I already said they were vastly different. Perhaps you should compare instead of spewing out shit you dont know.
BLACK AND WHITE WERE THE BEST
BECAUSE REUSABLE TM'S
um what's different in black/white 2?
um what's different in black/white 2?
it was just announced today we don't know yet
Well, this thread is a trainwreck.
Who cares if it's a "direct sequel" or "Pokemon Gray". It's a new Pokemon game, and if you like it, play it. If you don't like it, don't play it and move along. Don't, however, say it's "stupid/lazy" just because they're making a sequel.
Pretty much the exact same argument can be used against any sequel and it's just retarded to use it. How would anyone here like it if I said that HL2 ep. 1 and 2 were "lazy and uninspired"? Obviously that's not true because the episodes are fucking awesome, but this is basically what all of you are doing. We don't even know anything about the game, so lay off and start throwing around your opinions when we know more.
Oh, and if you just don't like Pokemon, well, congratulations I guess. I don't see why you're in this thread other than to hate on people who do.
Bring on Pokemon Snap 2
God damnit game freak! Give me my pokemon gray!
I'll still be buying this. Black and white were the best things since ruby and sapphire in my opinion.
Pokemon: We could think of over 500 pokemon, but only 19 titles for our games.
Soon they will resort to using textures
They killed it after Emerald. It's like they thought to themselves, LET'S RUN THIS SHIT INTO THE GROUND! :v:

they improved it vastly after emerald anybody who actually played can see that
you're just talking out your ass from atop the bandwagon like the others
man those new pokemon sure do look like ass
Pokemon died for me when I turned 7 (I think they just started with the second gen)

It's not that it got worse after Emerald or anything else. It's just that it really didn't get any better so for a lot of people, it got more monotonous to do the same exact thing for the upteenth time.
Only improvements they've made are better visuals and new Pokemon. It's not a worse game it's just the same game.
I mean they can't even be arsed to have some sort of new story type deal. It's just Team Rocket with a different name, same gym leaders with different names, and basically every character is the same as before but with a new name and haircut.

it's like you people aren't even reading the thread, check the last 2 pages
you're so wrong on all accounts, don't try to critique something when you clearly have no idea what you're talking about because you look foolish

Are you talking to me? I've tried my hand at playing each one of the recent games to come out. But apparently playing the games themselves won't teach me nearly as much as what you have to say.
well obviously it wont if all you did was merely "try your hand" at them
well obviously it wont if all you did was merely "try your hand" at them
I'd say I got about halfway through each one. Far enough to confirm my previous statement is true enough.

"Ask me about my Pokemon fetish". Well I think that says enough.
no, half-way isn't enough
generally for pokemon games, the more advanced features are available towards the end (battle frontier, pal park, new routes/towns/activities/etc)
if all you did was hurp it to about half way and say WALP THERE WERE SOME GYMS AND SOME POKEMON AND SOME BAD GUYS I GUESS THEY WERE THE SAME GAME then you've done nothing for yourself

What the christ are you talking about? What I'm trying to say is no matter what anyone else say's, you will be biased in your opinion about Pokemon and what I pointed out is a clear representation of it. I stopped playing Pokemon after Emerald as I moved on from it and took on other hobbies. I quite enjoyed Emerald but from what I've seen after that, it appears to be just new pokemon, some new mini-games and that's about it.
The newer Pokemon games haven't really been reinvented, it's just newer graphics and whatnot. I tried playing Soul Silver and I just couldn't do it for more than 5 minutes. Nostalgia might have hit me hard though. And almost every time a sequel to something is never better than the original.
I didn't even bother playing black and white, I couldn't be bothered learning more pokemon :v:

I'm talking about how more advanced features are generally available towards the end of the games
reading is hard, I know, but we all have to learn at some point
just because you're distracted by bright red words doesn't make what I say any less truthful, it's rather childish of you to actually take that title seriously

It's easy to overlook this defining change that was introduced in the 4th Gen if you haven't played any of the DS games, I'm only judging this from what I've bolded.
I tried to type out what I mean but it's better to read this instead.
Damage categories are categories introduced in Generation IV that categorize moves based on the kind of damage they deal. In previous generations, a move would base its power on the user's Attack and the target's Defense or the user's Special Attack and the target's Special Defense depending on its type. For example, all Fighting-type moves were the former, while all Fire-type moves were the latter. However, in Generation IV, a move like Focus Blast is both Fighting-type and bases its damage on the Special Attack and Special Defense of the user and target, respectively.
The addition of this feature to the games has altered the playing field somewhat, as now Pokémon are allowed a much greater degree of freedom with the types of move that can be used. For example, under the former system, Sneasel, which has a much greater Attack than Special Attack, would often be forced to ignore all moves that would give it STAB, due to Ice-type and Dark-type moves both being calculated from its Special Attack, the base of which is a low 35, compared to its Attack base stat, 95.
Overall, when the feature was first announced, the change was very controversial among fans, as many players were unsure of which moves from the previous three generations would be affected. Eventually, this fear of losing hard-trained Pokémon due to the conversion died down, and as movesets were revealed, the change became an accepted part of the game.
While the moves remain, for the most part, in the same category that they were in before, the majority of moves of a formerly "Special" type that were given status as Physical, as well as moves of a formerly "Physical" type that were given status as Special, are obvious changes, as is the case with Fire Punch, Ice Punch, and ThunderPunch. Several new moves, as well, were introduced to give more balance to formerly all-Special and all-Physical types, such as the Psychic-type, which got Zen Headbutt and Psycho Cut, and the Fighting-type, which got Focus Blast, Vacuum Wave, and Aura Sphere.
Moves that deal no direct damage were also given a category; however, as they never dealt damage in the first place, no moves formerly of other categories were moved to this category, and no moves moved from this category to another.

There is more than meets the eye, because if I were to give you a copy of the newer games and if you were expecting the same game with new Pokemon I bet you would be noticing all the changes and additions.

You expect people to take you seriously after attempting to act like a little boy throwing insults at another person? Utterly pathetic.
discrediting what I say just because of some joke text is equally as such and further proves your ignorance
Wow, some of you guys give the Rose-Tinted Nostalgia Glasses company a run for it's money.
I was expecting a Pokemon Grey but the sequels really threw me off.
But with how much they changed out of the norm with B/W anyways, now I'm not surprised at all.
I look forward to see what they do.
Yes, for those that didn't bother playing Black/White, they changed a lot with what they usually do with the stories (BEAT TERRORIST, GET LEGENDARY, BECOME BEST POKEYMIN TRAINER) and made it much more in-depth. There's much more to your rivals and villains then in previous games.

No. I also read your posts throughout this thread and whenever someone makes an opinion against this game series you call them "Bandwagoners" and "Kids". If you cannot handle the fact that someone does not like what you like then go cry in a corner. I think Pokemon is now quite terrible. Deal with it. Stop being such an immature little boy and listen to what other people have to say instead of being a biased little idiot and resorting to calling them names. Pathetic.

I'm just wondering what they will do with it.
Something like Yellow/Crystal/Emerald/Platinum in changing the storyline and adding more to the game plus gameplay balances? Or starting from the point in the timeline where N flys off with the legendary, incorporating Kyurem as a plot device.
The latter would need you to start over from scratch and might make you some other person of importance (not the chosen one etc).
