singapore and america are a world apart, and stupid and batshit insane as the population of my country is, I'd rather live here than there any day.
mainly because singapore is stupid and batshit insane too, just with harsher jail sentences and more emotional repression
Oh my god, two hot women making out, get them off the screen before it turns me gay.
Oh no, I am now lesbian by proxy.

Not on this issue. Same-sex kisses also send you all foaming brown goo. But if you think you're excused because it's not punishable, just taboo... then good for you. As for jail sentences... Which fucking America do you live in, because i'm pretty sure 'Merica is one of the most harsh and unforgiving so called Civilized justice and prison system in the west. 20 years for a warning shot. 12 years for assault while drunk. a "get out of jail free" card for killing black kids. Sure looks shit from here bro.

Actually. We lead horrible lifestyles because we're half-way inspired by hollywood and half inspired by general american culture. That includes: suicide by fat, making yourself dangerous to society by Bible and banning educational subjects in favour of pretending myths are in fact historical events.
Horrible lifestyles comes from horrible heritage and norms.

Somebody PLEASE introduce this guy to online porn, PLEASE.
This whole women making out on stage thing is not offensive to me, but definitely odd.
Why do they do it? I feel like there is something vaguely sexist about this considering if two famous guys did it on stage the reaction would be wholy different...
I'm assuming they did it to stick it to the Singaporean government which is pretty anti-gay.
I think there are even some silly laws against certain sexual acts like oral and anal.

Congratulations, by fishing anecdotes from a country of 300 million people separated into fifty distinct states with different laws and sentences you have proven that it's legal system is more broken than that of a country which outlaws porn, gay sex and chewing gum and still employs caning.
For your next feat of intellectual acrobatics why don't you prove that Columbia is a nicer place to live than Britain by posting a picture of the riots.
Oh, and lets not forget the mandatory death penalty for possession of too much weed. Yeah, Singapore is a regular fucking bastion of freedom.
Calm Down. You might strain yourself. Congratulations ón missing The point.
Singapore sounds like a fun place to live in

Guys do do it on stage. It's always seen as comedy though

what, the point that something being punishable and something being taboo to a specific demographic are the exact same thing and shouldn't be separated
sorry that I missed that nugget of wisdom

The point was that it's unacceptable that it's any of those things you fucking numb-skull. There are many things you can bully and abuse a minority for, but Homosexuality, Much like race and downs syndrome isn't one of the acceptable ones. Believing in the bible and wanting to impose that on everyone else IS. Reacting strongly against homosexuals with poor reasoning IS. They can't hurt your fucking family values America, so please fuck off and Singapore, Sex is a part of life, Stop trying to control your citizens' basic urges.
That was my fucking point. Freedom of existence and the right to happiness goes beyond just legislations, but also societal norms. The thing about American punishement and justice was to show that Americans get locked up for fucked up reasons. It's a natural parallel to use on a country that wants everyone to adhere to their golden perfect standards... IMO you're on the same level as Singapore when it comes to civil freedoms. Just on different points. You guys are really fucked up from a European perspective.
What i meant to say was: Get off your high horse. You don't have the right to gloat when you're not better yourself.
So yeah. you just missed the point by a mile and went all shitfaced about it. Good job son.

When we start locking people up for fucking in ways we don't want them to or killing people for having things we think are bad for them, then you can tell me that the US and Singapore are equal.
Is the US shit? Yes. I never argued otherwise. I'm arguing that Singapore is shittier. I don't know where you got the idea that I was saying that the US is a paragon of justice and freedom. Maybe you should read more carefully before you start accusing me of being on a high horse while simultaneously accusing me of having a shitfit and not paying attention to your nuanced opinion.
Singapore is extremely prude about relationships in the public. When I was there a month ago even normal couples wouldn't kiss in public.
