Damn earthquakes, what do you have against Japan?
OP you are la... Oh fuck, you aren't... Goddamn... This is just sad. I always wanted to go to Japan, and if I would get to go there, it probably wouldn't be what it was before.
Thats earths way of saying happy new years! :P
Don't be a smart arse . Fuck sake. It IS news because of the Tsunami not long ago so the last thing they need is another earthquake to shake their confidence, especially when it's going to take so long and cost so much to rebuild from that terrible period . Why does that even have to be stated to you ? Everybody understands earthquakes happen alot and there's a fault line, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't care about the poor buggers when they do happen. "Oh hey there was a big earthquake in San Francisco earlier, lots of people died but fuck them they deserve it for living on a fault line lolz XDD you silly people shouldn't feel bad for them !!1shift1" Have some damn empathy .
You are truly not getting the point. Have a box. And did you even read any of those quotes? No, you thought you were being cool and heroic by posting this instead. Yes you shouldn't care when all they felt was a 4... and barely 2 towns did. For Japan, that is such an average thing, that it doesn't mean shit. This isn't a 9.0 that is killing people, stop shit smearing and being stupid. I'm not saying you shouldn't care if people die you spineless fool, I'm saying you shouldn't care when NOT A THING EVEN HAPPENS. Japan had a slight inconvenience, that's all, how do you not understand this? Are you so emotional that you're the type who would cry until you vomit over their 4th cousins goldfish dying. Earthquakes hit Japan a LOT. The vast majority of them do no damage. This was one of those. It sounds scary because it was a magnitude 7 at the epicentre. But the epicentre was quite far from the Japanese islands. Please calm down.
[I]Welcome to Facepunch.... I love you. Welcome to Facepunch.... I love you. Welcome to Facepunch....
I wonder if anyone else is going to think that this is GOADS ROVONGE on Japan for bombing Pearl Harbor like so many did earlier this yea when they were struck with that huge 9.0 earthquake. That was sickening.
~God gettin revenge for pealr harbor ya hurd rep0st if U like dis status~ ~in Crist Jeezus we pray hallylooja~
On the bright side, they may gain another island from it.

Guys, 7.0 Earthquakes are nothing. One hit us in DC this summer and did virtually nothing other than knock some things off the shelf and we aren't even built like we're on a fault line. This wouldn't get a second glance if they hadn't had a 9.0 earthquake earlier. Oh and I've been to the town the Epicenter was under and it's buildings are old and poorly built. The most damage there was a fallen over chimney.
Suicide bombers and rape are common in certain areas of the world, so they're not really news worthy War is common on Planet Earth, not really news worthy. come on man.
Rape and war are also caused by humans. Japan has top notch earthquake protection, considering where it is geologically. Ease up people, this really isn't that newsworthy. If it happened in the center of a plate, where there's less protection against earthquakes, then you should report it.

Well, at least no-one was hurt, but im turning my attention to the unstable nuclear reactor. Did the earthquake effect that at all?
Just for reference, people, this one was 100-250 times *weaker* than the one that fucked all their shit up last year. Don't worry about it. Did the earthquake effect that at all?
The nuclear reactors have (according to TEPCO) reached a full cold shutdown - the most they'll have to worry about is any new cracks that could cause radioactive water to seep into the ground.
Next Year: Godzilla
