What a boring prank. At my old school the students in the year before us used weedkiller to burn dicks into the school field that can be seen on Google Maps. And you know how punished they were? Zero punished
And did they manage to show up on it?
That many zeroes is going to put a pretty big strain on the school system in that area. Many of those students will have to stay an additional year which means they will have to expand a lot of the classes to be able to accommodate the increased number of students.
Maybe if they only did one thing every 6 weeks. But they don't, they do shit tons of stuff for the 6 weeks and it's averaged. One day of work isn't going to do anything. I'd be more worried if the suspension counts the day as an unexcused absence, because depending on the school, if you accumulate enough unexcused absences (My school was 9 per semester) you lose your credit for that entire semester. In my high school, You needed a certain amount of points to graduate to the next year, each class per semester is 0.5 points. My high school had 6 classes. Miss 9 days, ALL the work you did, no matter what grades you got on it, straight A's or what, it doesn't count and you get to repeat those classes the next year, without graduating
The senior prank at my school 2 years ago was to go into the dean's office and turn EVERYTHING upside down, including his desk, the chairs, the table, the lamp, and his computer. Did not end well.
Damn, if someone had tried that at my school, the Dean would have murdered him.
What a lame prank. Where I come from we would hide raw fish in the ceiling tiles and let chickens loose in the hallways.
A couple years ago the senior class put our school on ebay for $250,000.
Hey my state is finally in the news.
Our senior prank, we played pacman over the intercom while several seniors dressed in ghost outfits chased one guy that was dressed as pacman during a class switch.
You guys watch the video? It's not like they're missing all of their exams. It's a pretty short suspension.
Missing any of your exams for a prank is pretty awful. And completely unjustified too. No matter how much shit you do, it shouldn't affect your academic rating, because it says nothing about your skills - there's other ways to punish people. In short: Blue Valley School District, FUCK YOU.
So these students were suspended for going into a pool wearing swimsuits I don't understand
A couple years ago the senior class put our school on ebay for $250,000.
. How did that go.?
maybe that'll teach them to not do stupid shit like that
There are two seniors at my high school, and very polite, I am not kidding. It's a new school, like maybe a few years old, mostly online, so I won't be seeing a prank in a while. Me and my friends are jackasses.
Our senior prank was stealing all the staplers, rulers and non-electric shit out of the classrooms and cooking them all into little tins of green horrible-tasting jello. It would have been better, but the class before us got in a shitload of trouble for barricading the doors with tables and climbing on top of the school and drawing penises on the skylights with windows markers.
Sounds like this will hurt the school's future funding.
maybe that'll teach them to not do stupid shit like that
The same way shooting a baby will teach it not to cry?
you all are bad people vandalising the public education system next you all will be doing heroin and leaping off highrises
Last year some of the seniors left alarm clocks in their lockers. Was just weird. Kinda want to fake a murder, but that would quickly involve the police.
Not as bad as last year in my school, classical music playing over the speaker, a YOLO and #SWAG made out of forks on the front lawn, and a gorilla cutout in the front of the school Some people have no talent
Sometimes I feel that my true purpose is to make people wonder what the fuck is going on. That being said, I'll be a Senior next year, and I can't think of anything. I think what happened last year was that some cunts just cut down a tree. Not funny, just destructive and kind of stupid.
PHOTOGRAPHY IS NOT A CRIME. Why is the school punishing this kid for something he didn't even directly take part in?
if it was obvious he was there to record it, he was part of the whole event and still to be considered along with the rest of them. I mean, it isn't like he just kind of walked by the area and found them doing it, look at the place it's closed down, everybody's in there whoopin' it up. Hell, I'd consider that seriously dangerous, nearly a hundred people cramming into a pool where you can't see shit. someone could have been knocked out by an idiot diving in and drowned because nobody would even see them
I think we need a thread for senior pranks.
Students stripped off their regular clothes and stripped down to swimsuits underneath. They then plunged into the pool where they cavorted.
just about burst my right lung laughing at this verb usage.
if it was obvious he was there to record it, he was part of the whole event and still to be considered along with the rest of them. I hope that school enjoys having shit credibility with colleges now.
My senior year someone decided to release a bunch of mice into the hallway as a prank. Unfortunately most of the mice were dead by the time they dumped the box on the floor...
I still don't see how suspending 100 students would help.
a friend of mine got suspended for saying "shut the front door" like he was saying shut the fuck up once on a scale of "one" to "that", I'd say this is at least sensible. If they're losing one full day of classes NOT during final week I don't think it's the end of the world, maybe just the end of a math test.
So these students were suspended for going into a pool wearing swimsuits I don't understand
They broke a window to get into a locked area that had the pool. There could have been a fairly good chance that the pool had just been treated with a shock of chlorine or in some other way not fit for swimming in. Probably the main reason they got suspended was the breaking and entering part. edit. Actually, the article says directly "Based on the fact that students broke into a locked area, the district feels that the resultant actions are appropriate."
And did they manage to show up on it?
Of course
We need pictures.
I'll see if some of my friends have some pictures. This isn't the kind of thing were you stick around and take photos. Cameras everywhere, so we dumped it, and got out of there.
This will backfire hard on the school when 25% of their student body's test scores are shit because they were suspended and their state funding gets a huge cut as a result.
