Don't you guys see it? This will only follow by a series of events that foreshadow the end of the world for later this year. It truly is the end.
You people over sensationalize this.. a Japanese 7.0 is like a British Columbia 3.0 in terms of preparation. Earthquakes happen all the fucking time.
Mother Nature failed the first time, she's trying to get all the weird off again.

I best best Korea is behind this!!!
Are you daft or just mentally insane? This isn't New York City... Japan is very easily able to manage a 7 quake, even the reactors and everything are build VERY strictly for this kind of stuff.
I have more common sense than you, clearly. The most that will happen is people will glance about a little and loose focus... then get back with their lives. Burn and smolder in collapsing buildings? Absolutely impossible. If it was bigger, and actually was a threat, yes, I'd be afraid, am I? No, it's not a threat.
An earthquake is a fucking earthquake.
Even if you're living in Japan, where towns are built for earthquakes, you would quiver in fear when the ground just starts shaking, regardless if it was a 5.0 or the 9.0 they faced months ago.
And foremost, yes. This was over-sensationalized, but at least show some compassion as a human, instead of going, "Fuck them, it's just a 7.0 that did not even damage anything."

I am compassionate, but I'm not going to bleed out for a mere sneeze. That's just stupid. And yes, I would be afraid if there was an earth quake that was 7 considering I live in Sub urban New York and that never happens and we aren't actually prepared for that like japan is 100% of the time.
Crying over this is like crying over that time Justin Biebers grandparents got into a car crash... and were perfectly ok.

Don't worry guys, it's going to be fine.

I wonder if anyone else is going to think that this is GOADS ROVONGE on Japan for bombing Pearl Harbor like so many did earlier this yea when they were struck with that huge 9.0 earthquake. That was sickening.

I've lived through at least 2 earthquakes, being in Washington State. They are scary for a minute until it ends. Then you laugh it off and can talk to your friends about "where you were when the earthquake hit".
If it doesn't cause much damage, then it's actually sort of exciting.

Are you serious? Even if it is extremely common, it DOESN'T mean it isn't dangerous. You act as though its just "oh, just another thing in Japan." -snipped part of it-. Looking further, it apparently did delay some trains and
The earthquake measured 4 in central Tokyo

guys I solved the problem
Japan is Michael J. Fox in landmass form

Have you ignored every single post about how stupid being worried about this is?

How does that solve the problem?
Besides, the title is misleading. The epicentre is really far from Japan. It was only a magnitude 2 to 4 in the parts of Japan that were hit, which is nothing at all. They don't talk about it on TV here either, for a good reason. There's no danger of a tsunami, so this is really just business as usual.

Because as far as we know, nothing did happen.
The Meteorological Agency says the offshore quake Sunday struck about 370 kilometers (230 miles) below the sea surface. The agency said there was no danger of a tsunami. There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
If a later source tells us there were injuries or damages, that's a whole different story. But so far there is nothing to get all excited about.
so begins the end of the world

The guys in R.E.M. weren't just writing a song. They were also delivering a prophecy. :tinfoil:
This really sucks for Japan. Twice, well not in the same year, I guess, technically. But even if this quake isn't too serious, it's still pretty sad for Japan.
Ok? Japan is built for this stuff... and it's on a fault.
Just watch as people over-sensationalize.
Oops... too late.
Don't be a smart arse . Fuck sake.
It IS news because of the Tsunami not long ago so the last thing they need is another earthquake to shake their confidence, especially when it's going to take so long and cost so much to rebuild from that terrible period . Why does that even have to be stated to you ? Everybody understands earthquakes happen alot and there's a fault line, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't care about the poor buggers when they do happen.
"Oh hey there was a big earthquake in San Francisco earlier, lots of people died but fuck them they deserve it for living on a fault line lolz XDD you silly people shouldn't feel bad for them !!1shift1"
Have some damn empathy .
How does that solve the problem?
go back to the future, man
Oh for fucks sake guys, read the damn thread before replying.
Earthquakes hit Japan a LOT. The vast majority of them do no damage. This was one of those.
It sounds scary because it was a magnitude 7 at the epicentre. But the epicentre was quite far from the Japanese islands. Please calm down.
