A new story would be welcome. I mean, third versions can be nice, but ehh. [editline]26th February 2012[/editline] Wouldn't work with the theme of opposites they had going.
To those people saying that new features such as reusable TMs or breeding don't warrant a new sequel: How do you plan on adding those along with new graphics on a little cartridge?
Zekrom and Reshiram had aspects of human/Pokemon harmony that each had good points and totally complemented each other while being absolutely unable to unify. Perhaps Kyurem would be something that patches in between those ideals? Or would it overshadow both of them? There is only so much anybody could distinguish from just a sequel announcement and supposed fusions of these dragons.
Im waiting for Genius Sorority to wake up and make a new pokemon adventure for Wii U or something. Or maybe Hal and Nintendo can team up again and bring us Pokemon Stadium 3, or Pokemon Snap for 3DS which would really fit. I wont buy Black or White, but my major gripe with it is that they wont advance the series to new technology or utilize what the 3DS can do, because it will probably be 2 years or some shit before we get a 3DS pokemon game, and there are so many possibilities that could make pokemon badass for any player. AR Card battling, using streetpass to get random items from people, Nintendo Network DLC or updates, the gorgeous 3D models actually being used. Its a damn shame.
No. I also read your posts throughout this thread and whenever someone makes an opinion against this game series you call them "Bandwagoners" and "Kids". If you cannot handle the fact that someone does not like what you like then go cry in a corner. I think Pokemon is now quite terrible. Deal with it. Stop being such an immature little boy and listen to what other people have to say instead of being a biased little idiot and resorting to calling them names. Pathetic.
I don't see why you're flaming, you're the only one resorting to harsh insults, and it's not even that big a deal opinions can still be unfounded, you know, as most of these posts are, and I'm allowed to refute them for example, if I said "assassin's creed 1 was boring and had limited, repetitive features, therefore the rest of the games must be similarly lacking" I'd be wrong, wouldn't I? I know for a fact that AC2 adds more features and mechanics, and that's exactly what happens in pokemon, too. It doesn't need a complete revamp every time, but improved features along with new ones are gradually added to the mix, making it more fun and improving the quality overall. That's what a sequel is meant to do.
i only hope on the next pokemon that they actually make all the older pokemon part of the game too. all the new games lately have completely left out the older pokemon and just focused on the current and the last generation.
To those people saying that new features such as reusable TMs or breeding don't warrant a new sequel: How do you plan on adding those along with new graphics on a little cartridge?
People are saying that? I've only read, what, this page and the first page and that is what people are saying? Fuck, that's like saying the WWE games are all the same or the new FIFA game only has an updated roster for the new season (I have no quarrels with either franchise (okay maybe a little with Football games)).
you're the only one resorting to harsh insults, and it's not even that big a deal - Read your posts again or would you like me to point out your ignorance? for example, if I said "assassin's creed 1 was boring and had limited, repetitive features, therefore the rest of the games must be similarly lacking" I'd be wrong, wouldn't I?- Well I wouldn't really care as that's your opinion and I wouldn't call you childish for stating it.
i only hope on the next pokemon that they actually make all the older pokemon part of the game too. all the new games lately have completely left out the older pokemon and just focused on the current and the last generation.
What? Both Gen4 and Gen5 had LOADS of Pokemon from all previous generations available in-game. Gen4 actually had the most Pokemon available in-game compared to any other generation so far. http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/List_of_Pok%C3%A9mon_by_in-game_availability Unless of course you mean to say that they aren't even programmed in, which is false. Every generation has all of the previous gen Pokemon in the game, just not obtainable without importing/trading (which is the point of the entire series in the first place - trading).
Wait will this be on the 3DS?
Wait will this be on the 3DS?
no
What the hell? Nintendo, you got the 3DS and you still have them release this for the old DS when the 3DS is dying and in need of games.
not giving it 3D functionality was a weird move indeed, I guess it would make sense for the sequel to be on the same system? either way I'm not complaining, I only have my trusty old friend the DSi
What the hell? Nintendo, you got the 3DS and you still have them release this for the old DS when the 3DS is dying and in need of games.
What would the main Pokemon RPG series gain from the 3DS? Do you really need that in ~threee-deee~? Awesome graphics would be cool, but ultimately aren't necessary, especially for direct sequels that aim to stay in the same generation while simply expanding story. I'm sure the next big, fully-developed-from-scratch Pokemon RPGs will be on 3DS. These don't need to be, though.

Plus all the possible features the 3DS could show off that i listed that would actually be cool, novelty or not, it would give attention to the series.

However in the case of Black and White it was entirely intentional until you finished the storyline (also known as the extra plot RIGHT AFTER the Elite 4), in which case you get roughly 15% more area to explore with the ability to catch a large selection of the older Pokemon.

The 3DS camera can be use to simulate finding pokemon in AR The next pokemon game (side games or otherwise) had better be on the 3DS or else they are wasting the potential uses of the 3DS.
perhaps the WiiU will have something neat in store instead Pokemon Stadium 3 with online support would be real nice
Still waiting for 3D pokemon.
perhaps the WiiU will have something neat in store instead Pokemon Stadium 3 with online support would be real nice
Very fucking nice indeed, if the quality is anything like what they put into making the Pokedex 3D application (for those who haven't seen any videos of it, think of amazing animations and attention to detail) then I can only see it being great.
Pokemon is shit, it's basically a Japanese Call of Duty it even has the same target audience
Your opinion means soo much to all of us :allears: [editline]26th February 2012[/editline]
100+ new Pokemon and additions and changes in gameplay mechanics is hardly a rehash. The concept will always be the same though.
Leave him alone, in his mind, pokemon should now turn into something completely different :v: [editline]26th February 2012[/editline]
You do realize the new pokemon just replace the old ones? Remember how in the beginning of new pokemon games, you always fight a bunch of rodent pokemon? They just replace said rodent with another.
By that logic, you shouldn't play any other games anymore, since playing the same types of games will just have some stuff replacing other stuff.
Some of the newer pokemon are really ridiculous though. I mean, this ones got fucking spikey anal beads spinning around it.

I was really expecting them to make a Grey verson or whatever like usual, Im scratching my head why they are doing this suddenly. (...Which might have something to do with money, but there must be another reason)
How can you make a sequel to a game that makes its plot with a mad libs template?

Permanent part of my team, awesome pokemon. You can even eat him if you're ever hungry, I mean cmon.

Is fucking hilarious and you know it. [editline]26th February 2012[/editline]
How can you make a sequel to a game that makes its plot with a mad libs template?
Ignoring the first two generations, I find the villainous team plots to be pretty entertaining. In Black/White it's actually really good, and for once, there are characters you can legitimately give a shit about!
