What gimmick will be added this time? Pokemon clothing stores?
Lmao, holy shit, I'm not reading any of that.
So as soon as someone brings up a whole bunch of points that negate your comment you brush it off like it's nothing?
I think Psychic always was weak to Bug, but there just weren't goodbug moves that inflicted good damage at the time.
I still have no idea how people don't think Mario hasn't been sucked dry to the bones of its marrow itself and say Pokemon has been milked dry.
GodDAMN, not even cod has these many games.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Mario_video_games
I'm well aware those can be cameos and whatever and so on, but ffs you guys start fires over Activision shooting 3 cod titles that look alike (and are infact, sequels) but don't even wait a second every time Mario shits yet another game.
20 years! Compared to 3 games of cod in a couple or few more years...
Yeah man, Mario Kart was such a rehash of Yoshi's Island, and Luigi's Mansion was just a cheap port of Paper Mario.
Yeah man, Mario Kart was such a rehash of Yoshi's Island, and Luigi's Mansion was just a cheap port of Paper Mario.
Yeah man, totally disregard the number of Mario Party and Mario Kart games and all the other Bla Bla: 2/3/4/whatever number of sequels from YET another game with Mario, and don't even mention the number of games where he's just in it to appeal to Mario suckers.
From what I heard, Vanillish and it's evolutions were made by an American.
Just sayin' since everybody's talking about how different Gen V pokemon look compared to others.

people still play pokemon?
Can we please just ban the people who have nothing to contribute to this thread? Yes, some of us still play a game aimed at 10 year-old children, because we were 10 (Or younger) when we started playing the games, and it was a big part of some of our childhoods. No need to be a dick about it.

And Mario Party 9 is going to be original as fuck.

You can accuse Nintendo of pasting their mascot on loads of shovelware, but you can't accuse Mario games of being rehashes. If anything, lots of the games are dying for a revisit.

He designed Golurk. All is forgiven.

I'd rather they were a rehash and in a lesser number than what they are now. I seriously doubt even half of them are better than rehashes.

All the shovelware party ones, and even those aren't that bad all things considered, don't make the good games any less good.
They're not direct sequels, they're being called "Version 2" in the NOA Press release. They're a Second Version.
To me the fused forms look kind of ugly, hoping that the 'complete' form that consists of all 3 won't look like they just got put into a blender. I was kinda hoping that the fused forms would look closer to this mock-up (IE looks entirely different than the current forms, but still familiar) than blending half their features together.
Who cares if there are a million mario games.
Most of them are really fun, so im not complaining.
The key difference is that they always manage to reinvent the formula to keep it fun.
And Mario Party 9 is going to be original as fuck.
Funny you say that because Mario Party 9 has no free for all mode, has bosses, and lets you play with 2, 3, or 4 players, so you dont always need computer players. And people complaining about Mario, what Mario does is different each game, Galaxy being the only exception, but you see how they come up with new ideas for the most part and only bring back enemies and powerups because people love them, even then a lot of powerups dont come back most of the time in the main series, like the Mega Mushroom.
And Mario Party 9 is going to be original as fuck.
Except that the side series Mario games (basically any of the games Miyamoto didn't make) aren't really worth noting as "Mario games." Mario Party for example is better classed as "minigame collection with Mario characters shoved in."
Please tell me these will at least be released on the 3DS.
I'm interested in seeing how this is done. It can't exactly follow the same character since you would need to start with high level pokemon for that to makes sense.

What would be interesting is if the 3D models which were made for the 3DS Pokedex thing were used instead of sprites.
Please tell me these will at least be released on the 3DS.
nope

That's the worst part
it isn't
Suddenly i'm happy i'm going to Japan in June.
I still stand by modern pokemon names being worse and less logical

do you actually know the names or are you just going by your silly image macro and you're about to look them up now
I still stand by modern pokemon names being worse and less logical
You could also argue that the older names were unoriginal and too obvious.
I still stand by modern pokemon names being worse and less logical
just about all pokemon names are generally unoriginal or dont make sense/just random words stuck together
naming doesnt mean anything, seriously

most of the time the names are common sense but sometimes you need to use your brain a smidgen to get it
Has anyone here complaining about current generation Pokemon actually played them?

Pokemon Gold GOTY all years
Pokemon Gold GOTY all years
Silver was better.
Silver was better.
It was the same fucking game except it involved Lugia rather than Ho-oh.
How can you honestly say it was "better?"
I seriously wish game freak would drop some details on this project of theirs. I'd love to see whats going to set these apart from B/W.

It's better because it's the one I had as a kid.
If you asked my brother he would say gold is better, but he would be wrong.
