. But I guess I can say I canceled for this shit too, EA has a big history of having shit services.
do you even have to run origin to play the game
Yea keep getting mad. ITS JUST A FUCKING DOWNLOADER. Once you install the game you can DELETE IT. Then you can add BF3 to your games list in STEAM.
They might make something so you can't do that.
I dunno, but I wouldn't be suprised.
add the game to your steam list then???
why do i need to run 2 unoptimized services to play my game comfortably?
why cant i just play it on steam like normal?
Kopimi obviously your getting mad over nothing. Click Library in steam and click ADD A NON STEAM GAME.
Its the same thing as having a Steam game.

why dont you stop being a whiny little bitch
And if you actually read the thread you would know that you do not need to have Origin running to play the game.

Please don't pull this shit when BF3 comes out.
