I don't think anyone would help north korea
Sure they would. Because it'd be worth a LOT in propaganda value for N. Korea's enemies, and because it'd probably mean South Korea would take over.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_response_to_Hurricane_Katrina
Honestly, reading that made me giddy with the thought that there's so much actual love and care for people in times of tragedy, even by countries or people seen as our "rivals". It gives me hope Obama's right and humanity will act as one someday.
Why don't you offer assistance to your own debt-ridden country
Why don't you offer assistance to your own debt-ridden country
Yeah, let's send our money... to ourselves! Thus gaining money in the process! It's brilliant! :downs:
Yeah, let's send our money... to ourselves! Thus gaining money in the process! It's brilliant! :downs:
Because I said send money, right? From the trillions of dollars in debt.
Why don't you offer assistance to your own debt-ridden country
Why don't you stop being so fucking selfish? Japan needs all the support it can get right now, we're not the one with an earthquake of a magnitude of 9.1
Why don't you stop being so fucking selfish? Japan needs all the support it can get right now, we're not the one with an earthquake of a magnitude of 9.1
I don't even live in USA. And I feel terrible for the Japanese, trust me.
FUCKING ASSHOLE. I knew he would do this. Now, I understand it, we trade with Japan a lot, most of our electronics are Japanese, but, face it, we probably won't ever get paid back in return. I hope this shaves off some of our debt or some shit because this is stupid.
"The Japanese Foreign Ministry said that it would provide $200,000 to the American Red Cross to assist victims of Hurricane Katrina. Japan also identified needs in affected regions via the U.S. government and provided up to $300,000 in emergency supplies such as tents, blankets and power generators if they receive requests from the U.S. for such assistance. One Japanese individual, Takashi Endo, donated USD 1 million from his personal funds to Katrina relief efforts." You are a fucking asshole.
Why don't you offer assistance to your own debt-ridden country
Wow thats a great idea! I mean why didn't we think of that. Man you're so smart
Politicians have to look like they care.
because he's a politician and that mean's he really doesn't care about anything.......right........
Well surely its Americas job to help them recover anyway as Japan doesnt have a proper army to hand out supplies?
Well surely its Americas job to help them recover anyway as Japan doesnt have a proper army to hand out supplies?
Their self-defense force is logistically capable, if that's what you're questioning. They have the equipment for defending their nation, and... not much else.
Watch this get taken down by Republicans and denounced as "terrorism" or "the minority races ganging up and threatening white people" or other such bullshit.
Watch this get taken down by Republicans and denounced as "terrorism" or "the minority races ganging up and threatening white people" or other such bullshit.
What? What you just said is so dumb, I had to read it twice to make sure you weren't kidding or some shit. It's an earthquake, how in the entire fucking world could this be compared to terrorism?

Republicans take every opportunity they can to smite the Obama administration, along with the Democrats as a whole. What I meant was that they would probably oppose this simply because Obama is doing it (terrorism being a common excuse for such arbitrary accusations).

It almost seems like you are doing the exact same thing right now to republicans.
Jesus christ, why is everyone even trying to bring politics in this? Its a fucking earthquake, there are people fucking dying over there and anyone who's going to shit on about how Obama is an asshole for sending aid because 'we don't have enough money' or 'the Japanese have never done the same to us' is a fucking disgrace. This isn't something to bring politics into.
Japan is a first world country, I'm pretty sure they can handle it. AFAIK, no other country helped the US with Katrina.
Japan is a first world country, I'm pretty sure they can handle it. AFAIK, no other country helped the US with Katrina.
Have you even read the thread? Fair sure there were quite a number of posts last page talking about how Japan itself donated quite a lot of money and efforts to help US when Katrina struck. It doesn't matter that they're a first world country - this earthquake and following tsunami has devastated the place and they're going to have a hard time recovering without help.
I was talking to a friend in Chile once, and she was telling me how there was an earthquake going on right then. That motherfucker didn't even get out of her chair. Fucking rad.
Japan is a first world country, I'm pretty sure they can handle it. AFAIK, no other country helped the US with Katrina.
No other country helped the US because the US nearly rejected 90% of all the aid it was offered.
Japan is a first world country, I'm pretty sure they can handle it. AFAIK, no other country helped the US with Katrina.
It's good for PR

It's nice of us to offer at least.
I don't even live in USA. And I feel terrible for the Japanese, trust me.
We could tell, you obviously have some major problem with America.
ITT: Assholes who think we shouldn't help other countries in the face of disaster, like how the world helped us in Katrina.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_response_to_Hurricane_Katrina
AFGHANISTAN donated money to the United States during Hurricane Katrina. It doesn't get any better than that, people.
